Not sure if "Tara" is supposed to be their customer service representative but if so they should really think about switching her out. Literally cannot believe the service my family received from her. She interrupted every other thing I tried to say and on top of that made it very obvious that she had no interest in listening to my concerns or thoughts. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!

I stand by my original review and would like to respond to the company's response with the following:"We are deeply saddened to hear about your experience with [our] company." -- Is this why your claims department refuses to respond to my emails or even acknowledge whether they got the claim we sent? Is this why no follow-up email or call was made to find out how our experience was? If you can't actually act on your "sadness" I'm gonna have to imagine you're not losing any sleep over it. "The employee which you have mentioned is no longer with our company, but we would like to say we're very sorry for the inconvenience he may have caused." -- Which employee are you referring to? I mentioned the foreman that picked up and dropped off -- two different people. Which one did you fire? My guess is neither. "Thank you for giving L D a shot, and we wish you luck with your new home." -- Didn't have a choice to "give you a shot" since the unholy mess that is Budget Van Lines stuck me with you in the 11th hour. You could care less that I have good luck with my home. If you (LD Moving) want to make things right I'm happy to change my review. But I'm not holding my breath. For those who have suffered, please, please, please, file a complaint with the FMCSA.

I don't normally write bad yelp reviews, but I felt the need to warn people about this company because of how shady and predatory their methods are.Basically their MO is bait and switch. They will give you a low ball quote and yes you to death until you sign on, then when its time to deliver your things they will hold your stuff hostage and try to shake you down for extra money with all kinds of extra fees.For example, if there is any steps at your new place, that is an extra $50 per step. Etc. Or if their ginormous truck can't fit on your block that is an extra $400-600. Its kind of crazy how there is no mention of any of these things up front. They are hoping to catch you off guard so you'll just fork over the extra cash.Speaking of cash, they make you pay them in cash, so its also shady as hell...Overall I felt very tricked / scammed. Also, they broke a lot of my stuff.... :(Tell your friends not to use them. Moving is stressful enough without people being shady and trying to scam you out of extra money at the 11th hour. Good luck to you in your move!

Mover BEWARE!! Do NOT book them! I used LD last July to move from La Mesa (I had them keep my stuff in storage). So first red flag is lowball rate over phone, when they finally got to my place they upcharged me close to $1,000!!! I had no choice at that time due to urgency of the move and needing to make it to a funeral back in FL. I opted pay on credit card, which also came with a 5% fee, which one of the movers was so "kind" to waive. Anyway, upon arrival the main mover had an attitude with me over the phone, then took a smoke break before coming upstairs and upcharging me, then he got an attitude with my friend's 4 year old son who was playing with some bubble wrap while they began to move stuff. My friends and I ran out to grab breakfast and came back with a 12 pack of Corona for the 2 movers. By then almost everything was out my apartment, when they got to the truck, I ran out asking if I can get to my dresser and they said "no" it was already to deep in truck, I had over $300 CASH in their from my yard sale. I told them that I will call and report it to the company since it was too late and for them to let their boss know as well. Finally the following week later, Isabella finally got ahold of me since I had left a message for her, she told me that none of the movers told them anything and I told her to please make note of conversation incase my money disappears. Finally a few months later upon drop off, ALL of my cash is GONE!! OVER $300!!! They took every single bill but left all my gift cards because those are trackable. I called and spoke to Isabella again and was told I had to make a claim with their third party because on top of my cash being missing, I was missing other items and my shoe rack was broken. I called the third party and a rude woman answered, she emailed me the claim forms but demanded I send in a incredible amount of stuff..EVERY single moving form, pictures, etc and on top of that I could NOT claim my missing cash!! This company is straight garbage with unprofessional and dishonest employees!! No one was EVER reprimanded and I never was offered an apology or anything!! DISGUSTING!

Me and my boyfriend moved from Los Angeles to Vegas, this was our first move and I was afraid that my stuff will broke and get lost, fortunately the movers worked in a very professional way using blankets and markers so we will know each box and what it contains. The price and the service was beyond reasonable. They worked quick, clean and organized. Thank you so much for making this move so fast and easy for us.. Will hire again :)
