I have used them twice and recommended them to a family member as well. Both times everything went very smooth. Very quick and efficient, nothing was broken or damaged. Would use again and highly recommend!

I wish my better half checked these reviews before hiring this company. I don't know where to start. It took 7 hours from start to finish (roughly 4 hours to load stuff that was already packed up and broken down beds, appliances etc and another 3 hours to UNLOAD leaving my stuff all jammed in a room) The guys left some stuff in the garage that needed to be taken upstairs. Let's not forget the damage to my freshly painted walls in 2 different areas!! Oh and the fact they DROPPED my refrigerator on the door at my old place causing a piece to BREAK off!! So not only am I out $700 for this "half price half ass movers" I'm also out money to get wall repainted and also out money for the door at my old place!These guys do NOT have the proper equipment to move items! RUN! DO NOT HIRE THEM!

I so regret hiring this company. First of all, getting the info on all my items that needed to be moved was done incorrectly and incompletely. When the movers showed up at my house, I was told they couldn't move everything I had because it wasn't on their list!! No one ever talked to me to go through everything. Now we have to hire more movers to get the rest of our stuff!Second, the guys that moved my stuff damaged the walls at both my old place AND my new place. The old place has a huge scratch on a wall, and they chipped several corners at my new house.They also damaged furniture. There are now scratches all over my desk, my TV stand was broken in half, and a shelving unit is bent. Before they started moving, they offered me some extra coverage for possible damages for an extra $50...after being assured they would take care of my stuff, I declined it. Should have taken it. I never thought so much damage would be done.Now, we've called and emailed and complained. We were told more movers could come to finish the job, but we would be charged full price. YEAH RIGHT! We hired someone else. We were also told we would be emailed a claim form to submit for the damages. I haven't received it yet!Please don't hire them. I read bad reviews and usually think that it won't happen to me. This time it did. It was just awful. I buy a house in perfect condition, now it's beat up because of their incompetence.

They were very courteous and professional.  They did some packing and moved all items I packed personally and were equally good at both; all while still being very cost competitive.  I would highly recommend 1/2 Price Movers.

The people that actually did the moving is what I am writing this review.  You may get others which are more responsible.Of the 3 that came, one particularly was physically not fit to do heavy lifting.  This has resulted in a broken cabinet, several dented pots, damaged door frames because they did not have the proper tools to remove the fridge handles and screws and a dented fridge because they were tired and did not bother to check if their trolley was inserted properly below before lifting.  I know it may sound ridiculous, but do get information about the persons that will be coming and that they show you the tools when they get there.
