Cheap Cheap Moving

My fiancé and I used Cheap Cheap Moving for a 7 mile, through Houston, move. We hired 3 movers for a 2 bed/2 bath apartment and overall it took 6.5 hours. Our movers (I believe their names were Miguel, Pablo, and Thomas) were hardworking and very friendly! It seemed like they worked the entire time without breaks! Overall, we feel that we got what we signed up for. The company was punctual and honest. All of our furniture arrived in the same condition it left our old apartment in. Hopefully we won't be moving anytime soon, but if we do, we'll use these guys again!

UPDATE:  see original below. So the company contacted me and was incredibly apologetic and offered to compensate me, as well as complete my move as I requested (now, one manager offered me one rate on Yelp and another offered me a different one via email - and all things considered, the difference wasn't negligible... but I think offering any such discount was generous and so I didn't mention the "greater" of the two). Seeing as they had such positive reviews otherwise, I decided to give them another chance. The men arrived at 9 and were done in about 5 hours, which is pretty good, I think. They were polite enough and efficient. Before everything was completed at my new address, the manager, Max, came by to make sure everything was going well and to ensure my problems had been addressed.  Again, I appreciated this attention to customer service. Once all was completed and I had paid, I finally had a chance to reflect. So let me pause here and say that although my husband was there, he was stuck between business phone calls and grief (his father had died a few days prior). At one point I had to go ahead and leave the old address to go to the new one and meet the internet company. CCM finished and arrived at the new house - I paid before I could go back to the old one and double check. (My husband didn't recall anyone saying anything to him other than being ready to go.) When I got there I discovered that apparently my direction to ignore a series of paintings had been misunderstood and EVERYTHING on that side of the garage was left behind. Ok. Not that bad, but cost me two extra trips in a minivan. Once back at home again (finally) we noticed that the corner of a sofa had been knocked out of place (ok, managed to get that fixed) and my son's bed frame had apparently somehow been warped or bent so that the built-in drawer won't close properly (still trying to figure out how to fix that one). SO. I am calling it 4 stars because I really believe they wanted to right a wrong and seem to care about customer service. Ultimately I'd recommend them for that and value - but the recommendation comes with reservation. Why even rate a company that didn't do my move? Well - called them and no one answered. Ok. Left a message. No one returned my call. So I called again a few days later -  no answer. Ok. One more - called again and finally a young lady answers the phone! I explain that I have a quote number and want to check on details so I can finalize the move....the phone beeps several times loudly in my ear (as though someone was pushing random buttons) and then I hear the distinctive sound of having been disconnected. If the most basic tenant of running a business is actually talking to customers, I have no idea why these guys have such a high rating here?

Fantastic service. Every little thing was packed properly and loaded back without any damage. Mike and Juan were very helpful. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. Thank you for your help.

My fiancé and I recently bought our first home, and have had to use a variety of services in the process.  One of these services was, of course, a moving service.  Out of all of the companies we have been in contact with the last month because of our move, Cheap Cheap Movers was absolutely, hands down the best company we had the pleasure of working with.A three-man crew showed up in the time window provided to us on a Saturday morning.  They worked diligently, quickly, never taking a single break.  They were not the most talkative, but very polite overall.  They dealt with our barking dog with grace (and our dog barks and barks at male strangers).  But that's not all.Every item was wrapped and moved with care.  We went through a move about a year earlier, from Illinois to Texas, and that move resulted in a lot of things breaking.  These guys - not a chance of even a scratch on anything.  Cheap Cheap Movers was just so careful, it was amazing.  Then, when they got to the house we were moving into, they saw that the floors were wood, and took extra care setting things down so as to not damage our home.  I couldn't believe it.On top of that, to avoid damaging certain furniture pieces, even though we did not request disassembly and reassembly, they did it free of charge, to take away any risk of our things breaking (and we didn't even purchase extra insurance or anything - they seemed to genuinely care that they didn't damage anything of ours).I can't remember if the three-man crew was under Nick or Mick (I think it was one of the two), but they were ridiculously good.  I wish I could remember the name of the main guy on the crew who we were in contact with so that I could sing his and the other guys' individual praises as well.  But if this group is representative of the service you always get with Cheap Cheap Movers, I'd say they're the best moving company my fiancé or I have ever dealt with, hands down.

The movers did an awesome job in unloading our moving truck after our move from Wisconsin to Texas! We got last minute notice of the moving truck being delivered early & They arrived within about an hour and a half of calling..on 4th of July no less! We really appreciate everything & will highly recommend your services to anyone!
