It rained but the two guys did a great job moving my stuff and all my boxes. We rented our own truck and primarily just used them for labor. Their pricing was reasonable and competitive, so I would recommend them for any type of move. No issues with the handling of our goods. They set up the bed and put the furniture where I wanted it. Everything went quickly - about 6 hours. The movers were courteous and friendly. It was an easy move and I was surprised by the cost.

I used them on a recent move from SF to DC. This was my third time moving cross country using a pack and ship service and I couldn't have been more disapointed in the unprofessional way the move was handled. A week before the move, they asked me to sign the final documents with the price, delivery time, etc. I signed them, then received a call the following day telling me they had misquoted the packing fees and it would be double. After pitching a major fit and insisting that a supervisor call me back to discuss how a signed contract was not being accepted, they finally relented and honored the first price. They sent 3 people to pack my one bedroom apartment and it seemed like they worked hard to I tipped them each $100- what a mistake! When our stuff finally arrived in DC 3 weeks later (with 12 hours notice, not the 24 they tell you nor the 72 hours I needed to secure them a parking permit), they said that I would need to pay for the transfer to a smaller truck because the street was too narrow for a semi truck. Not only did a disagree with that assessment, but since they knew my delivery address the entire time, shouldn't they have told me that when quoting me a price? The charge was $300, not a small figure. Almost all of my furniture arrived damaged. This happens in a move but much of it was obviously because the packing was so bad. I had an antique mirror that they packed with half of it hanging outside the box, uncovered and therefore was badly scratched. I paid for the extra insurance but the company they use requires you to note damage within 48 hours (I guess I should have read the pages and pages of small print while trying to get ready for a move) or you're out of luck. You also have to get estimates on repairs for each damaged item. In my past experience with moving, the moving company assessed the damage via photos and decided if they would repair or replace it- no estimates needed. Finally, the packing job. Thank god I didn't pay the full price for this because they literally just threw my belongings into large boxes. Instead of hanging clothes in a wardrobe box, my stuff was just thrown in. They even used large, tall boxes to pack our china, which of course resulted in a lot of it being broken. At no time did I feel like I was dealing with a professional company. It seemed like they had never handled a cross country move before. I don't know if it's because my move originated from San Francisco instead of LA? In any case, I would never use them again.

Went as well as we could have hoped. The estimator was right on with the number of guys and the size and number of trucks needed for our job. The guys that actually did the moving were on time, professional, and courteous, and everything was moved without a scratch. I would never use or recommend another company again, as this was outstanding service.

Professional movers. They took such care with our furniture and not to scratch the wall or a piece of moving anything. When it came time to return they were all wonderful, making sure I liked where they put the heavy objects, and even lighter. They have such a demeanor that you know you can trust them. I highly recommend hiring movers for any move. I know that I would re-hire them in the future.

Recently I moved from California to Portland with the help of City Long Distance Moving. I couldn't really find an affordable company that would move me across the country. Then I searched over internet and found them.As soon as they showed up my place, they began working. They moved my lots of valuable things so smoothly and carefully. Moreover, the price was so reasonable for me, I don't think I would get better price than their offer! I really appreciate their work. They truly took professional care of my stuffs.
