BUYER BEWARE:  Very bad experience with this company.  I was lied to several times during the sales process about price and about delivery date of my belongings.  I spent 30 minutes over the phone describing in detail all of my belongings (size and dimensions) so that the sales rep could give me an accurate estimate.  I was told that as long as my belongings fit reasonably close on the truck space allotted me in the estimate I would be fine.  After 90% of my things were loaded in the truck, the foreman informed me that my bill would be 35% higher than the estimate.  We haggled for 15 minutes on price but I had to end up paying the higher amount.My things were delivered a week late and when they unloaded things they did not put back together all of the things that they had disassembled (tables, bookshelves, etc.).  Several boxes were missing (still don't have them) and several things were damaged and broken.  Two items that were not mine were delivered with my things.  Very poorly run move.I tried filing complaints with the company and initially they were unwilling to reimburse me any money.  The customer servant reps would not let me speak to a manager or supervisor and said that the company was not in the wrong.  By luck, I was able to track down the cell phone of the branch manager.  He told me that he was sorry I was lied to and that the salesman that had worked with me had since been fired for a pattern of lying ---- BUT HE WAS UNWILLING TO REFUND ME MY MONEY!!!  He offered me $100 for my inconvenience and for completely botching my move.  I strongly recommend considering other moving companies or better yet....move it yourself if you can.  This is not a company you can trust during any part of the moving process.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE YOU.  I had the worst move experience with Jet Van Lines.  I hired them to move me from Milwaukee to NY in November 2013.  The moving van did not show up the day of my move and it took me 12 hours to figure out when they were finally coming.  They showed up at 6am the next day.  Jet Van Lines actually lost my $500 bicycle, table legs and ladder and they were not replaced.  They completely broke my night stand and dresser beyond repair.  They scratched my TV and dining table.  Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced.  They misquoted my initial estimate and made me pay $400 more when they picked up my goods.  I am a very detailed person, and they lowered my bid on purpose, so I would hire them.  Ron and Ben (Operations Managers) would never call me back on my damage dispute.  When I did speak to them, they lied to me several times about my lost items.  This company does not care about customer service, moving your items safely or their own integrity.  Please take note and do not hire this company to move you.

I spoke extensively about my inventory to the customer service representative. I added that it was a one bedroom apartment so the misc inventory (above large furniture) should be accounted for in boxes. He estimated the number of boxes based on the square footage and said he would note assorted sizes of boxes. After asking what it would take to get my business over the 12 other companies that were calling me, he added extra items (to ensure that we covered everything) but left the quote at the same price. The moving team showed up on the day of the move and before even saying hello immediately said, "This is way more stuff than is on the list." Okay, well, I went over everything with the representative so I'm not sure what is not "on this list". They moving team added things like, "You have an ironing board, that's not on the list." Really? Maybe it's because this was a long distance move instead of a local move but I had never been asked to inventory stuff like that before when requesting a quote. If you want to use them, I would suggest that you insist that they come out to your place to do the inventory or be prepared for some added cost.On a positive note, the actual moving team was great - both at the pickup and destination. Efficient and helpful.

jet van lines doesn't deserve any stars! do not use this company unless you want your valuables damaged, broken and destroyed. then put the blame on you for not packing boxes right. really? this isn't my first rodeo in moving and sorry i didn't go with u haul again. i had boxes that were crushed, scraped and actual puncture holes in them. they broke wood on several pieces of furniture, shattered a big horse painting, that i paid extra for for safe delivery. sheared the handle off my bar b q, put a huge stinky stain across the top and down the side of my fairly new expensive king mattress. when in the world was my wrapped mattress in the sewer? pretty bad when you have bubble wrapped plastic bowls that were snapped in half. the list goes on and on. i was never given an answer to any of my questions by jet van lines or csi. i wanted to know what in the world happened? did the truck crash or did they just throw my belongings around like pieces of trash?little did i know this would be a nightmare for me and they could have cared less. please do not use jet van lines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! kathy
