Based on previous reviews, we decided to use this moving service. We HIGHLY recommend them! First, I phoned them to get a basic overview of the services offered. One of the owners patiently explained to me the process and the basic fees.Next, the other owner came to our home and walked through it with me. Based on what we had, he emailed me an estimate. After doing further research with other movers, my husband and I decided these were the people to hire.I am SO happy we did!! The 4 men showed up right on time. They looked at what we had and went right to work. It took them 2 hrs to pack our 3 BR house into their truck.(Mind you, we took apart the bed frames & dining and kitchen tables & had staged the garage w/ 80 boxes & tubs). After a 45 min drive to new home, it took them 2 1/4 hr to offload everything. We opted to do reaasembling ourselves. We also chose to unWrap our furniture as well. They were professional, strong, & efficient.Worth every penny!!!! Ps. Have some light snacks & Gatorade handy-- they appreciate it.~Vicki S.

I moved on 7/28/2017 from Schaumburg to Westmont. The 2 movers (I believe it was Mike and Sergi), showed up promptly at 8:30 AM and got to work immediately.  I had more stuff to move than had been estimated, so it took most of the day (they said if they knew how much I had they would have gotten the next size truck and an additional helper.)  The movers were very polite, helpful and patient throughout.  I had no breakage, no damages, and when I got the final bill at the end of the day, there were no additional fees (some other places quoted extra for wrap, blankets, tape, mileage, the clock started from when they left their office, etc.); all was exactly as had been disclosed. I was told that using a credit card cost extra, but I could pay with cash or a check; I had my checkbook with me. My deposit of $50 was deducted and the hours worked out just as I had calculated them. I did a lot of research and read reviews of multiple companies and got several quotes.  Ampol was one of the very few I found that had consistently good reviews and thier price was one of the best.  I would definitely recommend them and would gladly use them again.

Ampol movers were super easy to deal with.  They gave me a quote over the phone and confirmed with me the day before my move.  The two movers showed up early and got started right away wrapping everything in stretch wrap.  They worked around the schedule of my condo's elevators with no problem, and were done a lot faster than I thought they'd be.When we arrived at our destination, I saw that everything on the truck was also covered with moving mats and secured to the sides of the truck.  Nothing was even scratched let alone damaged.  And the price came in under the original estimate.  I will definitely use Ampol movers again on my next move, once my new home is ready.

I had a great experience with Ampol Moving. They arrived on time, didn't damage a single item, and made the horrendous experience of moving as pleasant as it possibly could be. The reason for the missing star: The actual price ended up much higher than the estimate. (By $400!) Now, I do know that my move was extra annoying (two stops-- one at a storage space and one at the new apartment), and there were elevators to wait for, but I mentioned all that when I shopped around for estimates, so it should have been factored in. I also had to pay 2.5% more to use a credit card, which I wasn't expecting. Still, I would consider using them again. The peace of mind of knowing that my stuff will be well cared for is worth the extra cost.

This is the second review that I am posting, because this is the second time I have used AMPOL and I would still ABSOLUTELY recommend them to anyone who needs a moving company. Yet again they met every expectation that I could have had! Anyone who understands how hard it is to move, and how much time and effort goes into the entire process from start to finish, would immediately understand how incredible it was to have our entire house packed up, relocated and then unloaded into our new home within a day! It is like you are hiring a genie to make the miraculous happen! I hope that I don't have to move again for a very long time, but if I do have anything that needs a mover, you had better bet that I will be contacting them!! To all who are with AMPOL and made it happen, thank you again for EVERYTHING!!!!!!
