Worker damaged the entry door frame but did not tell us. we found the issue when we went back to the old house later and the mover refused our repair request.You can see more than 100 good reviews in movinghelp.com for this mover, but i did not find how to add my review on that web.

After just reading Ron B.'s review from 6-30-14, my debacle makes more sense.  I had Verlys 'reserved' to unload our 20-foot UHaul at 11am on June 30, 2014.  They simply never showed.  They never called.  I left four voice mails and got nothing.  My fiancée and I were moving into a 3rd floor walk up condo.  We simply could NOT do this!   And apparently neither did Verlys.  I felt extremely lucky I found another company (who I will praise here separately!) who sent two awesome guys the NEXT morning at 8am.    Please be warned, stay away from Verlys Pro Moving!

And as you can see from the owner's actual response to my first review, they call "doing a job" showing up a day late and leaving us to do half the job. We spent until 2 am loading our own truck because we had to be out of our apartment and the movers never showed up when we had scheduled them from 4 to 8 pm. Um, WE did half the job and your unloading of it the day after was the other half of the full job! When we contacted the owners to complain they initially agreed with us saying it was their fault and would pay us back half the fees. Well, they never kept that promise!! Then they stopped returning our calls and texts all together. It's so nice to know they knew they were in the wrong and yet failed to act in the right. It is obvious they consider doing their job basically ROBBING their clients and then hiding behind some phony and misconstrued clause in Uhaul's contract. I agree that if they had showed up on time and gotten the 4 hour job done in an hour that would have fit the definition of getting the job done ahead of time; however, that is clearly not the case. READERS BEWARE: THESE GUYS ARE NOT A BUSINESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH PLAIN and SIMPLE! The owner's own words in response to this review are verbal confirmation of that fact!

I hired Verlys Pro Moving Labor to load and unload my U-Haul moving truck I rented for June 30th. I pre-paid Verlys Pro Moving Labor $200 via the website movinghelp.com. I scheduled 1pm on June 30th for them to come load my truck. On June 29th at 10pm I received a voicemail from them saying that their computers went down and they needed to re-verify the time of the move. I called back first thing in the morning at 8am, no answer, I left a message. At 9:30am I still hadn't heard back so I called again and left another message. I waited until 11am and still had no call back. Finally at 11:30am I called a third time and they answered, they verified that the movers would be at my home at 1pm. at 12:40pm I got a call from them saying the movers were running behind from a morning move and they would be at my house in 2 hours at 3pm. Then at 2:30pm they called me and said that one of their movers quit and they had no one else to move me. I asked what I was supposed to do about my truck rental and they said it wasn't their problem. I said that it is their problem because I paid for the truck rental, gas, mileage and my time I took off work for the day. They refused to do anything and gave me the manager's phone number. I called him right away and it went to voicemail, I left a message and waited for 30 minutes and no call back. I called the first lady (Christie) again who called me earlier and she wasn't answering either. I then tried to keep calling both numbers 20 more times throughout the rest of the day and evening and not once did anyone pick up. I left voicemails each time asking them to return my calls and I never got a call back. Clearly they were avoiding my calls because later on the phone didn't ring when I called, it went straight to voicemail which means they turned off their phones.

This was by far my worst moving experience thanks to Verlys Pro Movers.  Two guys showed up in the morning and within the first minute began complaining about having to help me move.  The complaining continued all through the job and I and my daughter ended up moving more boxes than the two guys.  They were horribly out of shape and were not able to keep up with our 3 flights of stairs.  They took way longer than they should have, they dropped a couple of our items that broke, they damaged some of our furniture and the last straw was getting to the U-Haul place where we had to unload the truck and hearing another round of complaints. I fired them at that point and told them I would rent the truck for another day and hire new movers to unload the truck because I couldn't stand another word of whining.  I then called the manager of the company and left a message about how terrible the experience had been and I asked him to call me so I could tell him about it. He never called me.  There was not one positive aspect of my dealing with this company.
