Isaac`s Moving & Storage

We just used Isaac's for a move from a condo in Philadelphia to a house in the suburbs of Philadelphia, a move that required 2 nights of overnight storage on the truck due to timing of our settlements. We originally chose this company as they were one of only two movers that we could even get a hold of/get a response from, however Isaac's was fantastic from the estimate process straight through to the end. Our movers (we had 3) were amazing - they were incredibly professional and very friendly. We have some large, more expensive pieces of furniture, and not one thing was damaged in the move (not even the cheap, flimsy furniture). One large piece required me to sign a waiver acknowledging that it could potentially scrape the wall, as our staircase had a turn in it, however not one wall was damaged because the guys took great care. I would highly recommend Isaac's to anyone, and it was the best money we spent during the moving process!

Excellent moving company. Would highly recommend! The men were professional, quick and on time. They went the extra mile and even fixed my bed! The individual who scheduled my move paid attention to detail and made sure they had all my inventory information prior to the move. The cost of the move was higher than expected, but they made my moving experience a less stressful one. Will be using this company again during a second move.

I see that there are a lot of very poor reviews, but my experience was excellent. The two guys that came to pack my furniture did a great job, where very neat and handed everything well. I was moving from an apt on the second floor so they had to carry everything down the steps (the building is at least 50 years years old so the stairs are narrow). They handled the paperwork quickly and were very nice. All my boxes and furniture arrived on the other side (from maryland to florida) in good condition except a dresser that had a small whole in the back (not too bad). The two guys at the destination were quick and on time. Only downside, it took 12 days to deliver. It was in their timeframe, just took a while.

From top to bottom, I found everyone at Isaac's to be very professional and gracious, from the administrative personnel to the supervisor of the movers and the movers themselves.  But what deserves high praise was how Isaac's dealt with mistakes and mishaps, which happens in every business, and how the company resolved these issues and provided with excellent customer satisfaction.  There was an accident on the job by one of the movers, who cut his hand and there was unfortunately blood smatterings about a sectional.  Isaac's sent someone to remove the stains within 2 days, but, it only removed 60%.  They could have stopped there, but they did not.  Isaac's went the extra mile to provide superior customer service.  They called another company, three hours from my home and he arrived days later.  This time all the stains were removed 100%!The second thing that happened was that when I moved in, I asked the crew to leave many items in the boxes.  After some days, I realized the burden and difficulty it would be for me to remove the debris and do it all myself.  So, Isaac's sent back a crew of 3 men, a second time, three hours away and they unpacked and took away all the debris.  The crew treated my things as if it were their own.  They were polite, respectful and worked very efficiently in the most professional way.My experience was sensational and I would highly recommend them for anyone who needs a top-notch company to do their move.  I greatly appreciated that they went the extra mile and now they have a satisfied customer for life.Thank you Isaac's.

When we moved cross country to Philly we used Atlas Van Lines but thought for a local move we could use a local company. We did NOT have a good experience with Isaac's.  There were 3 young men assigned to job.  While they were capable to carry boxes, they were not trained to manage large furniture.  All of our dressers and tables have damage of varying sorts. These guys were exhausted at the destination and left items that they disassembled at our first location incomplete at the second location. They kept asking, with hope in their eyes, if I wanted x,y,z taken to the basement at the second location.  They looked crushed when I confirmed that I did.  They asked for water at both locations, I felt like a jerk for not being a good hostess. Do you know how hard it is to find drinking cups during a move?  My whole house was packed. I don't want to feel like a jerk for a service I paid for.I wasn't able to submit our claim within the 10 days allowed but the corporate office offered an adjustment of 10% of our moving costs.  Our policy was only written for $0.60 per pound, their recommendation - Obviously I wouldn't know where to begin on the weight:value ratio of our belongings. Our claim contact assured me we probably wouldn't have received much more even if I could have filed our claim on time, very disappointing.Overall I'm very disappointed and have damage to manage without matching funds to repair appropriately. If you decide that you need to use Isaac's, my recommendation is to get the most insurance you can on your belongings.  In the future I'll be going back to Atlas Van Lines.  The movers were professional, physically strong, fast and gentle with our belongings. 2 Atlas movers did more in the time 3 Isaac's movers did, and moved us 2200 miles with no damage at either location.  Too bad I didn't read these other reviews before we trusted our whole lives to Isaac's.
