They have terrible organization.  I was expecting a overstock.com. I talked to the lady at A1 Freeman and they said they would deliver it Tuesday.  I called them Tuesday and they had no idea where the item was. My wife stayed home from work to get the delivery and they said it would be Thursday. Total incompetence of not knowing where the item was when it was delivered to them the prior week. Never use these people.Terrible terrible customer service..Terrible

I do not recommend this company at all. This was my absolute worst moving experience! From the time after receiving my quote through the actual relocation, I experience one of the worst customer services experiences  of my life. I previously had only worked with an apartment moving company to change apartments within the same city, and that was a great experience. I was clear with the salesperson that I wanted all of the furniture packed and moved, and emphasized that this was my first time working with a moving company for such a large move (I was in a house) across the country.  Nothing I asked for happened, and communication from the sales rep was practically nonexistent. In fact, had to practically beg for a revised quote prior to my move.Several days after the estimate was sent, I e-mailed and called the salesperson several times for a revised quote because I did not need to move my washer and dryer with me, yet I did not receive a response. Several other companies with whom I had been corresponding were quickly and easily able to give me a revised quote. I had to call his supervisor and emphasize that I really wanted to work with A-1 Freeman but had not received a revised quote from the salesperson. Only then did he finally e-mail a quote that was about fifty dollars less once I removed the  washer and dryer.  I contemplated hiring a different moving company after this experience, but read so many positive reviews about A-1 that I decided this was just a small issue that was not a reflection of how my actual move would proceed. I was wrong!Fastforward to the actual day of the move, and it seems there were a bit of miscommunication between the salesperson and movers in regards to my move. The delivery date was wrong and my instructions for packing my items was never mentioned to the drive. The only time I received a call from the salesperson WITHOUT having to call a manager was when A-1 was ready to charge me more fees for arriving a bit late to my destination due to a tire blowout on the road. I encourage consumers to think twice about working with this company.

Terrible experience. Look elsewhere!  Like the other posters, I experienced the worst customer service ever. I have moved across the country several times so I know this is not how it works! From estimates, to packing materials, to moving, to billing...there were communication problems every step of the way and it was extremely stressful! I am convinced the salesman is on something because nobody is that forgetful. He also acted angry about everything. A-1 Freeman has a serious problem!

We have moved several times out of state and this was by far THE WORST!  We went with A-1 Freeman because we were told our belongings would go from our house to a storage vault and then that vault would be brought to us when we were ready to move in.  I'm pretty sure it never went into a vault and because of that, we have a good list of items that are missing.  After being assured that a month was plenty of lead-time to get our things delivered, we were never assigned a driver and only after calling several times daily did our belongings show up a week later than we were guaranteed.  Did I mention that when our things did show up there were only 2-drivers to unload our 3100 square foot house?  After more than 12-hours of unloading the truck, we opened our boxes to find damaged and missing items.  It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had!
