Compton Brothers Moving

Initially I was very pleased with Compton Brothers. I was calling around last week before my big move on 8/22 and they were the most friendly and helpful. I believe I spoke with Matt and he was great! I was quoted $80 per hour as they were having a special. They then said that I was scheduled "between 11-2 on Friday" for my 3 hour move. The day before I called to verify timing, that they would have material to pack my TV's and method of payment details. They said check, card or cash was fine. On the morning of my move 11 o'clock arrived and they were no where to be seen. I called and was told that it was a window of time, not my scheduled time with them. So then 2 o'clock comes and they are not there. I called and spoke to Freddy (service manger) to discuss compensation for the delay. Since we would now be driving in rush hour from Keller to Dallas he was willing to give me 45 minutes off. I was appreciative but that wasn't really compensation as that wouldn't have been an issue if they had been on time. I asked for additional compensation and he said "I was putting him in a tight spot." As if them arriving 3 hours late didn't do the same for me? He was willing to take off the $30 travel fee for a total of $90 off. A free hour was enough for me. Luckily we were able to move everything downstairs on our own so it only took an hour to load the truck. We had to help a considerable amount otherwise my 3/4 hour move would have taken 6. Unfortunately one of them was grumpy and rude. They has said they were on their way home when they got re-routed to do my move. I understand that frustration as we waited 3 hours for them to arrive and missed out on our plans as well. Unlike other reviewers they were careful with my belongings and I haven't noticed anything broken yet and the other mover was very pleasant. I give them 2 stars for the compensation.

My experience with Compton brothers started out well they gave me an ok quote ($160) so i booked my move with them June 21, 2014. i continue to call around to see if i could find a better deal because i didn't have that much stuff and it was going to be an easy move. my stuff was already in a storage and then i was going to apartment. i found another company that was cheapter ($130) so i was going to go with them. i called Compton brothers back to cancel and spoke with Steve, Steve asked why was i cancelling and i told him a found a cheaper company, he then asked how much i told him ($130) and he told me hold on then got back on the phone and stated well how does $125 sound, i said great!! he said ok then we will see you on Saturday.Saturday gets here and the movers were lost because he stated they didn't have a gps but i got them there. when i seen these men they were the oldest men ever (grandpa's) right away i started calling Compton brothers because i already knew it would take them forever!!! but no answer from them. my moved started at 1230 and took them until 3pm 2.5 hours which was very ridiculous because like i stated in the beginning i didn't have a lot of stuff and i was moving from a storage. finally when they were done they said it would be $185, i asked where did you get the price from because i was told $125. They man stated this is our price we are just contracted through Compton brothers and we have our own pricing we are called last minute movers. so now you know of course i was hot once again still trying to call Compton brothers no answer meanwhile the man gets his boss on the phone Corey and states how the hell do i get $125 out of the move and he is yelling at me at the top of his lungs. im cool i told him he needs to call whomever at Compton brothers because I'm only going to pay for what i was quoted. long story short i paid and they left. never again!!!!!First thing Monday morning i spoke with Jason the mgr at Compton brothers and told him how highly dissatisfied i was with the company and even more that they fail to explain the important details to me. Jason look into my complaint and left a message stating that the movers said everything went well and i was just unhappy with paying. i continue to call Jason back after he left his message he would not take my calls. Very unprofessional.o yeah they broke stuff and said it was already broken and my furniture is all scratch up. Also, we had to help them.DO NOT use Compton brothers

This is the worst mover's company I have ever seen and lowest reviews on yelp I have ever read. God give them ability to provide customer satisfaction and sense of doing business.

Do not use these people. They will take your stiff. My movers was an oldee guy from new york and a cubb6 guy. I am missing movies, blue ray player, clothes and shoes. Please do not use them

Would give them 0 starts if I could. They did more complaining than moving.  Broke things, lost BBQ parts and when we let them know about it.  They did nothing.  Use Magnificent movers. ..they're great and they hustleand reasonably priced
