i originally began my move in July of 2011 in Austin TX.  i had to move home suddenly to Boston when my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer.  the movers that came to my apt in Austin were fantastic- polite, sweet guys who packed up my stuff carefully and efficiently.  over the course of the next 18 months i dealt almost exclusively with Mary Powell, an office administrator who could not be nicer or more gracious regarding my storage fees. MULTIPLE TIMES the billing department 'forgot' to bill me or lost my account and i ended up with $500-$900 in back fees.  Mary allowed me to split payment over 2 months to avoid paying a huge lump sum all at once.then i finally decided to move my things to Boston.  my move in date was Dec 15th.  today is Dec 26th and they finally completed my move.  Mary Powell sent me a final bill for $1185, then RON THE BIGGEST JERK EVER kept calling me telling me i owed him over $1700- 3 days before Christmas.  i was in tears multiple times on the phone, trying to tell them that i had a final bill already, and that you simply cannot tell someone they owe you $600 more dollars 3 days before Christmas.  then today, they swindled me into a 'shuttle van' to transport my things from the big truck onto my side street.  then another additional $65 fee because i had 12 steps instead of 10.  God bless Mary Powell because Ron hung up on me multiple times.  talk about customer service.  after 3 or 4 times of this i refused to speak with him anymore.  i finally have my furniture- 11 days after my first available date (which puts them in breach of contract) and i'm positive i'll continue to receive bills from them for some other miscellaneous fees.  save yourself the headache and DO NOT use this company.  i hope Mary Powell gets a huge raise or a better job offer from another company because she is the best.

ABSOLUTE WORST MOVING COMPANY! DO NOT HIRE THEM! I have never ever dealt with this level of incompetence from a company that claims to be a "reliable" moving service. As any respectable company knows, your first job is to please your customers. However, this company must have missed the memo since every interaction I have had with this company has been infuriating. Just read the comments they have posted in response to customer yelp reviews. "Please in the future remember to have patience as this was a job you didn't physically want to do and had the luxury of paying someone else to do." This is an extremely unprofessional response to a legitimate customer complaint that belittles the customer instead of offering a solution. I can't wait to read the response I will receive for this review. I imagine it will be dripping with the amount of disgust this company must have for its customers.If I could, I would give this company zero stars. They don't deserve any stars at all, which would be representative of how much quality service they have provided their customers. ZERO.And don't pretend your BBB rating is an A+. It's a B. bbb.org/south-east-flori…. Appreciate that average rating while you still have it because I can assure you it will be MUCH lower in the very near future.

Overall great experience. Movers were late picking up my stuff, but they did call to communicate and were very efficient and courteous. Would definitely use services again.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST MOVING SERVICE I HAVE EVER USED. DO NOT USE. Not only was my estimate way below actual costs; my stuff arrived well after the quoted arrival date. And as you can see from their responses to previous reviews, they hide behind fine print in their contracts to allow for all these grievances and deceive their customers. Despite being assured that my stuff would arrive within a specific time period, Jet Van Lines continuously pushed back the arrival date and repeatedly cited their right to ship items within THIRTY DAYS OF FIRST AVAILABLE DELIVERY DAY. Jet Van Lines? More like JET VAN LIES! They are the Amy's Baking Company of movers!

Pretty much the worst experience I've ever had. I had to relocate from California to Houston for my job. The original quote was $1100 on a 500 SF apartment. I paid $800 deposit and was expected to pay the $300+ on arrival.  Well of course once they got to my storage unit to pick up my things the price suddenly jumped an EXTRA $1,000 + and I had to pay it why...because they had my stuff! Oh yeah, I never heard from the guy  that helped me again. He never called me back or emailed me ever again once I paid the deposit. And when I called two weeks after the picked my things up in California to check the status...they hadn't even left yet! My stuff was sitting on a truck in Los Angeles.  Please save yourself the $$ and headache.
