I am leaving this review for my mother who hasn't stopped talking about these guys since we moved on June 27th. Sam, Ethan, and Alex helped my 50+ year old mother move from our 1st floor apartment to a 4th floor walk up on a sunny Tuesday. Unfortunately, I was at work and missed out on all the fun. When I got home she couldn't stop telling me about how nice they were, how professional, how courteous and polite. Hearts may as well have been popping out of her eyes! We had everything organized and ready to go for them, but these guys went the extra mile by wrapping storage bins and mattress covers in tape for added security. They even removed shelves from my book case and nightstands that I didn't even know could be removed. All these things were packaged neatly together, making reassembly a breeze. They were able to carry multiple boxes at a time and never complained about the heat or all the stairs. They followed my mom's instructions and put everything exactly where we wanted it. None of our furniture nor any of the walls or floors in our new place were damaged during the move.The best part about the whole thing (aside from not having to do it by ourselves) was that the move cost less than they had quoted us. Money well spent. 10/10 would trust them with my move again.

Great guys, fast, gentle, and experienced. I moved from 15th & Spruce to 18th & Lombard, and the 3 guys had my 1 BR apt moved in 1 hr and 45 min. They even fit me in for the 8 am move on a Sunday morning with only 2 days notice! Ironically they were THE ONLY movers available within such a narrow time frame (the place I'd moved into earlier that week had roaches,) so I needed to get out ASAP. They kept telling me to chill out and relax, but I wanted to make sure we were done in 2 hrs (their minimum,) so I helped where I could. For $125/hr including all taxes, travel time, and the moving truck, this was a great deal!My only complaint is that I wanted to tip each of them $20, and I needed change for a $20 bill so as not tip one of them $30, and they all said that they didn't have any change. Turns out that one guy whose name I won't mention did have a $10 but produced it only after the maintenance guy in my apt offered to give us change. Overall, great service and speedy! Highly recommend.

Huge thank you to Bear, Petie, and Phil. These three guys waited almost 2 hours for me to fight through traffic traveling from DC to Philadelphia. Once I got to my apartment they were ready to go and immediately helped me unpack the moving truck and get things placed in my apartment. The work was wonderful, they treated my things with care, had friendly conversations with my family and I, and finished the work early. Terrific business, terrific service. Very happy I choose Old City Movers to help with my move. I will recommend them to all family and friends. Thanks guys!

This is NOT an exaggeration when I say, these guys were the BEST movers we have ever used! Hands down, unequivocally, the BEST! Thank you Ethan, Josh, and Zack for making our move easy and amazing! Here's what I want to emphasize...we called several movers, all with really good reviews. We almost signed with a couple of them but then I read the fine print. They charged for drive time to your initial location and even when they were done they charged up until the time they got back to their location. What?!? Also, other moving companies make you apply for your parking permits. Old City Movers will apply on your behalf. They email you a day or two before your move with the info and you just take it to your police department and they give you the permits to hang. Pretty easy. We were quoted 2-3 hours on the move and they delivered just as promised! They were done in just under 3 hours. Impressive! I've never seen a guy carry 3 huge boxes on his back until this move. I can honestly say, this was the EASIEST move I've ever had. I finally found an honest moving company, yea!!!! 5 stars but worthy of 10!!!
