If you want children moving your furniture this is the way to go. They broke my furniture, HID IT, and have told me they would reimburse me for the damage but its been weeks and NOTHING! Maybe we can give them another star if they ever pay me back for the damages. If they had been up front about the damages in the first place they would have saved everyone a lot of time. Gil the office manager was also extremely rude and either doesn't know how to speak to women or doesn't know how to speak with a frustrated client both of which are required as part of his job. Absolutely the worst moving experience I have ever had. They are the cheapest because they are the worst. The they sent me a picture from the driver ASSURING me my furniture that they "forgot in the truck" was fine and that they would deliver it to me next week. The picture attached was from the office when they finally figured out was what going on with their own drivers that shows the damage the driver covered up in the first picture. You get what you pay for which is trash.

JUST THE FACTS... The driver of SVJ MOVERS (angry at a honking taxi) threw a plastic bottle that exploded on the car’s windshield. And it typified our experience. I paid $2000 for a one-day move from Phillie to Pittsburgh. It was to be one truck, a simple job. I had family waiting in Pittsburgh at 6 pm. The day started with SVJ MOVERS arriving three hours late. Our furniture was quickly packed in their truck. We were repeatedly asked for tips. But then, to our surprise, another SVJ truck showed up in front of our apartment. We watched furniture being loaded from this second truck onto our truck. [Here is where the bottle was thrown at the honking taxi driver]. The taxi stopped, and a screaming match ensued. Traffic was jammed in two lanes. It lasted 10 minutes. The taxi driver eventually left. But now we had two loads of furniture on our truck (with ours was buried deep inside). I called SVJ Movers to speak with the owner. He wouldn't take my calls. The workers called, spoke to the owner, but still he refused to speak to me. My furniture, now a buried treasure, obligated me to accept the situation. I imagine the owner knew I had no choice. So we left in our car to meet the movers on the other end in Pittsburgh. The furniture arrived the following afternoon. I once more insisted-forcefully demanded- to speak to the owner. But alas, the owner of SVJ MOVERS refused to speak to me (though I watched his workers converse with him on cell phones). The story gets worse here: the SVJ movers were not allowed to unpack without getting full payment. And so, in the end, after many misfortunes, my furniture was held for ransom. I paid in full. I had no choice. There was no concern for missed work, no remorse for delays and never a word of apology. Actually, the workers did apologize. They were decent people. But the owners of SVJ... well, I can only guess by their silence that our inconveniences were of little concern to them. I write this as a courtesy to relay these facts. I can only hope to prevent others from a similar experience. I've never offered a review until this one. In my opinion, this review is a service to the common good.

SVJ Moving was the perfect choice, thanks to their professionalism, timeliness, and thoroughness from the beginning of the booking process until the end. The movers were extremely friendly and efficient in their moving. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to others!The dissembled and reassembled my bedroom furniture, and pre-wrapped all of my furniture to protect it in the move. None of my furniture was damaged.

SVJ Platinum Moving Company is extremely unprofessional. -I received an email today at 9:17am its contents were "We can come out this afternoon/evening but you would have to give us a call as soon possible. "-I called at 11:38am and spoke to Tonee Labell. She told me that was impossible but that there was an opening tomorrow. She said that there was two moves ahead of me and that it would arrive from 3-8pm. She said she had to give me another quote despite sending me one herself. I told her it was fine, but that I needed that slot. She assured me that she would call me back ASAP. -2:29pm I called back because I was getting worried. I spoke to another representative who refused to give me her name. She told me the spot was taken. I told her that Tonee saved it for me. This lady told me that they get many calls every day and that was it. She was very rude. I asked to speak to Tonee, and she said they would get back to me. She would not put me on hold and told me they only do call backs.I have phone records of the phone call times and emails to prove all the quote and given estimate if anyone wishes to see it.Update: 3:20pm I received a call back from the same lady who I spoke to at 2:29pm. She provided her name to me. She said that they now had an opening for tomorrow morning from 9am-12pm. I told them no because I spent the past 40 minutes calling every delivery company possible to get a mover for today/tomorrow. I managed to already get another company for tomorrow 8am. I did not want to screw over my new moving company so I declined the offer. I honestly believe I only got this offer because I complained on social media

My wife and I were trying to figure whether or not to hire a moving company or do it ourselves. We needed to move a couch and a dining room set across town. My wife did quite a bit of research and found that SVJ was the most economical. When my wife contacted their salesperson my wife made it clear that we do not hire anyone without a quote. The woman on the phone was nice and said she emailed it. We never got it. To ensure it did not get caught in the spam filters we gave her two other emails addresses. Again never got anything. Finally, my wife told her to fax it to us. Yup, you guessed it, we never received it. My wife called the salesperson at SVJ and she said don't worry about it we'll take care of you, (essentially saying "trust us"). At that point, I decided to check the reviews on Yelp and as I suspected where there is smoke there is a dumpster fire.... Needless to say, we moved the items ourselves and looks like we saved ourselves a major headache and a bit of money....**17 Mar 17 UPDATE** Okay, shame on me. I forgot put paper in my fax machine. Their fax printed today and it was dated four days before my actual move date. None the less, I still saved $150 by doing it myself....
