I used Dr. Move once before and had a decent experience the first time. Recently, I used them to move as my job location was changing and I sold my home. The day of the move Dr. Move was a no call no show; even after calling to confirm my move two days before. I called and left 4 to 5 voice mails the day of the move when they did not show up and not once did they call me back. It's now been and week and they continue to ignore my calls, I was trying to get a refund of my deposit since they did not show up. Needless to say I had to go rent a u-Haul and do the move myself that night as the buyers to my home where moving in the next morning. I guess it's true...if you want something done right just do-it-yourself...or just don't count in Dr. Move.

I am a college student and I have to move at the end of each school year so I've used Dr. Move three times now. Each time I've been super impressed, they are professional and careful. Both times I've scheduled with Maria.  And each time Maria makes an offer thats affordable and perfect for me. Don't let the online quote scare you away, give them a call because it quoted me $300 and I ended up paying $120! The movers themselves are super nice and they take care of each piece they are moving. I feel very relaxed with them because I know they are going to try their hardest to get done quickly and protect my things. I'm so impressed with entire process. I know that I'll be calling them back at the end of this year too!!!

AWFUL.  SLOW.  ARROGANT.  RUDE.  LAZY.  Let's see:  What other adjectives can I use??This company has absolutely no respect for their customers. I was quoted $84/hour for a move that should have taken 3 1/2-4 hours max. I have a one bedroom one bath apartment, and was moving from North Dallas to Uptown. The driver conveniently didn't have a Tolltag. It took him almost an hour and a half to get to my new apartment by driving up Preston at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon.  It doesn't take a genius to figure out he could have taken Central. I ended up being charged well over $700, even though I signed off on a $441 bill at the end of my move. My card has yet be to credited, and I am disputing the charges with my bank. I provided the two "professional" movers with the ORIGINAL box for my flat screen TV. They couldn't figure out how to put it back in the box. After attempting to force it many many times into the box they decided to wheel it on a dolly. Needless to say, the base is now cracked and one of the speakers no longer works. They also scratched my dresser.  When I pointed it out to Cruz, the guy in charge of the move; he said I was lying and that the scratch was already there. I even pointed out on the wall where the paint from the dresser matches the scratch on the wall he made. When I asked for my jewelry box Cruz retorted "What am I? A thief?" I simply asked for it b/c I didn't want to leave it sitting in the trailer for anyone to steal. If I could have moved it on my own, I would have. They left my flat screen they destroyed sitting on the sidewalk unattended. I just happened to go outside and notice it, so I stood next to it until they moved it into my new apartment. These people are clueless. I should have just thrown a couple hundred dollars at my guy friends, bought them a round of shots and rented a U-Haul. The quality of work would have been much better and at least I would have gotten some respect. Maria and Claudia at their Headquarters are two Latinas you don't want to mess with. Everything is their way or the highway. I know enough Spanish to be full aware of the fact that the staff was talking about me .

I've used Dr. Move three times over the last 2 years and overall they are pretty decent. Each time they get me moved out/in very quickly. Pricing is competitive and since I've given them so much business they offer me awesome deals.

They were affordable but damaged some of my furniture.  I don't mean tiny scratches that are not really noticeable, though there are plenty of those, I mean splits/cracks in the wood framing of my couch and dresser, damage to the walls of the new apartment I moved I to.  My girlfriend also used them at the same time with similar results.  The claim the insure their work but they self insure.  So you can only file the claim via email (no # to talk to anyone).  It took three weeks to a month before we got something in the mail about our claim with a claim number, still no phone number.  We filled out the paper work explaining the damages in detail and submitted photos.   It's been months...MONTHS and no word.  When you call Dr. move offices they will not discuss it with you and just refer you back to the email.  So if you don't care about your stuff being damaged but at least you save a buck then go ahead they are a great bargain just remember when they start selling you on the fact that they insure their work that it's all crap.
