It's utterly amazing that this place is still in business after reading the other reviews.  We have to tell our story as well because it could help you.  It pains us to revisit this but hopefully you won't make the same mistake. We wanted to put some of our belongings in storage to make the house look bigger, and easier to sell.  Their estimator came out and seemed ok.  Two things that stand out from her visit:  (1) She asked to buy one of our tables and chairs; (2) she strongly urged us not to take the supplemental insurance.  "We're top pros" she said.  We would be wasting our money.Their 2-man crew consisted of a short, stocky guy with muscles on muscles.  His assistant was a tall, lanky kid who was apparently unfamiliar with how to buy soap or turn on a shower.  While he might be a stranger to personal hygiene, he was clearly well connected with street-level pharmacology.  The first words out of his mouth - "Hey, yo wanna sell any of yo shit?" - should have been a warning.  This but your furniture thing seems to be a major aspect of their culture.By the time the truck was loaded they dropped a large, heavy exquisite Sony TV.  Sorry, man.  Offer for remuneration:  Zero.  I could go on but I have to go on.  We did, however, insist that we never again see the assistant from hell.  There was a table/desk that they couldn't get through the doorway of the room in which it sat.  The next day my wife and I got it out (not easy but then we're not pros) and they picked it up a few days later.  The driver stared at it as if we were Harry Houdini's grandkids.Fast forward a few months; the house is sold, our stuff comes back.  Same crew!  The driver immediately informs us that "we have a problem."  Turns out that our best-ever piece of furniture, a large leather sectional sofa, was turned into a giant, neon blue Chia Pet.  The cheap blankets they had used to wrap it leeched into the Italian leather as a result of the way they stored it in their remarkably hot and humid warehouse.  Our $8000 investment was now a visual joke. It is interesting to note that during the load in process the driver all but whipped the assistant, complaining that he wasn't coming close to pulling his weight (which wasn't much).  He generally carried (very slowly) one, small, light item at a time.  He didn't offer to buy any of our stuff; or sell anything he might have to offer.  It must be VERY hard to find good help in the moving business on Cape Cod.The driver gave me a form to fill out and said the claim would be handled quickly and easily.  Not.  Weeks of calls to their office went unanswered.  The one person I needed to talk to was never in or on the phone or at lunch or... something.A few weeks later we got a letter in the mail along with a check.  For $240.  They paid us 60¢ a pound for an $8000 couch.  That was it.  No more returned calls. We won in small claims court; sort of.  The "judge" awarded us only slightly more than the original amount.  Seems he was a former trucker and sided with the home team. Please realize when you approach these people that they are without a doubt, in my opinion, the most amateurish, unprofessional, incompetent, laughable moving company anywhere.  We have moved many times with Mayflower.  Generally they are the Tiffany of moving companies.  This company may say they are a Mayflower franchise but you're nothing going to get "Mayflower."On the other hand I can heartily recommend BTI Mayflower up the road in Hanover.  They are everything that Mayflower is supposed to be; and this company is not. You've been informed.  If you hire this company you deserve what you get.

If I could give this business less then one star I would.  I spoke with one of their moving consultant "Ray" and I was given a quote to move 54 items from IL to GA.  I was told that their quote was binding and that it would not change unless I had more items to move which I did not.  The movers pulled up in a small Budget moving truck which I instantly know all my things were not going to fit.  Once they came inside and saw my items they was wanted to charge me an additionally $1200.  I immediately called the sale consultant who forwarded me to the business owner I think "Frank" who was asked did the movers give me a another estimate, I told him yes and I also told him I wanted a refund on my deposit.  He told me I was not entitled to my deposit because I was canceling within the seven days of the move.  I couldn't believe it, I hung on this guy and immediately filed a complaint with the better business bureau PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! If you looking for a  moving company the best way to go about it, is have someone come out and do a accurate inventory of your items first.  Then there's no discrepancy when it's time to get an accurate quote.

Chipped furniture, extra charges, $54 for 12 rolls of tape, extra $275 for additional "steps" but if you give the loaders a nice tip they will make that charge go away. Nightmare. Over $3000 for less than 875 cubic feet for a 900 mile trip. Delivery on other end was delayed by one day which was fine, driver communicated really well and was nice. Two guys to unload, 18 wheeler on a tight street, first box in the door resulted in a long scratch across hardwood floor. All furniture unloaded on first floor to avoid additional "step" charges (long carry) so we moved everything upstairs ourselves. Corner of dresser broken off, sofa table chipped in corner, new headboard chipped in both corners, shelves broken, dishes smashed, and quite a few items missing  including a desk (legs arrived though) a expensive picture and piece of metal wall art and a new drill. Almost every box was broken open at the seam and a few had been quite obviously opened.I would sooner carry the stuff on my back and walk through the Sahara desert with no water than to ever use this company again.

These guys are scammers along with their partnering company American Choice Van-lines. We were relocating from California to Florida with 2 kids. We found Uber Movers on a government website in the top ten list. So we did our research on Uber Movers and gave them a call. Next thing you know Pierre answers and after we agree on a price, he tells us we have to pay a deposit so we go to the website and it says Plymouth Rock Van-lines. So I asked him about it and after reassuring me and me verifying the phone numbers are the same, I agreed to pay the deposit (but this was my first red flag). Then American Choice Van-lines show up to pick up our furniture. Hmmmm (2nd red flag). The movers said they had extra room on the truck and do we have more to load, so we give them a few more extra things. Then when they're done loading, low & behold, they tell us we're over our estimated cubic feet. WHAT!!?!??Plymouth Rock gave us an binding estimate over the phone for $4200 which we agreed to and that was after us telling them that we had a tight budget and didn't have any more money.  Then American Choice cleverly had us sign a blank new estimate that was attached to the first estimate. And now American Choice filled in the new estimate with a new price of $6700 and are threatening that we have to pay in full or else they won't deliver our furniture!! This cant be happening!!  They totally scammed us! We try calling and get nothing but the run around. The stupid idiots that answer the phones wont transfer us to a supervisor or tell us who to contact. On top of all that, they promised to deliver by 2 weeks and now its been 3. We have had to buy air mattresses for me & my kids to sleep on, I had to purchase dishes to eat on and clothes/shoes to wear to work amongst several other things. They're complete scammers and are all in on it. They don't call you to tell you anything about your delivery status and its hard to get any answers from anyone. DO NOT USE AMERICAN CHOICE VANLINES OR PLYMOUTH ROCK VANLINES EVER!!  THEY WILL ROB YOU BLIND & NOT CARE!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Where do I begin?First, I will start with how this all went down. I got a call from Plymouth Van Lines offering their services after a few online searches for moving companies. I told Piere, my sales consultant, my story. I was not fully aware of everything in my storage unit, as per number of items, because my house was packed for me. My husband committed suicide in my old home and I could not return home after his death so I had my house packed for me. I TOLD PIERE ALL THIS! I told Piere that my unit was the size of a one car garage filled to the top. I even gave him the dimensions of my storage unit. He asked what items I could recall I had and I named the big stuff that I knew. So he quoted for $2160. He told me pick up would be January 7th. After a few different calls and quotes I went with them since they were somewhat in the middle regarding price. So I didn't pick the lowest bid because I didn't want anything ruined. I had so much stuff in my unit that had a lot of sentimental value to me.Pick up was HORRIBLE. They were 6 hours late. My sister was supposed to meet them at my storage unit in Chicago at the time of pick up but they were late. They then ARRANGED IT WITH MY SISTER, NOT ME, to pick up my STORAGE KEY and move my unit at 9pm!!! They had my sister sign papers and went to my storage unit without anyone present and loaded the truck. Later that evening, I get a picture from the driver in a text message with a bill of $6116.50. My original quote was only for 580 square feet @ $3.50 per square foot. Then they charged me an additional 720 square feet @ $5.25 per square foot. Plus some "packing costs," which is ridiculous because my whole unit was PACKED! After receiving that via text message I begged the driver not to leave with my stuff! I didn't agree to those terms and did not sign off on that. I said I could not afford it. Return my stuff now!!! He told me to call customer service the next day. Didn't return my stuff. I couldn't believe I was so under bid! Piere went by number of ITEMS. Then they plug it into a computer and tell the square footage! What the heck? If I gave the dimensions of 15x10x10... He could figure out the square footage himself right???  Needless to say I didn't sleep that night.I called customer service bright and early. I got the run around from person to person all day long. One women told me I could get my stuff unless I paid in full. I said "Heck no I didn't sign anything agreeing to those terms or any price change. NO ONE WAS THERE TO SUPERVISE THEM!!!!" I called Piere CRYING saying he under quote me. He said I went by the ITEMS you told me. I said "I told you the dimensions of my storage unit and said it was full." He said "I don't recall you saying that" and then he got really snappy with me! I called pretty much everyone I could. I got so many run arounds, different prices to drop it all back off, them saying they would only deliver the original 580 square feet then I could pay the rest when I could and they would put it in storage. It was crazy. Finally, after I threatened with a lawyer, they returned some of my stuff to the storage unit and brought ONLY the 580 square feet to New Hampshire. WHICH WASN'T EVEN MY FULL INVENTORY LIST!!!!!  Their computer calculations are a SCAM!!! I got NOTHING!!!! I got my couches. Missing cushions! I got TWO OUT OF FOUR chairs to my kitchen table and NO KITCHEN TABLE! I got my 51" Samsung TV WHICH IS BROKEN NOW BECAUSE THEY HIT IT MOVING IT! I didn't get my daughters bed. I got my bed with NO BOX SPRINGS!!!! I am MISSING A CHAIR TO MY PATIO SET!!! I had 40 medium boxes listed on my inventory list and I got 30!!!! DISHES BROKEN!!! AND THEY WERE ALL WRAPPED!!! ALL THESE THINGS WERE LISTED ON MY LIST!!! I told them to return everything else so I could at least get my big items that was listed on my list and I didn't even get that. This company is a scam!!!! They made a HARD situation for me even more difficult. I have been diagnosed with severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after my husband's death. PLYMOUTH VAN LINES TRAMATIZED ME EVEN MORE!!!!! I can't stress enough how awful this company is. I have texts and phone calls between many individuals in this company and proof of everything. I fully intend to contact a lawyer. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!! After paying for my husband's services and not getting life insurance because of the Suicide, I can NOT believe how horribly I was racked over by this company. The driver IVAN, who ruined all my stuff and had no remorse, I don't know how you sleep at night. This company makes me SICK!!!!!!!! HOW ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS?!?!
