2 Guys and a Van

I booked 2 Guys and a Van to move my furniture to my new apartment. I didn't have much, since I was able to take over a lot of the stuff myself, but I needed help with the larger pieces. They sent over 3 people, and I was quoted for 2 hours, and they finished in an hour and a half, so the quote was spot on. I love that they take an accurate inventory to make sure that you have a fairly good idea of just how long it's going to take (and therefore how much it's going to cost). They even finished within my quoted time with taking apart the couch to get it to fit through the stairwell and then reassembling it. They were super friendly as they moved stuff and were careful with our furniture items. I was impressed by how efficient they were. Their driving skills were also impressive. I was moving from a place on a narrow dead-end street, but they assessed the situation and recommended that they park in the alley; also, the entrance to our driveway for our drop-off point was narrow, but they made it through without incident. I would definitely choose them again if I needed to.

After going through the list of moving companies in Chicago and getting quotes at all of them, I chose 2 Guys and a Van. They weren't the lowest, but sometimes you don't want to pay $100 for an entire move because they will be unprofessional and unresponsive. At 2 Guys and a Van, they were perfectly fair and reasonable. They showed up exactly on time, even giving me a phone call when they were about 45 minutes away to give me a quick heads up, they were very responsive, quick, hard-working, and professional.They took perfect care of your things, even wrapping them more than I would have wrapped them on my own. Plus, the guys were very friendly. It was almost as if they were moving their own stuff.Rob and his crew were wonderful. The quote was dead on in both price and time. I will happily use them again.

Thanks baby jesus for 2 Guys and a Van! Found them on Yelp after looking at like 5 different options and as usual the reviews came through. Everyone was lovely. From the gal I emailed with (even when I switched my move date 2x because my building was being a jerkbutt) to the guys that showed up at my apartment, the customer service was above and beyond. Also, the guys moved so fast! The quote was about $200 more than I paid, so I overtipped my movers because they were speed demons BUT they didn't damage anything. They were overly cautious and wrapped things that probably didn't need to be wrapped but who cares? Safety first! Just hire them. You're welcome.

The guys that came to my house were professional alright...at stalling. They were inefficient, took multiple water/bathroom breaks, talked on their cell phones like they were at a friend's house and nicked up the walls in my townhouse. In total, I believe they stalled and added an extra hour to the move. On top of that, they brought a truck that was too small to fit all my furniture claiming that the quote that my wife completed online didn't account for a 6 piece couch set. C'mon man, you think we would forget the largest piece of furniture that we own in the estimate? The highlight was having to sign a waiver for my daughter's plastic toy kitchen since the van was running out of space and they were afraid of damaging it. Overall, while they may be the cheapest option compared to others, you end up worse off since they are so inefficient.

This was such a stress free move - the team called before arriving and was on time. The guys were strong and fast! The got the job done within the quoted time and jenga'd my stuff into a storage space. Very impressed. Also, they were polite and friendly. I'll need to have my stuff moved out of storage in a few weeks and would definitely hire them again. Thanks!
