Get Moving

Mr. Levi and his crew at "Get Moving" did an exceptional job for me!   I had them move a china cabinet, dining table and eight chairs.   The table and cabinet were both extremely heavy.  They wrapped the furniture and everything arrived without any damage at all.   Mr. Levi and his crew were prompt, professional, accommodating and courteous.   I highly recommend them for all moving.I will certainly use them again if I need anything moved!   The moving rate was very affordable!Great company; great service.

Levi, Levi Jr. Aaron and Bubba were SUCH a pleasure to work with!! They showed up on time, loaded our things quickly, safely and securely! I would recommend them over and over again. Get Moving is a top-notch moving company with incredible rates. I've moved a lot over the years and have yet to encounter such a great group of mover!

I highly recommend this moving company, if ever I have to move in the future they will be my 'go to guys.' They showed up on time and were extremely professional and polite. There was no time wasted and no extra "surcharges." They were great, I have absolutely no complaints, only admiration for a job well done.

Mr. Levi and his crew were exceptional with time, professionalism and the persistence. As Mr. Levi asked me to come a day early to get prepared for my for the move today, it made me instantly feel that these are honest people. He saw exactly what I needed to help ease the day for EX: Bringing an extra worker... "hello!". As we know moving can be happy times and stressful times. I felt at ease and comfortable to know that everything was being taken care of due to the way Mr. Levi and his workers completed hard work for me. 3rd floor people!! I totally would like to tell someone who's in doubt, that you won't go wrong with Mr. Levi. I'm one that just looked these people up online with a wish and a prayer that I wouldn't be upset at broken merchandise or being over charged. Also, I'm sure there are many people not from TX as myself, so it can be overwhelming finding honest safe help. However trust this review to be honest, because if we are all honest as people or at least try to be, it will make life so much easier. Thanks Again Mr. Levi & (Crew)

Werner Herzog once said "Civilization is like a thin layer of ice upon a deep ocean of chaos and darkness." It is possible that he was commenting on the horrifically violent nature of, so-called, civilized man. It is equally possible he was speaking about the customer service you can expect from Get Moving. Having said that, it is equally possible that Get Moving is an experimental theatre troop attempting to force us to examine our relationship to our own possessions both before and after they are broken.The workers were nice enough and as such I was given to trusting them, perhaps overmuch. In my defense though, I was caring for two young children. My attention constantly split between the movers and my two offspring searching for ways to hurt themselves. I admit that I had some concerns about the way they were handling some of the boxes, that I didn't give voice to. Especially some boxes with the cryptic warning "fragile" inscribed on them. Perhaps if I had, my later interaction with the company would have been different. Perhaps it was a test that I failed. One can never be sure.The next day as I began to unpack I discovered the various broken items. Some were to be expected (wine glasses) others harder to take (large clay Dutch oven). I thought I would let them know I was upset to give them a chance to respond before I wrote a critical review. I understand that these can potentially be bad for business so I thought I was being courteous. This outreach was a mistake, I now know. The response was swift and overwhelmingly negative. This is a group that does not look for nor appreciate criticism. Responses to my concerns were:On treating boxes roughly: 1."no we didn't."2."we don't work like that."3."we had dollies"4."who was it?"5."no we didn't."On breaking stuff:1. "Stuff can break in a move"2. "You didn't pack well."3. "You're acting like someone died"Also: "your apartment was dirty."This is a fair criticism. Our apartment was dirty. I suppose it was so traumatic that it was necessary to break things to work through that emotion.It may surprise you, dear reader, that after being spoken to in a heavily defensive, borderline aggressive way for having the temerity to dislike my stuff being broken, I wasn't keen on having these men visit my home again. You see, after insinuating that I am a liar, they wanted to come see the broken items themselves. No, pictures would not do. Maybe if I held up a dated newspaper it would have been more believable. So, to conclude: As an existentialist comment on the meaninglessness of material goods in the teeth of an uncaring entropic universe, they were top notch. Especially the exceptionally uncomfortable encore. They even went to the trouble to make a couple of extra defensive phone calls harassing my wife for her misgivings as well. Such commitment!As a moving company, I have my doubts.TL;DR? Get moving to a different company if you want decent customer service.
