You Move Me San Jose

I need to give You Move Me props for a great moving experience. I booked my move online, and the website was able to generate an instant quote which they honored very closely (quoted $577, but cost came to $650 probably due to longer move-time and/or traffic). They said they'd arrive between 10 AM - 12 PM as I requested, and they arrived at 10 AM sharp! I inspected the truck while the movers were in my apartment --it's a shiny new truck with super clean interiors.Loading was quick. My boxes, bed, desk, and shelves were all moved out of Santa Clara and into San Francisco in 2 hrs 45 minutes (including 1 hr of drive time). That's pretty fast!They also wrapped all my stuff with protector cloth, and I saw zero furniture damage or property damage.  Also, Frank (the owner) called me a few days before the move to review the quote and upcoming charges, and he was upfront about the materials fee they charge to wrap my furniture (very reasonable, ~$35). Frank also called me during the latter part of the move to make sure everything was going well. That's great customer service. I've done a lot of business with a lot of companies big and small, and you can quickly tell which businesses suck and which businesses will succeed. I think Frank's running a great shop here, and I highly recommend them. It's not the cheapest move in town, but the move goes smoothly and quickly.

You move me is the most professional moving service I have ever used.  They are careful with handling all of my stuff, wrapped everything appropriately, nothing was left damaged.  They disassemble and reassemble perfectly as well.  They remind me of the corporate movers that my company uses and that's a good thing because it is done right. I also want to personally thank Reggie and Ryan for their great work.  Reggie helped me move twice in one year and he's the utmost professional and does everything right.  He also comes up with some really creative ideas on how to move tricky items into irregular spaces. I love you move me because there is no hassle and haggling, no upcharging and shady business.  They are upfront with their pricing and offer a fair price compared to other vendors.  You pay just slightly more but you get a much better experience.  I'll be moving with them every time in the future.  They also left me a nice plant as a housewarming gift.

I used you move me south bay last August for my local move. I had a PODS container to store most of my furniture and stuff for the move and the rest of the everyday stuff was to be moved to my new house.With regards to the stuff that got moved in their truck to the nee house, they did fine except for 1 IKEA sofa bed that took them 2 hours or so to disassemble it and then another 2-3 hours to put it back together at the new location. Mind you that I am aware that putting IKEA furniture together is not straightforward usually, i used a different moving company in the past and i had that same couch and 2 guys managed to disassemble it in 10 minutes and out it back together in 15 minutes! Not only did it take 6 of them to try to put it back together, they also did it wrong and the section of the sofa bed that slides open and close is now broken and not usable!Now, for the worst part of the experience, the furniture that they loaded for us in the PODS container stayed there for few months so i only got to see it when we unloaded the container recently. The dining table was NOT wrapped at all!!! They managed to wrap the chairs but not the table for some reason!! And they had it leaning on one side so one corner of the wood table is now damaged!! I do not understand how they can leave a wood table like that unprotected given that they knew we are storing it for few months!I picked this company based on all the positive reviews here on Yelp but i am very disappointed in them. I have used other moving companies in the bay area that did a much better job.

We were introduced to You Move Me by our Staging Company (Feather your Nest).  They were available on very short notice for the staging project and were extremely professional and personable.  The team moved quickly and were able to dis-assemble and carefully wrap, protect and store our heavy furniture.  They also took great care in carefully wrapping our china and I am proud to report there was not one casualty.  They worked with us in removing our staging and then also on a last minute request to move three truckloads of furniture from three different locations.  We were amazed!  They communicated arrival times and helped place (and re-place) items to ensure we were happy. The teams communicated and worked well together, and worked out a strategy to execute a complex move with many moving parts, while making us feel that we got a very good value.  We commend our team of heavy lifters:  Darnell, Shannon, Rich, Ulysses, JC and Manny.  Roosevelt, the Office Manager also personally came to our home the next day to follow up on an item that needed special attention.  Wow, we are truly moved and extend our most sincere thanks and gratitude to this hardworking team.  Thanks guys!  We couldn't have done it without you!

I would definitely NOT recommend this You Move Me company. Although the movers were good, the quote they gave me was WAAAAAAY off.....they quoted me $1,500 for my move (the move was 2 1/2 miles) BUT charged me $3,000. When I questioned why the amount was so high, they had no answers. After several phone calls made to them (they are not very good at returning calls when they promised me they'd get back to me every time) I was told by William that he is aware that the quotes given by the answering service are usually way off and how they have quite a bit of Yelp Reviews stating this. Well.....guess what?! That's not my fault! If the final charge would have been $200-$500 more than what I was quoted, that could be justified BUT to have to pay double is absolutely ridiculous!!  For this company to take advantage of their customers like they have is horrible. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and hope to get this resolved very soon.  I hope those of you who decide to use this company do not have to go thru what I currently am right now.
