History

Established in 1972. The first Public Storage building opened in El Cajon California, but the new business was only supposed to be temporary. Two partners pioneered the concept as a way to use their real estate investment while they waited for the Southern California community to take off and value of their land to grow. They kept building, and people continued to fill their units. Eventually the pair realized that self-storage was here to stay, and they never looked back. Today, there are thousands of neighborhood Public Storage locations to choose from, many right around the corner from you.

This facility is in a pretty nice neighborhood and they have a lot of long-term renters. Those were just two reasons why I rented here. The third was Marissa. She handled everything quickly and congratulated me on getting such a good deal online. I wasn't sure how long it would take me to get my storage unit, but it it ended up taking about 15-20 tops. Great experience, nice neighborhood, and a fantastic manager like Marissa, is why you should give them a look if you're searching for storage.

I reserved my reservation online, and was later contacted by Ms. Kimmons to confirm the reservation. I was able to lock in a great rate online, and even able to change my move in date by simply calling her to inform her on the request. She punctually arrived on time to complete paper work, and inform me about the policies, rules, times of operation, and codes. I chose this location based merely on the rate I locked in online.

Friendly staff. Climate controlled, clean smaller units. Requires additional *expensive* insurance purchase which is not advertised. Requires purchase of $19.95 padlock if you do not have one already.

This location is absolutely horrible - avoid at all costs. A water pipe broke in my unit and destroyed several of my belongings. I spoke to Chandice who told me she would talk to the district manager about a remedy and he never returned my phone calls. His name is Syed. I was inconvenienced by asking to leave my key (a security breach) so that they could do maintenance work. This location continues to charge me for storing (now) damaged goods. they do not care about the customer and are not committed to customer satisfaction, I will file a better business bureau complaint as well and plan to escalate to Syed's boss.
