Do everything you possibly can to stay away from Walla! I had the absolute WORST experience with this moving company. It was a total nightmare and I wish I would have saved myself the hassle and bought all new furniture. I moved from NY to San Francisco and I was told the day the furniture gets picked up, it will get put on the truck to go out with the next shipment out to california and it would take 14-21 days to arrive. Steve assured me after I called 2 weeks later and havent heard a peep from them, that my stuff has gone out and will be arriving soon. After living without my things another two weeks, I thought it was weird I hadn't heard anything still, so I call and speak with the dispatcher. My belongings hadn't even left the warehouse yet! Steve had no only lied, but in the beginning, also lied about the days they drove, what times they left and how long it would take. The dispatcher told me it was on the truck ready to go to california the following day and it was coming straight to SF and i'd see it in 14-21 days. Well, they lied again. I get a call from the driver that he can not make that time frame because he had a delivery in CHICAGO and since he had to make a stop, the truck gas tank was frozen and he couldnt leave since the weather was so bad. Finally after waiting another three days, the driver told me it was actually 14-21 BUSINESS days. Almost two months later, I received my furniture and belongings and they told me I needed to pay an additional $300 because the truck couldnt make it down the street. Since I live off of a main road in SF, I knew they were lying and i fought it and sure enough, they were able to deliver it just fine. In addition, they made me pay $75 because the unloading part of the truck was 50 ft away from the front door. At that point, I didn';t care and just wanted my stuff.  They broke and bent a few items as well, which I put in a claim for.They are beyond a bad experience. Absolutely horrible!!

You have heard of sociopaths but are there sociopathic companies?  Yes, and this is one of them. Not only is this company set up to commit fraud and take your money, the sociopathic owner goes much further by insuring that you are dealing with a pathological lying sociopath on every level of your move. Behind that veneer of smooth-talking glib and superficial charm, the  pathological lying, conning and manipulations set in. You have to trust whom you hire to the job at hand and once you sign on with this monsters- you are doomed. These people "get off" on the con and ripping you off. They are proving that they are smarter than you, in control, in charge and there is nothing you can do about it. It is both a challenge (to pick your pocket and screw with you) and a game to them. To them, it is stimulating to con you and keeps them from being bored. Of  course when the con is completed and you start to complain and freak out there is the  utter lack of remorse and guilt and  a callousness and lack of empathy that will astound and frustrate you as they give you the run around and outright lie. Don't forget- this is a game to them and they are laughing behind your back and - all the way to the bank. There is a special place in Hell for devious clowns like this who prey on the innocent- so you will need to sit back and wait for their fate to finally overwhelm them.

had overall a terrible experience. they forgot to reserve our date of pick up, so i was left waiting for movers for over twelve hours, going into 1am on a sunday night. the movers themselves were very nice, especially after having worked a double shift and were still expected to clock in the next day at 6am. they talked about having to sleep in the truck, which seems inhumane to me. a gross way to treat your employees.the cost of the move was almost a thousand dollars over their original estimate. what's more, they kept saying that, after our stuff was picked up, that it would be "today or tomorrow" that it would hit the road, regardless of what day we called. if we checked monday, it would go out "today or tomorrow." tuesday, "today or tomorrow." wednesday, "today or tomorrow." no one would give us a straight answer and by the end, i just never believed anything anyone from walla told me. as time progressed, our delivery date kept getting later and later for no apparent reason, leaving me without any furniture (including my bed) for many days at my new place.throughout this whole process, no one from walla EVER called us. we always had to call them. unprofessional, untrustworthy, sketchy. at the end of it all, i was left just praying my stuff arrived and then i would never have to communicate with them again.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a company in my life. They promised a date and didn't deliver until over a week later.  They finally showed and gave me all my things.  The only difference between when I gave them to Walla and I received them back was that they were broken or missing.  The price was almost double what I was quoted.  So basically to sum it up.  I have been completed robbed.  I would have lost less money if I threw all of my belongings in the garbage.  So to the next customer,  when they show up at your house and come up with some ridiculous reason why your cost is going to be double and they no longer can deliver by the date they originally told you, make sure you tell them to go home.  Take the loss on the deposit that they make you give them ahead of time.  Just throw your stuff in the garbage.  I guarantee you it will save you money.  These people should be in jail.

Have read all the reviews of Walla and I'm a bit perplexed. It doesn't make sense. I just moved all my stuff from point A to point B and I had no problems whatsoever. They gave me a price beforehand and after the move I paid what they estimated the move would be. It was a bit higher than I had originally anticipated but it was still cheaper than any of the other big moving companies.  I look at these reviews and I wonder what a bunch of cheap morons are writing these reviews. Newsflash: MOVING IS NOT CHEAP. The guys here were very professional and were a bit late but that's because the moving business is known for always being tardy. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat.
