If I could give them less than one star I would. It took 3.5 hours to load and move everything even with me and someone else helping them. When I tried to tell them something they got mad and started complaining cursing in Russian. They move like slugs and they tried to cheat me out of my money. Don't go to these people ever. The promise a low rates to get business then they add in charges later. THEY SUCK!!

My review is similar to many of the others in some respects.  On Saturday May 18, 2013, the Adept movers (3 in total) came with a truck that was not large enough for our move, even though I had spent time prior explaining what they were going to move.  And, since they had to re-arrange numerous items to fit everything, the move took the entire day and cost hundreds of dollars more than the quote.At my first residence, I foolish told the youngest of the three movers that the item he had picked up contained a sealed signed Muhammad Ali framed 8x10 photograph. The package was marked with Fragile Tape and had The Highland Mint seal on the address label (I paid $899 for the item in 2010).  I asked him to be careful with the item, and he assured me he would be.Well, you know the rest of this story.  The item never arrived at my new home (and, due to their taking of extra time, and the extra money paid for the move, I did not notice it was missing until Monday, two days after my move.  I called the company owner (Anthony, I believe), and told him the above information.  He assured me he would look  into the matter, and call me.  Approximately two weeks passed, and no call from the owner.  So, I called back.  He simply told me he did not have any information for me.  He did not offer his company's insurance information, or in any way offer to assist in remedying the loss.  I have since reported his company Adept Moving and Storage to the Better Business Bureau. It is sickening for me to think my item is hanging inside the home of one of these guys or their friends.

I signed up for an online quote, and I've never been harassed so much by a vendor.They wouldn't give me an estimate.I received 3 text messages (which came out as 9 texts in my phone they were so long), multiple phone calls and 3 emails within a couple days.  I responding to an email to Anthony telling it was borderline harassment and no one ever responded.We went with Ilan and North Star moving and were extremely pleased.  They were slightly more $$ than Adept advertised, but they were extremely professional and friendly.

I've used Adept three times in the last two years and it's been a smooth move every time. They're efficient and get the job done quickly. All three moves involved my 50" HD plasma tv and it's still rocking a beautiful image. It was the one thing in moving that I was worried might be mishandled by a thrifty moving company but each time they wrapped it up and stored it safely. Obviously I'd recommend them as I've re-used them myself twice already now.

we hired Adept to move one small bedroom in september '13. here's what you might be in for:they arrived earlier than scheduled, screwing up the storage unit. they tacked on an hour of charges for sitting around. they didn't honor the clear and accurate phone quote, and insisted on something like 25% more for distance and gas at the destination. they threatened to move it back. we paid it.the movers slipped us folded paper instead of the order we signed and we didn't notice. we phoned afterwards to discuss and they started stonewalling us. we told them to keep the money, just send us a proper receipt for the full amount. more stalling. we tried going through the better business bureau, but it didn't help. they insisted we remove negative reviews (sound like extortion to you?), and said their movers couldn't be contacted and no longer worked for them. eventually, they released their work order, with our FORGED signature. we pointed it out and they went silent.it's literally criminal, but what can we do except warn others? trust me, it's not worth it.
