This is a review of their booking and customer service only: sadly, I didn't make it far enough through the process to comment on the moving service itself.I emailed One Big Man late Monday night and was pleased to receive a response from Wolf the next morning. I had described the details of our move--we only wanted help moving furniture. Wolf responded with a quote that included moving an entire home's worth of items. I responded to clarify, and Wolf's second email again indicated that he expected to move not just our furniture, but also 50-75 boxes worth of things. I sent another email to clarify again.I don't think my emails were being read carefully.On Tuesday, Wolf told me that a crew was available on the day we requested, but he gave no indication of how to book the crew. On Wednesday morning, I emailed to ask how to formalize the booking for our move, and was told that a crew was no longer available for that day. Since the team was available when I first emailed and is no longer available now, I think there's a good chance they were booked out to someone who made a request after me (possibly with more items to move?)--which if true is very bad customer service.I was going to give a 1 star review, but someone told me those should be reserved for people who kick your dog. I don't have a dog, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that one.

These guys are amazing!! Super professional, efficient, friendly, accommodating, and all around nice people!! It took just under 2 hours to move me out of my 1 bedroom apartment and into my new place including a stop off at a charity to donate some of my things.  The owner, Fred, was very helpful throughout the whole process, from booking, to moving day, and following up the day after.  This was my first ever move hiring movers, and I would say hands down this was money well spent, and I would definitely use One Big Man One Big Truck again for my next move!

We used these guys a few years ago for a move from SF to Oakland. They were really great, totally professional and efficient at a great price. This year we had 2 moves within Oakland, one to an apartment while we did renovations on a new place, then the move from the apartment to our condo. First off, calling to schedule was great, everyone I spoke to on the phone was very professional, friendly, and helpful. Then the packing and moves, all done perfectly - no damage, nothing broken, super fast. And all of that still at a reasonable price. Could not be happier! And a major shout out to Adrian, he was the main guy for both moves, really friendly and nice guy, always totally on top of the process. I'm a little embarrassed that I don't remember all the other guys' names, but they were all fantastic, totally knocked themselves out to get everything done quickly and smoothly. Additionally, the building we moved into is a tad uptight, lots of rules, lots of monitoring ... Adrian and team handled it all like the pros they are, they were professional and friendly to the building mgmt and followed all the rules. If you're looking for movers, hire these guys! You will NOT be disappointed. I don't plan on moving again for a long time, but when I do move again, I'm definitely calling One Big Man.

DISCLAIMER: I didn't use their moving services, this review is just for booking/phone customer service only.  That said, I really really appreciated the help and honesty Paul gave me when I asked for a quote and move.  He was genuinely helpful and immediately told me that his company wasn't the one to use with my situation, location and move, and recommended me a variety of other resources to try and answered all my questions even though I wasn't going to be business for the company.

These guys were great! I coordinated the move with Fred, who was very friendly and professional. He even gave a follow-up call to ask how the move went. I've used One Big Man for at least 3 moves, there's a reason I keep going back to them.The 4 man crew on-site was led by Steve. The guys were GREAT. They were very thorough and I felt like they kept moving at a good pace during the entire course of our 10 hour move. It was some very challenging work (many many stairs), but they had a good attitude about it. I don't plan on moving again for MANY years, but when I do, I'll be giving these guys a call! Thank you!
