History

Established in 1972. The first Public Storage building opened in El Cajon California, but the new business was only supposed to be temporary. Two partners pioneered the concept as a way to use their real estate investment while they waited for the Southern California community to take off and value of their land to grow. They kept building, and people continued to fill their units. Eventually the pair realized that self-storage was here to stay, and they never looked back.  Today, there are thousands of neighborhood Public Storage locations to choose from, many right around the corner from you.

Moving is never fun, or easy, but my experience today with Public Storage & their manager, Jazmin, was top notch!Quick, easy, and pleasant - this will be my only storage facility from now on.

I rented a unit in between apartment leases, and had a great experience with this Public Storage. I had especially great customer service with a representative named Tiffiny, who was extremely friendly and helpful in getting me set up in my unit.  Unfortunately, the $1 first month's rent "was not available" and my storage unit ended up being fairly expensive for just a month, but I didn't have many options for storing my stuff. Like other reviewers stated here, there are charges for the lock (or provide your own, with a key) and admin fees.I found my unit to be clean, and easy to access (try to get one on the perimeter - otherwise, you might have to drive down an aisle and carry your belongings further down another aisle.)  I did not have any experience with mice, bugs, or weather-related damage.The move out process was also easy and painless.

Nicole was extremely helpful, professional and efficient in what was very emotional situation for me. She put me in the perfect size unit and explained everything thoroughly. My only complaint is a facilities issue: that my Storage unit is rusted out on the bottom, which I will address soon.

It's not the easiest place to find but once you do there is easy access .The young women on duty at the time of my visit were professional, clear and courteous.Price was higher than my printed online confirmation by $35. Due to  a 20. Padlock and tax..

I was assisted by Nicole. She was pleasant and knowledgeable. She showed me the unit and how to access it. She was efficient which I appreciated as I had to return to work. The location is quite convenient to anywhere in CC Phila.
