We signed up with Transit Moving to move our items from Houston to VA. We were told that the movers would take care of disassembling items and loading them. We were told if they had to pack anything there would be a charge. They showed up on Friday and started immediately shrink wrapping the furniture. I did not think anything about it as they immediately did it so I thought it was part of the service. They are now trying to charge me over $900 for shrink wrap that I did not ask for nor approve. I have repeatedly asked where in the contract it states the furniture must be shrink wrapped and we had to pay for it. Both Adam and Tanisha acted as if that was normal practice. I kept saying I had not agreed. I then got a call back from Sarah their CS manager. She stated I must have asked for the Shrink Wrap otherwise they would not have done it. That is ridiculous. We are paying over $10k for this move, I do not think a discussion over $900 would be a deal breaker. Sarah stated they would have to go to dispatch and they would have to answer on it. I do not trust this company at all. The foreman that was there the second day, Mark, offered to take over $2k off the bill if we paid him $600 cash. He said that they trust him and don't question what he writes down. When we said no that we did not do shady deals he asked if we really understood what he was offering. We are not stupid we are just not dishonest either. I have dealt with several people over the phone on these issues. Sarah was very rude in my opinion. When I asked who her boss was she stated she didn't have one. I said, so you run CS and don't have to answer to anyone? She then stated the owners would be her boss. I asked for their name and she refused to provide it. She kept talking over me and trying to tell me how CS works. She also felt the need to explain to me how corporations in America work. I stated I have run CS for years, even won awards and that I know how it works. She said she didn't need to explain anything to me because this is how it works at our company. I left that I needed someone with decision making authority to call me back. I do not want to continue to speak to people that tell me they cannot do anything in their department. THE GOOD REVIEWS ON THIS COMPANY ARE FAKE. READ THE BAD ONES, THEY ARE THE TRUE CUSTOMERS. This company does not care about customers, is not fair and certainly not reputable.

Update 9-1-17: The owner of this company really cares how his clients are treated. I was immediately contacted by the owner of the company who handled my complaint with so much concern and care.  I was reluctant at first to respond to his calls, because most companies only pretend to care when there is a mishap. He was truly apologetic and gave us the top offer of all the companies. This is how a family-owned business should be run. He really listened and had answers to all of my questions. He offered to handle everything personally and even provided a direct number to contact him. This is the model of true customer service. I've never been more satisfied with an outcome. I really appreciate the standard that he holds his company to and will certainly recommend them to others. 8.30.17If I could give this company less than one star, I would. I did not get past the reservation stage with this company. My spouse and I are moving across country soon because duty calls. We opted out of allowing the Army to move us because of time and delivery. We sent and inquiry to this company and they instantly began calling and emailing. The calls and emails were non-stop. We'd gotten a few quotes from other companies so we called to receive one from them. We first spoke with Saul who then transferred us to Carl for a "better deal." Carl was rude and his tone was condescending as he told us in so many words that we wouldn't do better than the 3300 that he was trying to charge us. We then told him that we'd get back to him after talking with a few companies. He would not let us get off of the phone. He asked us who gave us the best quote and the name of the company. He then goggled the company on the phone to tell us they had 2.5 starts and we might as well pay them the 3300 because we'd end up paying that anyway. He was pushy, unprofessional, and started t speak to us as if we were offending him because we wanted to weigh our options. We weren't able to simply end the call with a we'll be in touch. We hung up as he still spoke rudely to us. Do yourself a favor and bypass this company.

who are you people who writing 5 stars???? are you the one who receive my belongings????Please, I am HUGE VICTIM, I did 2 police reports, they stole over 260k worth of my stuff, deliver some one else stuff, I AM HURTING BAD.  They charged me 11 thousand of rtheir SUPER services instead 4300 as promised, extorted CASH ONLY, while before I was promises charge to the credit card, hold into my stuff for over month I am hysterical, My bags, dining table, valuables shoes, all designer, elecrtonics are GONE, 4 vacuums, My husband in shock and blaming me for hiring this company BAD,  all I accumulated trout my life just GONE!!! I moved 8 times for the last 10 years with the same things and NOW all gone, MARK and DAVID- SCAMMED ME, not even talking about that they stole my credit card, while I was in Chicago, I receive credit card alert that some one using my card in the Napa valley, I called my brother he was home, and mover charged 211 dollars at the Walmart , I will continue till I find justice and replace my stuff. When I called customer service request a contract- they laughed at me! The stole my stuff, legal action coming soon, I got at attorney who will help with this  ILLIGAL BBB UNCREDITED company I was asked by lawyer write a detail description every things things what is gone, even though most expensive designer items here we goMissing 1. Dining table top ( legs and extensions for it arrived)  $5400 I paid for the whole set of 6 chairs and China cabinet2. Laptop 15" MacBook Pro almost new $2499 plus tax ( box from it arrived) and 3 older laptops Apple arrived. 3. Keyboard, truck pad and mouse   from Apple desktop ( desktop itself arrived) approximately cost $300 plus tax4. 2 dyson vacuum approximately $8005. IRobot roomba $800 ( charger and station arrived )6. Carpet clearer $3507. Box with designer men cloth 8. Coffee maker $1009. Box of women swimming wear $150010. Wall basic large  mirrors 2 them approximately $20011. Parts of a dance poll ( I had 2 of them) now from 2 we made one and it's didn't spin, because parts are missing. Each dance pole was $450. 12. One decoration tree $10013. Book shelf few pieces arrived only $20014. Box with designer bags .15. Trampoline used for outdor inside storage room ) New was $150016. Suitcase with light stopping drapes inside - $60017. Christmas stuff -$20018. X-box one ( only game pad is arrived ) $35019. Games for X- box$ 30-4020. Canon 5 camera with accessories $600021. Plus mink fur worth $8000.22. Tool box $50023. Tons of designers shoes and bags worth over 100,00.00 24. Spices box with all spices 25. TV 26. Gucci watch was inside the bag   Someone's belongings we receive 1. Sounds box one of the two ( looks like it's was a set).2. Vacuum old and not working properly 3. 3 boxes of pictures from 2 different families 4. One big box we haven't even open but it's clearly not ours it's has a name of someone else in top5. Cooler 6. Fan7. Pictures small ( kids like looking ) Broken and damaged1. Lots of Murano glass from Italy $40002. Tv smashed inside and second large curved  tv damaged pixels and scratched. $30003. Almost all furniture were wrapped with tape with out blanked, so when we remove tape - paint came off and left ugly marks - master bedroom furniture cost $7400, second bedroom- 7800 all damaged by tape.4. China cabinet glass arrived all broken except one shelf will cost $ 400 in repairs. 5. Mirror frame broken from a set $4006. Both mattresses and spring box wasn't wrapped in blanked - so got damaged and very dirty $20007. Glass from coffee table broken $3008. Tons of souvenirs from our travels all over the world is broken - priceless .9. Box of Designer glasses smashed - $ 200010. The box with had Bright sign - GLASS - kitchen - were smashed so badly. Everything we're broken $200011. Picture frame $10012. Picture glass smashed inside $6013. Makeup cosmetics mirror with lights smashed inside -25014. Beauty machine for flat tummy screen smashed inside -$60015. 4 bar chairs from Balcony damaged and unuseeble $40016. One of the kitchen chairs set missing leg.

If you are moving locally soon, I can't say enough about about the excellent service I received from Transit Movers. They were on-time, hard working and extremely flexible and accommodating. We had some last minute changes we had to make with our arrangements and they just rolled with it and did everything necessary to make it work. Moving isn't fun, but these guys made it so much easier. They sent a crew of 4 guys to make sure they complete the whole move on the same day which was very important to us since we have 2 pets and wanted to settle right in. The packing was outstanding, we had a few big art pieces that needed special care and they rated them beautifully and they arrived in perfect condition, I was very worried that they wouldn't make it but they did! They went above and beyond to insure everything goes smoothly.

I am so relieved to be after this whole move. It's been such a crazy last two weeks trying to tie everything together with my transition. The last thing to complete it was the actual move itself and Transit Moving really saved the day! They sent out 3 of the most pleasant guys I've worked with. They came on time and got right to work I didn't even have to show them what I wanted they went right on to packing all the furniture and all the breakables they knew exactly what to do. They completed the packing and loading in under 4 hours which I thought was pretty impressive given how much needed to be packed. I'm now awaiting the delivery of my goods and I'm expecting the same level of service I received here. Stand by for updates.
