These guys were great, I made the mistake of waiting till the week of a move out date to try to schedule movers and Lucky Star Movers fit me into their schedule.  They showed up right on time and dove into a job that was a little more involved than they or I expected.They moved a fully furnished 2 bedroom, which involved 2 trips with the truck in about 6 hours, helped re-arrange old furniture for storage at the new location and setup a bedroom.Not a single scratch on anything, the last company we used was twice the price and damaged multiple items.  These guys really care about their work.

I left a simple move to the last minute. I was going from one elevator building to another, but I had to make sure the mover could hit our designated elevator time slots at each building. With only about 3 weeks notice, I called some of the usual names about town, but was told I should have booked months in advance if I needed to book a specific time slot. I turned to Yelp and quickly found Lucky Star. I read all of the 5 star reviews on here with a bit of skepticism, but one quick call and Wiley reassured me that he could help - and at an awesome, straight-forward price.Wiley and Paul showed up right on time, whipped out some dollies and blankets, and got right to work. We were out of the first building in under an hour, and all done with the complete move in less than two hours. I've had some bad experiences with movers in the past, up-charging for fragile / glass items or wrapping items in blankets. Wiley and Paul were a dream. On-time, fast and a straight-forward, up-front price.Oh, and just a note to the skeptics. Wiley doesn't ask for these 5 star reviews. He made no mention of Yelp to me at any time. He just earns these! Don't think twice, book Lucky Star.

These guys are fantastic - professional, friendly, efficient. They showed up after what sounded like a very busy day and promptly got to work with a complicated move that my girlfriend and I had across town. Reasonable rates and very flexible. Would absolutely hire them again in a heartbeat and would definitely recommend them to all my friends.

Wiley and his team were absolutely phenomenal. They were extremely efficient and excellent movers - all of my stuff made it from Philly to NYC without a dent. Their flat rate pricing was great too- you know exactly what you're paying, and you don't make any payment until everything is delivered to your apt (and it's a great deal too!). Highly highly recommend these guys!!!

Though a bit belated, I have received a very heartfelt apology from the owner, Wiley, of Lucky Star Movers. He apologized and explained, without making an excuse, what happened very specifically. He says that he has reworked his business model, and I believe that his apology was very sincere. I would consider giving him another shot. Everyone makes mistakes, and I hope that my mishap was a one time thing. His rates are extremely reasonable, and the local cooperative is a majorly good thing to have in the city.
