First Class Moving & Storage

Writing for a friend who "lost" her computer during the move. Never would I have thought a box with my computer, kindle and important receipts would NOT show up. Chris was very defensive and said "you signed off on an empty truck "Well, everything is unpacked and these items are not here. The young kid who "packed" this box never labeled it either. So sad that my important personal items are gone. They were tipped well and fed lunch. That is the thanks I get. :(

Public Service Announcement. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, I REPEAT.....DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. 1 star is to high of a rating. Where do I began. This is the worst moving company EVER! My son had a scheduled appointment for this past Sunday for 8am. So my son called at 8:30am and they said they would be shortly. Now its 10am and still not there. So my son called again, this time his call went straight to voicemail. So, I called and they answered...wow talk about avoiding a customers call. Anyways, they said the would be there shortly. Movers didn't show up till 2pm....yes 2pm. They gave some lame excuse anout not finishing a job from the previous night. Keep in mind the company has 6 trucks and its Sunday.In conclusion, after everything was done the crew manager had the adassaty to wait around and ask for a tip for his crew and never once apologized for the tardiness or why they never gave my son a courtesy call back saying they would be that late.I'm a retired Air Force military member of 25 years and have never dealt with a more unprofessional company. Save yourself the stress and use a different company.

I do not recommend using this company. If you do, make sure you understand all of their fees in advance. They did not disclose their trip and fuel charges in advance. they also tried to charge me $20 for shrink wrap that was not used. Honest people are hard to find in the moving business.

First off, First Class Movers claim: "we are dedicated to quality service and satisfaction. We enjoy making you the customer our number one priority. You will find our professional representatives are friendly and courteous. Our primary goal at First Class Moving and Storage, Inc is to take the extra steps necessary to save you time an money". It is sad to say this is all a lie!!! I would have rated them no stars with the website would have allowed me. May 15th a representative came out and gave me an estimate. In the process he told me what size unit I will need. I scheduled him immediately for the end of may and then pushed theo e to June 5 due to closing issues. I called the company the Monday before to ask a quick question and the question was all that was discussed. June 5th the guys arrived looked through the house advised me that the storage unit I got was way to small, so I have been paying storage fees on a unit that will never be used. When the gentlemen asked me how I was going to pay I told him credit card. He hen informed me that they do not take cc. He then asked if they informed June 4th when they called to confirm. No one ever discussed the form of payment that they only take cask or cashiers check, nor did they call to confirm my appointment on June 5th. When you look at the papers they give the form of payment is not listed and when you go to their website there is no information on form of payment. Because of this the guys canceled my love leaving me stranded with no options. I do not see how this makes them dedicated to taking the extra steps to ensure that my time and money is saved. When you call te office sometimes you will receive someone nice and sometimes you won't. I will NEVER use them again!!! You would be a fool to use them as well.

They should change the name to Worst Class Moving & Storage. Use them at your own risk - these guys are horrible. Chris (the owner's brother, I believe) came out to give me an estimate and we booked him based upon that quote. We wound up getting rid of most of the large furniture items that his crew was initially supposed to move for us, deciding instead to buy new and have the new items delivered directly to our new home. This should have saved a ton of space in the truck. Instead, their crew brought a truck that was already packed with huge moving boxes (not ours and not for us), couldn't fit in all of our items, then told me they'd have to charge more if I wanted them to get the rest. This forced me to rent a moving van myself and haul the rest of my items for an extra $100. Also, though boxes were labeled with what room to put them in, the crew supervisor (Carl - a real piece of work) had his crew just dump a bunch of things where ever they felt like. I had kitchen pantry and bedroom boxes sitting in my side yard, boxes labeled for the living room taken upstairs... just a mess. Also, though I had some boxes marked as extremely fragile, these jerks paid no regard at all and placed such boxes on the very bottom of their disorderly piles that they placed in my garage, causing a bunch of irreplaceable items to get damaged. Let's also not forget that a pair of safes and several boxes of power tools came up missing, too. Throughout the move, Carl (the crew supervisor) kept swearing and harassing his crew, making it a very uncomfortable environment. He also kept trying to sell me some chandelier, which struck me as very inappropriate. Also, do not expect a crew or truck that even resembles an actual company. They rolled up in budget rental truck with their rag tag crew wearing motley clothing, not even shirts that said their company name. When I called to report my concerns to Chris, he laughed at me, said that they're not responsible for lost items, and was just all around a real bozo. I asked for the owner to call me and of course that never happened, either. First Class Moving & Storage is the absolute worst. I hired movers to simplify my move. Instead, I wound up with a very expensive headache and a lot of extra work that I should not have had to do.
