I can't believe I never wrote this review.  I am moving again and looking at movers, which made me think of Nicky's.  Set up was easy and the guys showed up on time.  However, they took forever to move my stuff.  In addition, they knocked the fire extinguisher off of my apartment hall wall.  It shot out all of it's contents, so the whole building was filled with white dust.  That set off the main fire alarm, which then rang for half the move.  All the tenants called and complained to the landlord, and I called the main office, who promised to have someone over to clean it up.  They half ass cleaned it up, and I told them I was going to be charged by my landlord for the damage and the extinguisher.  They said they would reimburse me.  Well, of course I lost my whole security deposit and they didn't pay me a dime.  They fought me on it because the sloppy movers were telling them that the extinguisher was hanging off of the wall, ready to fall off.  No, it was not.  I basically paid $1500 for a 1 bedroom move because I lost my whole deposit.  Never again!!!!!!

This is actually a place that should be reviewed twice.  First review would be about the set up and customer service (which I would give two stars).  Second review would be the actual movers (which I would give four to four and a half stars).  The gist of the customer service is that they are not as knowledgable on calls as you'd like.  Instead, they put you on hold constantly or don't answer the phone.  Their response to emails is non-existant, and their call back rate from message is at least 24 hours (if not significantly more).   When I had the actual movers come, they were fantastic.  Very fast and friendly and right on time.  Worked quickly and carefully and were agreeable.  They wrap and package nicely and come with a very large truck.I have also intended to use their storage facilities, but that didn't work out.  They use "crates" that are 5x7.  When I asked if my couch would fit (7 ft long) they told me no.  They did say they could store it, but that would be an additional $25 a month.  Since they were already charging $50+ per crate, they were very overpriced.   Be very wary of their storage sizes - large items will not fit!Overall, I would only use them for moving $103 per hour for three men is excellent in my experience.  They also give a 5% discount on cash payments, so that worked out nicely.  Travel time is the same price, so pay attention to how far they have to travel to you and to your new home (or in my case storage unit), but I would still use them again - only for the move of course.

Wow where do I begin. This is probably thee worst experience I've had with any business ever in my life. I should have read the other reviews before using this company as it would've saved me a ton of headache and hassle. I used Nicky's Moving & Storage for a client to clean out a property before a settlement and it was a nightmare. First red flag was the $200 extra charge for "roaches" they claimed to have seen. I asked for proof and they were unable to show me any at all. Thieves. Second the job was half assed. Thank GOD I put this on my AMEX and was able to dispute the charge. I felt that I was robbed and should not be paying for subpar service. My total came to $685! Nope not happening. Not on my dime. Needless to say the rude owner was pissed.. Oh well! They held the items in storage for my client and when she came to pick them up she was treated horribly by the owner who made her wait hours to pick up her items. She was extremely upset after the whole ordeal. Just bad. My clients father ended up footing the $685 bill for the joke of a job they did. Just a horrible experience all around. THE ONLY bright spot of the entire process was an employee by the name of Michelle who was very polite and helpful in ending this situation. She should be the one running the company. Please please please do not! I repeat DO NOT!  Use Nicky's Moving and Storage for anything. It's a complete shock that they are still in business.

Okay, so let me just save you the trouble, JUST SAY NO!  I gave these folks a try despite their awful 1 1/2 star Yelp review/rating?!?First the good.....They actually showed up on time.Now the rest.....Took them all day to load up my modest size house and move despite us being very organized and having already moved 90% of the boxes to our new house ourselves (the day before).The price was more than quoted....they work by the hour and charge you for a bunch of things like rolls of tape and furniture wrap that I'm quite sure is over statedBut here is the kicker!!!!  They broke my one and only $600 flat screen tv?!?  I couldn't believe it, but I didn't flip out, because I figured their insurance would cover it.  The guy (mover) starts to try and explain to me that they are only liable for .60 cents a lb?!?!  What kinda crap is that?!  You break a perfectly good flat screen TV and you want to give me $45 for that pleasure?!  So I called the manager and she assured me the company would take care of me.  As a matter of fact she promised to call me back and update me ((I'm STILL waiting on that telephone call!!!). Yes that's right after filling out their 'claim' form and waiting the 'customary' 7-14 days, they mailed me a check for $45 with a picture of a 'used' flat screen bottom that one of their folks had looked up on Google?!?!  Unbelievable.... Run folks, run from this shady, unscrupulous moving company (don't walk)!!!!  Never again.

THE WORST MOVING COMPANY OF ALL TIME!!!!! Broke my $500 dresser, didn't even apologize on site! Still waiting on the insurance paperwork to come through, in which I was told I would only get .60 cents per pound. What if they broke a 5,000 dollar plate? I would get $1.20 for it?!? It's ridiculous!!! A grown man, in 1 hour used the bathroom TWICE- can you say dragging your feet?! Unforeseen costs- for tape?!? That should be included! Unprofessional- answering personal phone calls! To top everything off they accidentally drove away with my bed frame- and I had to wait 10 hours to get it back! RUN AWAY!!!
