We used Superior moving earlier this week to move from our apartment in center city to South Philly. The movers showed up on time and all the guys were very polite and courteous.  No problems there. Problems we had were that they were assigned a truck that was too small to haul everything so we are STILL moving stuff, defeating the purpose of hiring a service. So we had to prioritize during that move what should go since space was limited. Pretty frustrating, since when we scheduled the move we told them of all the stuff that needed to be moved. Other issue is that when they finished at the destination, the lady at the office came up with a final price significantly over our quote. Had to argue with them there in front of the guys, not a comfortably situation. They came up with wrapping fees and a 45 minute travel fee, when they were only going 10 minutes down the road. Still tipped the guys well because it didn't seem like any of the issues were their fault. Make sure your quoted for everything up front and make sure they will provide a truck big enough for everything you tell them you need moved.

Well, decide for yourself if you choose to use them.  We had arranged well in advance for our move, were promised there would be no problems even though we told them that our destination was off a private lane, so access would be difficult.  Took a bit longer than promised to make the delivery and instead of the "box truck" that picked up our furniture, a regular LONG moving van came to deliver.  Obviously could not get to our home, so our only option was an additional $500+ so they could rent a "shuttle van".  After unloading, driver said he verified the count, but the next day we found one box that was not ours, containing an expensive mixer.  I texted the driver, knowing the truck was still in the area, to ask if he would send one of his helpers to retrieve: no response.  Luckily the box had an name and address that helped find the rightful owner, no thanks to Superior Moving.  Then we found furniture legs broken during the move.  We could pursue arbitration for compensation, but would cost more than the furniture damaged.  I SINCERELY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT USE SUPERIOR MOVING, and this company is owned by Tweety Moving, LLC.  Wonder what they are like?

I wish there was a negative rating.  What a shame.  I had a wonderful experience on May 22 when the owner Mark could not do enough to accomodate me on short notice.  Some slight communication issues with the mover and the office but otherwise great experience.  Fast forward 2 weeks, my father passed away and I needed to do a reverse move.  What did they do?  Tried to charge me a higher hourly and travel time THAN 3 WEEKS PRIOR. I was grieving and compromised because I had no energy to argue.I took the time that they gave me 8:00 am trying to be accomodating which had me leaving my home at 6:30 am to rush there and then be told at 8:00 they would be a hour late.  When I called to complain, the guy said he would give me a deal WHICH WAS HIGHER THAN I WAS ALREDY BEING CHARGED.  At this point I left a message for the owner to call.  When the movers arrived their paperwork was incorrect and as soon as I nicely said that I can't sign it because it was wrong he snapped his folder shut and told me I have to get another mover and proceeded to call the office AND LIE about what took place.  He then began yelling at me while on the phone with the office they completely heard.   So once again, I called to ask for the owner and was told he would call "right back"  (still waiting now..its been about 10 days).The move took place and I even tipped the beyond rude and abusive mover (not really sure why) and when I called the office I was told Mark was gone for the day.  Still haven't heard back.  STAY AWAY...this company sucks - theives and liars.  Disgrace.  Repeat customer dealing with a death and treated this way - even in normal times - WILL NEVER USE AND TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW TO STAY AWAY.  If the owner had attempted to call me back I wouldn't even be writing this but you get what you get. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to echo the previous reviews which I unfortunately did not read until after my move.My movers were nice men and good movers, no problems with them.The company however sprung a completely different price based on a fuel surcharge (50 extra dollars) when my move occurred within 2 miles. When I called to complain, they said this was state law and a flat fee. Nothing I have read on the internet shows that to be true. Based on the other reviews I have read, it seems it's their practice to not include this on the estimate and then spring it on the customer. If you decide to use them, get this fuel surcharge included in the quote.  I also plan on bringing this to attention of the Better Business Bureau.

Can I give a negative rating?  There was not one thing that I was promised that was delivered.  The company tried to bilk me out of extra money all day yesterday. The office staff was disrespectful and untruthful.  I spoke to the owner at the end of the day and he was just horrible to me and to the movers he sent to me late and unprepared.  Stay far away from this mover!!!
