My family just used Rainbow Movers for the first time for a move within Brooklyn, and we were extremely pleased with the experience.  We used their packing service, as we have a 1 year old, and were overwhelmed with attempting to pack while taking care of her.  Everyone we interacted with was friendly and professional and inspired trust, our stuff made it into the new apartment without any damage, and the process was efficient and easy for us.  We had shopped around a bit and found their price very competitive.  We would definitely use them again.

I have moved a bunch of times in my life, but I have never seen guys as good as these guys. The guy who also drove the truck, Rob, was amazing. I had some valuable and big pieces that I was really worried about. They somehow got them around corners that I never thought they would, and without damaging anything. They may not have been the absolute cheapest, but I felt as if I wasn't paying them enough when everything was said and done. ( I tried to make up for it by tipping them generously.) There is no substitute for using guys with the kind of experience these men obviously had. They managed the streets in my new place in Manhattan like threading a needle. And got it all done before the building's cut-off. Not a nick, or crack or scratch on anything! And well mannered, too!I just can't say enough good things about these guys. I'm going to tell my friends that if ever need to move, CALL THEM FIRST!

My friend recommended these guys to me when I moved out of a duplex to an elevator building about a mile away. Kwame came over for an estimate, and even though it was pricey, I thought he was very honest, particularly when I asked for estimates with and without packing. I ended up packing myself, and further knocked down the cost by paying in cash (I think it was 10% off). I was very organized though - everything was marked and packed, so there was very little they had to do once they arrived. The guys were on time, courteous, and very careful with moving my stuff out while navigating one set of stairs and one narrow spiral staircase. They also were careful not to disturb my roommate's stuff in the process. They're also expert drivers - they backed into a narrow one-way street from Queens Blvd in their giant truck! And fit perfectly into a space that miraculously opened in front of the apartment building. They ended up finishing everything much faster than estimated, so the cost was actually several hundred dollars less than the estimate. I tried to tip generously to show how much I appreciated their work. I'll gladly use them again if I have to move again, and will recommend them to everyone!

We moved in July.  I wanted so much to like this company, because when the owner came to give me the quote, he was the nicest guy.  Maybe we got a terrible crew, but the worst movers ever. When they came in on the morning of our move, the foreman instantly told us that they couldn't park on our street because it was too narrow for the truck (standard brooklyn side street), so it was going to cost extra to bring it to the corner and he also told us how much we were going to have to tip them.  To be fair, there was a small amount of stuff that we hadn't packed yet (had intended to do it while they were loading stuff) but he freaked out and told me they had to do it.  They broke a drawer and a window in our hallway.  My husband's favorite swiss army tool that he had been using that day went missing.  the price ended up being nearly twice the quote. And here is the kicker, they said they were done and we had to make FOUR trips with a borrowed SUV that night to move all the stuff they had left behind.  Hand to heart, worst moving experience ever.  I do suspect it was a terrible crew because the foreman was a huge jerk, so maybe another crew would be a different experience, but I wouldn't risk it.

These guys were absolutely the best. Gave me an estimate by email, then stopped by to look at the furniture I needed moved, and lowered their estimate. Showed up. Fast. Insured and really nice people.
