As others have already mentioned, I would highly advise avoiding this company for your move. Chris Overby (sales) will call you to offer an incredible deal and will really try to sell it (the truck is already doing your route so it's a huge discount, it'll be faster than any other company, you won't be able to rent a U-Haul and do it for cheaper yourself, etc). My incredible deal was a 1 bed apartment from North Carolina to California for about $1400, estimated delivery time of about 1 week. What actually ended up happening, however, is I paid a total of about $2900 and the delivery happened in 5 weeks. In between there were lots of frustrating and unhelpful calls to Chris, dispatch, and drivers.My items did all arrive and were intact, hence the 2 stars. I believe this only happened because I did NOT waive liability insurance upon pickup, which the driver (Joy) was trying to have me sign for by saying I'm not eligible for it since I didn't tell them in advance. Ended up arguing it and having it added on the spot so that is likely the only reason my shipment arrived in stable condition.In conclusion, do your research and sign with a more reliable company.

On 8/2/17, I received a message from truck driver Rami that the truck would arrive to my address the next day 8/3/17. I called the driver "Rami" and asked him if we could schedule it for 8/4/17 (Friday) as I had discussed with Liran on instead as it would be my day off and convenient in other ways. Rami told me that would be up to his manager. He then proceeded to put his "manager" on the line, which introduced himself as Yair. I found out his name is Yair Knafo after completing a very thorough search on the company.Yair's initial statements were basically that he had problems with "you people" at pick up and didn't want any problems at delivery, and would I have the money in postal money order or cash. I found him highly offensive considering that I have paid his company over $1500 already to be spoken to in that manner. I told my husband about the encounter and he called Yair Knafo the morning of 8/3/17 to tell him to never speak to his wife in that manner again and Yair started yelling at my husband and making unintelligible sounds to stop my husband from talking. He told my husband that he should not let a woman take care of that kind of stuff and also told my husband they should meet face to face when my husband told him he stepping out of line and needed to stick to doing what his company is being paid for which is delivering our goods, not being rude to his wife.When they initially picked up my goods, they scheduled to be there between 3-5 PM and I let the dispatcher know that I would not be available until 2 PM. They showed up to my house at noon! My cousin was there to handle part of the process, but when I got home, they had already left but with only half of the home. They told my cousin that we had more items than quoted and would need to provide more money, which she did but they only took 1 of our beds for that extra money. They wrote down that they took my son;s crib on the inventory list, but I soon realize that they left half of the crib behind. At this point, I called them to come and get the rest of the crib, but Liran (the dispatcher) told me I would have to bring it to them in the warehouse. I ended up paying an extra $1,200 for them to come and pick up the rest of my home. After all items were delivered and unloaded on 8/3/17, I advised the driver (Rami) that 2 items from the inventory list were missing (provided tape color & lot#) and 2 furniture items were broken and a large mirror (baby dresser & tv stand) unusable upon delivery. I told them that I would like to know how they would respond to this and facilitate a claims process as their driver refused to let me update the inventory list with the information of goods upon delivery as I am entitled to do and the driver "Rami" walked away to get back in the truck without a signature. He drove away and refused to acknowledge my concerns and requests. He also gave me furniture that was not mine and I returned it to him.After being threatened and pressured to be there at quoted time with their money, the driver, Rami arrived after quoted time which Yair Knafo confirmed with my husband the morning of delivery and the driver attempted to give us furniture that did not belong to us. The driver also refused to bring my items into my home unless we provided $250 extra, which we refused. We hired the local mover who was with the company's driver to move the items into our home and provided that extra money to him instead. I refused to provide more money to this man to move items into my home. The driver (Rami), Yair Knafo and Chris Overby are unprofessional and rude thieves/crooks. They should not be able to run a moving company as they are messing with people's lives and have not care in the world who they are hurting.I paid the company for a service and if it was not handled by well mannered individuals, they need to be shut down and brought to justice for fraud and more. My actions afterwards included filing a complaint with nccdb/fmcsa/dot folks detailing their discriminatory and deceiving practices, with the names of the offending parties. Also, I did take a picture of the truck and the DOT # of the delivering truck was different than that of contract so make sure to detail that within complaint.

if there's a zero option, I would give it to America moving and storage.. this company is a scam. they picked up my stuff May 29,2016 and until today, July 19,2016, i still haven't got my stuff and the driver haven't called me at all. Liran, Sonny and Yayer from the dispatch department wasn't nice at all and gave me 100 times of promise that they will give me update and that my stuff is on its way but everytime I call them they kept telling me that the driver will call me today or tomorrow and that's been going on for more than a week now. dont ever sign up with this company, you'll get a heart attack and they dont care. I just want my stuff and I believe that God has something for this kind of people working in this company.They are so bad, really really bad.. I wish I did some research before I signed up with them. this is the worse company that I've ever dealt with. . awful service of north america moving and storage. they finally delivered my stuff after almost 2 months of waiting but they charged me another $400 its just because they cant find a parking slot. if you want a peaceful moving, DO Not sign up with them. awful people in the Dispatch department named YAYER AND LIRAN. they get money from people, they are devil

If there was less than a 1 star they would receive it.  My belongings were picked up three days late.  I had a bad feeling but it was too late to make other arrangements with another mover, although I tried.Delivery took almost 7 weeks and was quoted 9 to 11 days.  My stuff was put in storage outside of Raleigh, NC where I was picked up.  The pickup drivers were friendly but clearly incompetent.  They stored my belongings without my permission.As time went on I discovered I was in storage waiting for a truck to head west.  I was told they have hundreds of trucks.  In fact, they have two cabs.  The truck broke down outside of Houston twice.  The driver quit, and had to wait for another cab to pick up the load.  The owner refused to pay the bill on the last repair, so I begged to hold the cab as collateral and let the trailer leave.My damage and loss are unbelievable.  They packed two tv;s, both missing.  Missing 2 boxes and a large suitcase.  Many electronics and kitchen goods, designer clothes, boots, and shoes are included in the loss.  3 dressers were completely destroyed.  The couch was water logged and molded as was my bed and chair.  There were boxes caved in and water soaked.  Many of the prints/artwork were destroyed.  I was threatened by the owner to have my stuff put in storage in Houston to never to found again because I demanded delivery and realized it would be bad once delivered based on previous posts.The good news is there is an alternative to help put this rogue mover out of business.  He was fined significant dollars by the DOT, there is arbitration available after they deny your claim and there are compalint filings available thru the attorney general's office and consumer affairs.  I have collected a great deal of inof on the crook.  If anyone needs info please let me know

Once these folks had my stuff I could never get a straight answer from them about where my stuff was and when I would get it. When I made the booking they told me they had lots of trips out to California and I could expect my things in a week. It took more that 3 weeks to get my items. Terrible customer service, can't get customer service on the phone either. I strongly discourage you from using this company.
