As I've said before, the real measure of a company is how they handle things when it doesn't all go perfectly. No company is perfect, nor is any person. Gosh knows I'm sure not.When my motorcycle was included in the move from the Bay Area to San Diego, all was fine until the bike was unloaded. The fuel tank ended up with several scratches because the gentleman sitting on it happens to wear his keys in front of his pants, so when he leaned forward to help push the bike, the keys rubbed against the tank.Things happen, and this was clearly an honest mistake. As this was the first thing off the truck, it weighed on him all day. I know I would have felt awful had it been me.I reached a settlement with the claiming company, but they could tell I wasn't thrilled with it (pro tip: be sure to note any significant issue directly on the Bill of Lading), so they went back to One Move -- the company that ultimately would pay the settlement -- and worked together to resolve the issue so that I would be happy.They didn't have to do this; their job was done. And One Move management didn't have to agree; they already had an agreement, for less money. But they both did. They went out of their way to make things right, and for that I have to give both a lot of credit.Thus, the reason for docking the company one star has nothing to do with the motorcycle.  It's about how things were packed.  Oh, the fragile stuff (like dishes) was fine.  Everything arrived intact.I had no time to pack the house myself, but the team that did the work finished it all in one day, with time to spare.  It was only when I opened the boxes in San Diego that I discovered how they did this so quickly:  everything was just tossed into big boxes (typically wardrobe boxes).  It didn't matter what it was: hand tools, weights, batteries, bandages -- whatever.  One box (I neglected to take a photo of that one) had a toilet plunger, unwrapped, tossed in with whatever else had been stored underneath the sink. Unpacking was SO frustrating because of this.Otherwise, the company was fantastic.  Tammy (in the office) was outstanding in preparing for moving day. And when I stopped by the office to pick up some boxes, everyone was so nice.Everyone worked so hard.  There was a whole crew there to pack, and only two gentlemen to unpack.  (Those two also worked hard in loading the truck.)  Unpacking was hard: LOTS of book boxes, mostly destined for the second floor. But there was zero complaint from them, even in jest, and they didn't even take a break.  SUCH endurance....With all that said, here are my lessons learned:1. Moving a motorcycle is tricky. There are companies that specialize in just this. The standard insurance rate is $0.60 per pound, applied to the ENTIRE shipment. Being able to claim a maximum of $320+ on an $11,000 bike was not a bright move on my part. Everything has worked out fine -- and again, many thanks both to One Move and to the settlement company for their extra effort in this -- but there was some risk. (The risk in my case was mitigated by not needing to unload/reload the truck before its arrival in San Diego.)  So if you need to move a bike, you'll want to give special attention to your options and to the costs involved for each.2. If you can, do your own packing, at least for the everyday, non-fragile stuff around the house.3. These people work HARD!4. One Move management stands behind their work. And the settlement company works to make things right as well. Kudos to both!

Moving is always difficult but this one was especially hard because I didn't want to move.  Plus our new house is not ready so we will be homeless for a couple months.  Tammy from One Move helped us with moving and storing our stuff for last few months which made the day much easier.  Then Tal and his guys were absolutely wonderful. They were very careful with our stuff.  Took extra time to pack them.  Not cheap but great work.

One Move is great! Tammy in the office made sure we had an accurate quote. She is quick to respond to emails and the phone.The moving team was Nacho and 3 other guys. They were courteous and careful. Nacho made sure we knew  about existing damages to furniture and the walls. They didn't damage anything! We have a sleeper sofa and they got it safely into our new place, despite the tight fit in the entry way. They were also very careful about putting stuff down on the new laminate floor of our new house. Overall, highly recommended!

Michael, Javier, Nacho and Tony came and moved me from one apartment to another at the speed of light, with extreme professionalism, always very amicable and did an awesome job. I had asked for the "maid service" move - everything was placed at the right location. This has been my best move ever and I would highly recommend these guys!

I personally had a great experience with One Move moving deliver ! They moved me within the estimated range they had given me, extremely professional fast, and very very friendly and understanding people! Very thankful my friend recommended this place for me with my move because they went above and beyond and now I don't need to stress anymore! Would very much suggest this company to everyone who needs an extra hand moving! Very great experience!
