I felt that I needed to post an update to this review.  It looks like Top Movers has brought in some new management.  I was contact by DJ who is part of the new management team and he wanted to make an appointment to discuss the service I received in the past.  He came to visit me at my home on a Saturday and apologized for the behavior of the company on my last move.  He then discussed in great detail how the newly formed management team was making a lot of positive changes (additional training, more vetting during the hiring process and an increased focus on customer service).  All steps in the right direction.  He finished the visit by giving me a refund on my moving experience.  Though this does not come close to paying for the damaged furniture and lost items, I thought it was a nice gesture.

I've got mixed feelings about Top Movers. Let me start with the positives,  all our stuff was packed and moved to the new house without damage. Mohammad and his crew were very friendly and worked hard taking minimal breaks.Some things that could be improved; the quote I received from the front office for packing and moving a 4 bedroom house was 8-10 hrs and in the end it was 13.5 hrs. The guys worked hard and had some rain delay (15min) but missing an estimate by 30% is a lot ( and it hurts the wallet).Some smaller things were the mislabeled boxes or no labels so we ended up having to hoist 8 heavy boxes up the stairs ourselves.Also, I'm happy to pay a tip but don't ask me to almost double it.So the guys did their job but some things could be improved to get a 4 or a 5 star rating.This is my first Yelp review, Top Movers asked me to write one.

Update to the situation in my last review - shortly after I posted the review, Top Movers Customer Service called me to try and rectify the situation. The customer service representative and the owner worked very hard to make sure this would not happen again and offered a refund of the tip I paid plus an additional compensation for the trouble we went through.I was impressed that Top Movers went this far to make things right and thus bumping up my review by a star.

This move was 2 full apartments into 1 townhouse. 3 man crew with a 25' truck. Moving Team: I don't remember their names but I remember they spoke Russian. From the start we had excellent customer service. My questions were answered and an accurate quote was provided. We received a phone call before the move to confirm everything was still good to go. Day of the move we got a call from the movers 30 mins prior advising their ETA. The movers worked hard the whole time and took great care of our furniture by utilizing the cellophane, blankets, etc. We had 0 damage which is awesome. I would recommend these movers to a friend and would use them again if needed. Tips: For efficiency boxes need to be loaded at the back of the truck. If 2 apartments are being loaded into 1 truck the apt with the most boxes should be the first stop.Advice for the moving company: Not sure if this was an option at the time but it would have been great to have had a person come out to the apartments and access the volume of stuff to be moved and which apartment should be picked up first. The truck got full and we had to move the last 25 boxes ourselves.

Victor and his crew were efficient and on time, took care of our belongings and moved us out quickly with no problems!
