One star because they showed up, that's all. I had my morning planned - get the key from the new place, go to the old place & take care of last minute stuff & transport my cats BEFORE the movers arrived. Jose called me AN HOUR AND A HALF before we scheduled and told me they were on they way so we got off to a bad start, they made my move extremely stressful right from the start because I didn't get to take care of what I'd planned. Three guys arrived instead of 4 as promised and Jose (the lead) insisted I sign a document that had something in it I didn't understand. When I told him I needed to talk to the office he told the movers in Spanish (luckily I am fluent) to STOP. Jose told me they'd leave unless I signed. When I spoke to him in Spanish he agreed to let me make the phone call. YELPERS BEWARE: ALWAYS GET A "NOT TO EXCEED" PRICE IN WRITING BEFORE YOUR MOVE!! It took longer than it should to get my belongings into the truck. When I went downstairs to check, the crew was taking a break even tho. they hadn't worked for very long. Much confusion when I got to my new place, it took 45 minutes until The One Move was able to get to where I was (not where they needed to be though, I had to walk with the truck to the location!!). This place I moved into insists on all movers using the freight elevator, which is at the farthest location from my apt. The crew was bitching in Spanish about the long trek!! Jose and his crew started the move but soon disappeared, same as at my starting point. They'd work a little, take a break, on and on so my move took two and a half hours longer than it should have. My cats were stressed and my stress level was over the roof! When it was FINALLY done I did tip the guys because they moved most of my things. I was very unhappy that my friends had to carry loose objects like my shower bench, litter box furniture, cooler, etc that should have been included by the crew. The only positive I have to say is that Jose took apart my recumbent bike to get it out and then into the new place. My boxes were very carefully labelled but they crew didn't pay attention which made unpacking a lot more of a hassle than it should have been. I'm disabled and have limited energy so efficiency is crucial to me. The One Move is not efficient, tried to get more money than I'd agreed on and were slow to get more money (it was per hour). DO NOT USE THE ONE MOVE UNLESS YOU LIKE FRUSTRATION AND INCOMPETENCE. Circumstances are causing me to move again and there is no way I'd ever use The One Move again.

We decided to go with One move based on the great reviews on yelp even though they were one of the most expensive services around. It was the worst choice we could made. Whole thing was a nightmare. Not only they damaged our furniture and threw our quilts on the floor. They were also extremely rude. Before going with them please evaluate other companies. You may end up saving half the money and the rudeness.

These guys were fabulous. Really can't recommend them enough. How often does your move cost less than you expected? Never, right? These guys did that for me and they had such excellent service - from the gal working at the office - Tammy - to the three movers (Tal, Jaime and Miguel), it was absolutely fantastic and top-notch. They worked hard and delivered.I heartily recommend them and would happily use them again.
