So many great things to say about SMP. I'll start this story from the beginning.I was in a bit of a pickle. I needed movers on less than a week's notice (I didn't get confirmation that my apartment application was approved until 6 days before my move in date) to move from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh. The other thing was that Pittsburgh doesn't allow unloading of any kind to occur during rush hour. So many stipulations! But Nate and his team made it work! Nate's team arrived with smiles on a balmy morning ready to go. Each guy introduced themselves and couldn't have been more enthusiastic about the move. They moved everything out of my apartment in Philadelphia and in to my new place in Pittsburgh quickly and treated my stuff delicately. I've heard many stories about people moving and finding their stuff broken. Everything I brought with me is in the same condition I packed it in. Kurt and Tony were the guys in charge of unloading in Pittsburgh and had the task of helping me figure out how to fit my huge bedroom set in to a smaller bedroom. They were super patient and willing to try out a few different things to see how everything would fit. They were also somehow still upbeat despite a 6 hour drive in this heat. In the end I'm happy with how my furniture fit in the new place. Finally, of all the movers I contacted, SMP was the most reasonably priced. I read the reviews and truly thought this company was "too good to be true." Moving is stressful and finding a moving company that gets all of your stuff to the next location safely, at a great price, with friendly staff...well, that's close to impossible. I could never recommend someone as highly as Smooth Moving Pros. They took care of my long distance move from Philly to Florida with such ease. They treated my belongings as their own and were the absolute kindest people I've met. You don't find businesses like them these days. Use Smooth Moving Pros. Tell your friends. I promise, you won't regret it.

We have used SMP twice now. The first time for a move from Baltimore to Philadelphia. The second time for a move from Philadelphia to Atlanta. Both times we had an exceptional experience. I love that a large crew (up to 8 people) was sent out which makes the process of loading and unloading super quick. They moved all the stuff out of our 2 bedroom apartment in under 2hrs and about the same time for unloading. The crew members are very friendly and polite. They take note of fragile items and NOTHING was damaged. The flat rate and competitive pricing are only an added bonus to the exceptional service provided. Would not even consider any other company for an inter-city move.

From start to finish, SMP was awesome. The scheduling was easy (even though I wanted a moving date only two weeks away), and Nate was readily available and clearly communicated the company's services and price. The flat-rate price eliminates the headache of hourly labor rates, and was also cheaper than the rate we had paid for our (less intensive) move two years ago. Day of, the movers were on time, handled our belongings carefully, and were friendly. The SMP team kept our walls and furniture intact (no gouges or scrapes!), and were happy to move items and boxes around as we wanted. They may only offer services for smaller moves (two bedrooms and below, per their website), but if you meet their size cut-off SMP has your moving needs covered. Good price, professional movers, no headaches. Definitely recommended (and we'll be using them when we move again!)!

Like these guys need another perfect review. But I can't help myself.Nate is a top notch businessman (and kudos for being an educator!), and an all-around awesome guy. They moved me from Philly to South Carolina. Super professional, courteous, consistent, and flexible. And fast! They loaded and unloaded in a flash, and were super friendly. Nate answered every little question I had, even after the move was complete. I emailed him over a month after the move. He could've totally brushed me off, but instead was just the most up-standing gentleman and responded instantly, even offering to give me a call to chat further. I wish they were down South so I could use them again for my next move. A+++
