what an excellent job these guys have done with my move I move a  lot  a lot and have to say this is by far the best  everything replaced and they even tried helping me hook up my washer and dryer  wrong plug..   but excellent I highly  reccomend them. as i would use them again the way I heard about hem was a living social ..A coupon for the move for three hours  great job..Michael F.

A terrible experience! I moved my stuff from Santa Clara to Houston. While picking up my stuff, the guys [came with a random truck] always wanted more money [for nothing -- there words would be-- if you work with me, we can sort it out] and several times I had to call the contact at back office [which is always hard to reach] to make sure I had included everything in my original request. The worst thing happened when they had to deliver the stuff. The guy came with a huge truck and was unwilling to drive to my apartment. They dumped my stuff right next to a freeway [which is few miles from my home]. I had to call the police to straighten the truck driver's behavior [he was really something to talk to]. At the end, I had to pay another $300 to another moving company to move my stuff to my house.  Also, some of my stuffs were broken from the corners.I recommend people to use other rated companies.

The actual movers were very professional, they did a great job. They get 5 stars. I would use the men that did the physical labor again the future. However, the communication with the office was a bit difficult and somewhat unprofessional. I won't go into all the details because that would take all day but it was pretty bad. For this I'm being kind to rate 3 stars.

Just another update - 3 months after our move I get the below email. Once again - this place is a scam. It may not be worthy of the BBB reporting system, but the quality is so close to making it so. Just for the record "Michelle" below, was the only one who actually answered the phone. Email from the "owner" - mind you this is 3 months AFTER our move and AFTER I had to go the route of disputing the costs w/ my bank because they were of no help. I got 100% refund and not the partial one they are offering below: Start of email: We are sorry to hear of your customer service experience. It is not our company's philosophy to have this level of confusion and we definitely feel horrible for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We appreciate your review and will definitely address those involved to make sure that this does not happen to anyone else ever again. It is important that our customers as well as those like you who are seeking quotes for your move to receive the best and most courteous service possible. We wish you the best in your relocation and again we are deeply sorry for any confusion or frustration you may have had with our office as those issues will be addressed immediately. Finally , all this confused was made by Mrs Michelle and she doesnt work her anymore so please I will like to reimburse some of the moving cost . and please we are small business we cant have negative reviews on yelp if you can drop the review I will really appreciated.  you dont get your groupon money back please let me know .

I have used American Budget Movers twice. I don't have any complaints. They were careful with my items and moved everything.  Both times I was given a two hour window between 8am -10am for the moves to show up. Both times they showed up a little after 10am. Each move I had three movers.  I paid with cash and check.
