Giving 2 stars because the price was ok but the movers did not put together my furniture upon delivery as was promised. They said since they had parked illegally and might get a ticket, they couldn't stay and finish.  They also tried to charge me an extra $100 for some reason that was unclear.  I was ok with the company, even though the furniture was delivered late, until this last part. I emailed the agent I worked with but no response. I also called to complain and another agent I spoke with was polite but then I was put on hold and couldn't wait. Everyone was actually ok to deal with prior to delivery but not finishing the job really ruined my impression of this company.

This company is out there to rip you off. There's a reason why all the ratings are consistently terrible. I couldn't give 0 stars, turn around and run as fast as you can from this scam. Quoted $1000 for move and promised rates are locked. Took an advance of $150 2 months before the move. Just 2 days before the move they called and doubled my price!!!!! Of course I wanted to cancel but not easy 2 days before the move, that seems to be malicious intent. I canceled nevertheless but now they won't refund my deposit. I am going after them with BBB, fraud disputes, and legal disputes.Add to all this, they were perpetually rude during the situation I didn't sense that they were apologetic for the inconvenience they caused us.

This is a scam basically. 1. Movers try to charge you way over your quote on pick up day.2. Horrendous customer service. They lie to you about when your stuff will be loaded.  If you tell them you need your stuff delivered on a particular date, they start working on it 5 days later and then take another 2 weeks, all the while lying to you and telling you its on the way. 3. They know their service is absolutely atrocious but could care less. Absolutely agree with the other yelpers. Someone please shut these people down so they can stop scamming people.

Just don't do it. This place deserves negative stars. I went online to hire some movers because I was moving from Philly to NYC. The representative was super nice and friendly. I asked him if I could get a same day delivery and he said it was def possible. LIES. He quoted me for around 1100 which I was okay with. I put down the 10% downpayment on my card. After packing all my stuff I called back to update the inventory list because I had a few more items which I figured would cost more. I called and he picked up and quoted me 1200-1300...which I was okay with even though I only added like 2 more pieces of furniture but whatever. They called me 30 min before they got to my house ( I appreciated this) and then the nightmare began. They started charging me for like everything. Anything that wasn't padded like a table...they charged me bc they were going to pad it but like I didn't need them to. Literally all my stuff was in ONE spot on the ground floor and they charged me another $75 to bring it up to the truck. Then they charged me like $175 to box my TV like WTF. I was super irritated but I figured okay fine it's a moving company like I figured I just didn't read the fine print and I just really wanted my stuff move. So I took all those extra charges and gave the guy the 70% payment in a check. Upon giving him the check I confirmed I only owed 500 left but then he said they might need to use a shuttle because NYC wouldn't allow trucks.  After loading all my stuff they told me they would deliver it in 4 days....WTF I was super upset because Philly to NYC is like less than 2 hrs and you're telling me you need 4 F***KING days to deliver my stuff. After getting really angry I realized there was nothing I could do about it so again I tried to let it go. Basically I spent a week on an air mattress in my apt because they didn't bring my stuff for like 5 business days. I called customer service...NOTHING. After calling for like 4 hours here and there a lady picked up. I asked her the estimated ETA for my delivery and she started getting angry at me!!!! LIKE IM JUST ASKING A QUESTION. She yelled at me and told me I was calling too soon. I was in shock. I just simply asked you when my stuff would arrive and she yelled at me and told me to call back in 4 days. I CAN'T. Finally I called 4 days later because i didn't want to get yelled at and NO ONE PICKED UP YET AGAIN. At this point I was starting to believe I would never get my stuff and just live like a hobo in nyc. After 5 days they called to say they would be coming and that I owed 900 in CASH because they needed to use the shuttle. At this point I was like I don't even gaf anymore because I just want my stuff. highway robbery. They finally came and then they wanted 1000 in cash becuase there more steps than anticipated. Like Legit I just wanted to rip my hair out. The initial quote is a freaking joke. The number they give you doesn't work. I couldn't find the initial representative. JUST DON'T DO IT. You will be BROKE, SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR, GET YELLED AT, and some of my stuff was missing....Like all I wanted was my stuff moved in a decent amt of time. I wasn't even complaining with the crew regarding price, I just really wanted my stuff. I felt attacked by their "customer service". Worst experience ever. I feel like I'm a really easy person to deal with and they took advantage of me :( I'm pretty sad about the whole situation but I'm really glad I finally got my stuff in the end. This place isn't dependable and will keep adding charges. I have one person's worth of stuff ( I don't even have that much stuff) and it costs $2200 to move it from Philly to a NYC apt. Ridiculous.Side Note: I feel really bad for the actual movers because I know they tried really hard and prob won't be getting the majority of the money I paid to the company.

Currently going through their claims process (to receive the $.60 a pound), and their requirements are ridiculous:-The broken goods cannot be disposed of OR MOVED FROM THEIR DELIVERY LOCATION-Original receipts must be provided-Written notation of damage must be obtained on delivery-All claimed goods become property of the moving company and can be picked up at any time.Have I mentioned that this company should be avoided at all costs?
