Two Men and a Truck Livingston

Two men and a truck helped me move this past weekend. I called a few weeks ago and set up the appointment over the phone with Stephanie. She was very helpful in answering my questions, and gave me a fair estimate. After getting wild quotes from at least 7 other movers, Stephanie was extremely open and honest about their pricing, and it was a fair quote. I gave my credit card to hold the reservation, and I had up to 24 hours before the day of the move to cancel it. They sent me a few emails, one was the pre move in letter with the estimate, the time estimate, and a pre moving check list.Fast forward to the day before the move, I called to confirm the reservation, and Stephanie confirmed everything for me. The next day, (the day of the move), I'm expecting them to come between 1:30-3:30, and the move was estimated to take 3 hours. It's about 2:30 and I finally get a call from one of the drivers, Timothy, who says they're stuck in traffic and they're about an hour and 45 minutes away. Annoying, but what could I do? They were stuck in traffic. I get a call around 5pm from Dan, another employee at the company, who said he's actually going to come in a van and assess how much he can do for me before the other guys get there.Dan ends up taking down all of my boxes by himself (about 15 boxes), and I felt pretty bad that he didn't have any other guys there to help him, he was doing a two man job by himself. He was in constant contact with Timothy (the man driving the truck), and they were still another two hours away. He suggested we go drop off all the boxes at the storage unit (5 minutes away from the apartment) and by the time we get back to my apartment, the men with the truck should be there to help move the big pieces of furniture. When we got back to my apartment, the men in the truck were there (Timothy and Bernardo), and got straight to work wrapping my couch, dresser, nightstand, and taking down my mattress and box spring. I have a huge couch, about 90 inches, and had warned Stephanie on the phone, as well as the guys to please not scratch the walls on the way out, as a different moving company did scratch my walls getting the couch INTO the apartment. They did an EXCELLENT job getting everything out without a scratch, and although the company is called "Two men and a truck", after my fiasco I ended up with three men, a van and a truck. We didn't finish the job until 8:30, but all in all once the two original movers showed up, it took them an hour and a half to do the job. They gave me a discount because of the inconvenience, and I will definitely be using them again to move them from my storage unit to my new apartment in June.

These guys are nice, but lack efficiency, management and experience. If you still use them (which we never willagain) do not hire them for packing as they take forever and are unorganized. The two guys that packed for us were very nice, but didn't seem to know what they were doing and unpacking has been an adventure. In addition, make sure you purchase the highest level of insurance for your property. They badly broke two important items of our furniture.UPDATE: below is a note indicating that a solution has been reached. Please note that I am not aware of any satisfactory solution, despite discussions with their office, and remain extremely unsatisfied and disappointed with this company In that they have not provided quality service.

I was very satisfied with my cross country move using two men and a truck. My goods arrived in 24 hours, and we were expecting it to take two days. So we were pleased with that, and they kept us informed about the early timeline so there were no surprises. They also sent four men to help with the unloading which pleased us immensely. The emptying was done in no time and our goods were not damaged. We would use this company again for a move. We purchased boxes pre-move from them, and they deliver the products free to your door (you pay for the boxes) and whatever boxes you don't end up using you get credit back. Friendly workers also.

Two Men and a Truck Livingston helped me with a small move in June. I was able to make an appointment quickly without a lot of advance notice. The movers arrived on time, were very professional, and wrapped up the furniture really well. They were efficient, yet careful during the whole process. I think the price was reasonable, an hourly rate, and the quote I received over the phone was on par with what I wanted to spend. Would use again, if I ever have to move!
