A good friend of mine was moving from Newark, NJ to las Vegas, NV. We did some research and came across Unlimited. We had a fantastic experience! They were speedy with the quote, on time for the move, and didn't waste time getting here. The staff we spoke with was friendly and answered every question we had. Admittedly my friend had his concerns as to wether his tuff would arrive in the condition it left. Everything showed up just fine and in the same condition as when it was packed up. They took extra care with his antique dining room table and brought along plenty of furniture covers for everything. The movers were polite and took the time to help set up some of the furniture and even were patient when he had them move items several times to different rooms. This was a fantastic experience and we highly recommend them for anyone moving long distances!

This was the worst moving experience I could have ever imagined, and then some. I looked at bad reviews and went with them anyway because they were so much cheaper but DO NOT DO IT. They increase their estimate upon arrival and I spent 40 minutes haggling with them to get back to a somewhat reasonable price. The men yelled at me, shook papers in my face and threatened the leave the job because I wanted proof that my stuff really took up so much space (once we used a tape measure, it proved I was right and shaved off 100 cubic feet from the estimate).Okay, that aside, they got my stuff, but it took them way longer than it should have. I kept trying to help them - give them tips about the best way to disassemble furniture, etc. - but they would literally yell at me to stop helping. They took forever. Then my stuff showed up and EVERY single piece of large furniture was broken. I mean every - the top of bracket to my bed frame that connects the foot board to the headboard was sheeted off; the front of my antique dresser (that's been moved 11 times with nary a scratch) was snapped off; the support to the left of my coffee table also ripped off; the keyboard to my nice wooden desk totally ripped out (one of the things I tried to tell them to disassemble but they wouldn't listen); lost screws to my dresser that I tried to keep myself so they wouldn't lose them and they yelled at me to let them keep them; scratched dining room table, broken plastic bins...This was literally the worst experience moving I've ever had (third partial or cross country move; sixth move overall) and I would never wish this experience on anyone. I created a yelp account just to express how much this boiled my blood. Never ever use them.

Bottom-line, this company will grossly under-quote you and then treat you horribly for bringing it to their attention. To put in exact terms, I was given a binding quote of $1200. Once my movers arrived (five hours later than scheduled), the cost became $2100. I had all standard items (boxes, a full size bed and a vanity) and respected my inventory list.Yes, there are 2 good reviews on Yelp but take your Google search one step further and you'll find more of my story from several others. This company wants quick money. Could care less about what their customer thinks (and probably says) about them thereafter. I tried to voice my complaints. I call and wrote a letter. I did this after speaking to KEVIN  - he yelled at me and made me feel very uncomfortable after I explained that I was not happy with his under-quote. That, along with the fact that my movers arrived 5 hours after the scheduled pick-up window of 8am - 11am. I "should have known better to have plans at all" on the evening of my (scheduled morning) move. He shouts at you; doesn't allow you speak. Same experience with CHRIS THE OWNER- when I finally got him on the phone. The end result: he sarcastically (and very intentional in tone) said "thank you for your insights" and essentially defended everything that KEVIN did and treated me similar to KEVIN with his raised voice/talking over you. He dismissed all of my complaints. Basically telling you they aren't valid. Therefore, since my complaints are not valid with UNLIMITED VAN LINES - its owners and employees - I decided to voice my complaints on YELP to deter anyone from doing business with this horrible company. The fact of the matter is,  you're going to spend a lot of money moving cross country anyway - at least do it with an established company that cares about how its customers feel about their experience.

If I could give negative stars I would. The WORST moving experience of my life.  These people are crooks- don't work with them if you can help it.Here sums up my moving experience.  I booked my move with a different company who guaranteed on the phone the move out and move in dates.  I was moving across the country for work, and very excited.  I paid the company and was instructed to pay a small amount more on the day of the move.  I took the day off of work to be there for the move, expecting the movers in the morning.  As the day dragged on I had no phone calls or anything explaining time frame.  The around 2:00 I get an aggressive phone call stating that the movers will be there soon and that the driver had tried calling me the night before and that my phone was busy.  Funny I have a cell phone and this was the first time I saw the call.  I had very few things to move and was already instructed on the price.  Unlimited shows up and the movers say its going to be more money.  Crooks!!! I had to move out THAT day so I ended up paying more.  They took advantage of my need to start my move.  Fast forward to my move- and here is where the problems really started.  I was assured that my things would already be in transit when I called with the final address of my apartment.  I called as soon as I found my apt to expedite the move.  The lady operator took my information and hung up quickly.  I called 2 days later for the status of my things and she said it had not left the warehouse due to them not having the address...the same woman I spoke to two days ago who took down my address.  2 weeks later my stuff still had not shipped.  I called every couple of days to see what was going on as it was 2 weeks after the guaranteed delivery date.  The female operator "Sarah" got nasty with me and stated that "Arizona is the most difficult state to ship to" and that I had to wait.  I was sleeping on a blow up mattress eating sandwiches every day on paper plate and spending money on blankets and towels due to their incompetence.  If they could not done move they shouldn't of taken the job.  Finally last phone call to the company we said we would sue and that got things moving...so 1.5 months after the pick up of my things I have to call the company to find out what day is expected to arrive.  No phone calls were ever received from the company and no one would give me a definite date which resulted in me missing 2 days of work.Delivery: biggest nightmare of my life.  I was to pay a final amount on delivery that was in the contract.  The movers show up and tell me that I need to pay more money again bc their truck was too big to get into my complex.  I said absolutely no way bc the truck could get in to the surrounding street and they could carry the few boxes in.  A phone call to the cops later, and when they showed up agreed that the truck could park on side street.  Either way they were hoping to steal more money from me so unlimited was not happy that the cops were there.  Sarah calls me and gets really nasty with me and asks why I called the police "for show".  Funny how the police showing up stopped them from asking me for more money.    They said they would come back in smaller truck two hours later... And show up 12 hours later with my boxes broken things missing glass wear shattered.  Really horrible people.  I'm still waiting for my legs to my $1000 dollar table.  Don't be fooled by their website of "family friendly" movers.  This was not my first move, but defiantly the worst experience of my lifeAVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

In July, we contacted Unlimited Van Lines Inc. via phone for the move of a 3 bedroom house from Newton, MA to Durham, NC.  We clearly requested packing and the extent of our house contents.  Kevin Cohen was our rep.  He declined to actually visit the house and see our belongings.  He insisted that the written estimate of $2,240 would be fairly accurate.  He sent an agreement and we signed it.On August 15, just two days before we were scheduled to leave MA, the movers arrived and informed us that the price we were quoted did not include packing.  After calling Unlimited we were told that based on the "misunderstanding" and the fact that the written estimate was "not clear if packing was included" we would not be charged for this service.  However, after our goods were packed and loaded on their trucks, we were told that based on the quantity of belongings (the same list we told Kevin Cohen) the move was now going to cost a total of $11,172.  Under duress with our imminent move, and having no alternative, we paid the charge. After the truck arrived in NC on August 20, there was damage to a dining room chair and other items that were thrown into boxes rather than being properly packed and transported.  We contacted Unlimited.  I spoke with Layla Moore and another manager Sarah Campbell.  Their excuse was that Kevin Cohen was no longer with the company.  In the interest of moving on, I proposed a compromise, to settle at $6,950. Sarah Campbell said that our suggestion seemed reasonable.   After multiple follow-up calls. we were told their boss (unnamed) would only agree to a $250 refund, which we rejected, and zero compensation for damage.
