AMAZING staff, especially Paul!! I've never had a more pleasant experience getting a storage unit. They offer a  truck to use for free when you move in, which put my mind at ease. Thanks again Cube Smart!!!

So you're probably asking "why would a guy ever review a self storage place?".It's a fair question.  There isn't much opportunity to stand out.  It's 4 walls of corrugated metal and a concrete floor.  But experience matters.  And as long as Nancy Gomez works there, the experience is going to be rock solid.Basics:  They say they control the climate (they do).  They say the place is clean (it is).  They say the place is easy to access (it is).  Fair warning:  Over time CubeSmart will not be the least expensive option.  In this neighborhood they are almost full, so not a lot of compromises on rent over time.But they do hire solid people to lay out the why's and how's and to work the best options at your disposal.  Which brings us to experience, and Nancy Gomez.  She was really sharp, and we worked a number of angles when I picked up a second unit.  Even though her corporate office wouldn't compromise on the first unit's rent, I'm sticking with the company on the strength of my experience with her.  Solid place.

Melinda is a really nice property manager. She is very accommodating and helpful. This location is on Rosemeade just south of Midway Rd and the Tollway in Dallas, just south of Plano.  Even though she is very nice and all, it in no way can make up for the RATS I found in my unit. I rented a 10x10 INDOOR, CLIMATE-CONTROLLED unit. I have no food items in my unit but when I went to move out, there were rat droppings and rats running around my storage unit. Not just one...four or five LIVE RATS.  My storage unit was looking like the Secret of NIMH and I ended up having to throw away a lot of personal items that got ruined.  We aren't talking about a location surrounded by fields, we are talking about bustling metropolis.I can't begin to express how appalled I am about it. I informed Melinda and she said that they had rat traps around b/c the rats get into the storage units but that Cubesmart isn't responsible for rat damage.  I could understand if my unit was outside in the elements but for $200/month for an indoor AND climate-controlled storage space, I expected a rat-free environment.  Silly me...So long story short, the storage place knows about the rats but didn't tell me so that I could protect my items AND they say they aren't responsible. Also, for you people saying "you should have gotten renters insurance" - I DO have insurance.  But insurance doesn't cover damage from rats or other animals.Caveat emptor...(buyer beware).  You would be better off going elsewhere - or just lighting your stuff on fire - it would cost less to replace and would provide more entertainment.

I have to be pretty amazed at service to write a review. Paul is an unbelievable manager of this place. I had used it once years ago to store a car so I thought I'd start here again. We were clearing out my son's apartment and needed storage place. I couldn't believe that they offered a truck for the move. It was great, easy to drive, easy to load and clean. Paul even met me before business hours to get the truck so we could complete the move in one day. And then walked out with three cold bottles of water during unloading. He is a gem of a guy. CubeSmart is lucky to have him. I was grateful  for his professionalism and extra effort to make a difficult day a lot smoother. Thanks Paul!

The manager, Paul, is very personable and friendly. Renting the unit was very quick and easy.  All questions were answered promptly. The location is clean and well maintained.  Made our storage and moving experience much less stressful. Would recommend this location to anyone looking for storage in this area.
