I recently in with my boyfriend and needed help with the logistics of my move. I've never had such a fast and easy move. Most moving companies take forever to move what you need and they break something in the process. So glad none of that happened here. Thank you !

White Gold Moving and Storage, INC DBA Cheetah Movers.They were contracted through Colonial Van Lines Relocation Division.PICK-UP:Pick-up was supposed to be Monday or Tuesday. I was called by someone saying the movers would be coming Monday. I later get word that they will come Tuesday between 8 and 12. Some time Tuesday I am contacted that they will arrive between 12 and 4. At 3PM I was told that they would not make it and it would be Wednesday. Once again it was supposed to be between 8 and 12. However, they were unable to get a truck. So when they finally did, they had to finish up their other job before coming to do my pick-up. Finally at 7:15PM on 3/29, they arrived for my pick-up. I basically blew 2 days planning for them to come. I lost over a day's work in wages. They did credit me $100. They packed my stuff very well, I believe. So, that part of the pick-up went well. Then I was hit up for $200 cash so they could have gas money to fill the truck to make the drive to LA. Otherwise they would not be able to drive down until the next day as they didn't have access to funds. Are you kidding me? Perhaps if that was part of the plan in the quotes might be OK but very poor business etiquette. The driver says, "well, if you don't pay the cash, we won't be able to drive until tomorrow morning and that could delay your delivery". DELIVERY:Move cost was supposed to be weight based. At sale, it was emphasized by my broker (Colonial) that my move was based on weight and that I would only pay for the weight of my goods. I still never saw the weigh-in documents. The carrier (White Gold) told me that my weight was 2000 pounds, but based on the rates, the total price doesn't change. I was later asking for a more detailed explanation and was told the my weight was 2150 and that the pound rate on that ends up producing the same total for the move as the 3003 pounds that my estimate was based upon. I was then told that space on his truck was allotted based on 3003 pounds and that being less, he had wasted space on his truck. That sound's like a volume shipment. I wanted my goods, so I just paid the amount based on the 3003 pounds.For delivery, someone called and suggested that my goods may arrive Monday. I was then contacted and scheduled for Wednesday. Scheduling the delivery, the driver had no idea that a shuttle was needed at delivery. It was on all of my original documents included in my estimate. The driver asked me about final payment. I still didn't have the final detailed paperwork. In reality still don't. They provided something that just had a balance due that was based on my estimate, less payments, less the $100 off for lost time at pick-up. I told the driver that I was going to pay with credit card as that's what I had set up with my salesperson. He said something like "well you better have that taken care of before we drop off because I don't want to have to wait around for an hour". I had already lost 2 full days waiting for pick-up! I then received an e-mail from someone "in the office" with a credit card payment authorization form to fill out and submit. They want copies of my driver's license, copy of the credit card, front and back, and I still don't have a final detailed bill. So, I opted to go with cash as I was not going to provide the info on paper. Get a square reader and process it on site. Really! So the driver tells me on Tuesday that he is going to come early in the morning Wednesday - 7:30, or 8. So I get up early to be ready for him. I wait and wait, no call. I call at 10AM. He is trying to get a truck for the shuttle. So I waste ANOTHER 4 hours waiting for these people, he finally arrives at Noon. Mr. I don't want to have to wait around an hour for you to make payment.They made a stressful endeavor more stressful.All of my goods made it. When unpacking I came across 2 boxes of glassware and plates that were damaged. The box of plates was really over-packed and overly heavy. Shame on me. The glassware may have been packed better, but several glasses were completely shattered and probably about 75% of the glassware was broken. Once again, not a very well packed box.Would be 1 star, but all of my stuff did make it, so at least I didn't have an post-move issues.

ABSOLUTE FRUAD, HORRIBLE MOVERS!!!! DON'T TRUST PREVIOUS REVIEWS!!!!if you want to pay someone a couple thousand dollars to shatter your fine furniture then you should definitely hire this company.I was moving from SoCal to NorCal. The customer service was good before the pick up but right after pick up, the FRUADs started to show up one after the other. NEVER TRUST THE ORIGINAL QUOTE THEY GIVE YOU!!!!First, they got a full list of my furniture and boxes before giving me a quote and told me My furniture weighs less than the base price of 1050$ for 1500 lb load. Second they told me they have 2 other loads heading NorCal about the same day I wanted to receive the delivery and they would be able to make the delivery in 3 days by a big truck for all 3  loads.Third, I was told they would wrap all the furniture in blanket and tape the boxes.WHAT HAPPENED AFTER PICK UP? 30 minutes after the pick up they called and told me that the load weighs doubled the estimate and I should pay another 1000$ cash at delivery. Also they wouldn't be able to make the delivery in 3 days as originally stated but in 10 days (which changed to 10 working days later and ultimately ended up with 11 days delivery).Shouldn't a professional moving company be able to have a better weight estimate? I mean a couple of hundred ponds less or more I'd understand but double? THIS IS A FRUUAD.  Finally I received my brand new furniture smashed, scratched and broken and the boxes were pressed and torn. Apparently per movers, they had unloaded the furniture and stored in a warehouse for 10 days and this damaged was done during the loading/unloading and storage.I filed a complaint with their Insurance Department, after 2 weeks of reviewing the claim, they offered me a 100$ for my losses!!!!!HEAR IT FROM ME!!!! Don't trust previous reviews. renting a truck and hiring movers off street or from the Home Depot, would be hassle free compared to this one and a lot cheaper.

I recently moved and was given a couple of furniture pieces by a friend and I knew there was no way that I would be able to move them by myself. A friend referred me to White gold Moving Company after using them for her move a few weeks prior.White gold, was so great on accommodating such a short notice request and was very detail oriented and gave me all the pricing information up front. It was also refreshing that he provided me a yelp coupon while on the phone.I didn't have the addresses at the time and they called everyday to see if I had gotten them. This was nice to know that they were so on top of it. On the day of the move, they were there right on time- if not earlier (before I got there). They were quick, efficient, nice and reassuring. Some of the furniture pieces were stuck behind other furniture, and they were great at pulling out other pieces and putting them all back. They were finished with my move within 3 hours and I couldn't have been happier.I highly recommend this company to anyone needing to move!
