Left Hanging. LITERALLY. On the morning of my move to New Jersey from the bronx, 3 movers showed up, 30 minutes late I would like to add, with a 16 foot box truck. Prior to their arrival, pictures of the major furniture were sent by request to their customer service representative for their assessment of the move. I agreed to pay $135 an hour for the 3 movers and left my deposit. Upon their 30 minute late arrival, the movers walked into apartment, looked at the furniture and said immediately they have to make multiple trips. Multiple trips to New Jersey from the Bronx ? Did they not assess the furniture before? Why did they only bring a 16 foot Box truck for a move? Then we were unprofessionally told that if we didn't want to pay $135 per hour (inclusive of their multiple trips!), we would have to pay a $1600 flat rate and they would continue do the move, however long that would take of course. When those terms weren't agreed too, the 3 movers got in the truck and drove away! We made several attempts to call their customer service number 718 412 8888. Good luck getting someone to answer that number. Just press #1 and be patient. When we finally got someone on the phone, they told us we didn't clarify all the furniture that we had, even though pictures of everything that was going, were sent prior to the move. Upon asking to speak to a supervisor, we never got a clear answer, and it seemed like no one wanted to transfer an upset customer to a supervisor. Once again, we were given the same options, to either pay $135 per hour (inclusive of their multiple trips!) or pay a $1600 flat rate and they would continue do the move. How is it the customers fault that the truck they came with was not big enough for the move? We provided all the necessary information required for assessment prior to the move and they took it upon themselves to show up with a 16 foot box truck, as it appears to gain more money out of the move. When the terms that were agreed with upon payment of the deposit, were changed last minute on their part, we canceled the move all together and asked for a refund. They offered no other options. Not to mention, the movers had left us prior to us even gaining a representative on the phone. On the day of the move, with everything packed, this company is a mover's WORST CHOICE. Please shop around.

Felt compelled to write a review of Twin Brothers Movers. They just moved my stuff from Harlem to my new East Village apartment. I'd completely recommend Twin Brothers Movers. Sounds like a commercial, but it's totally true: They're everything you'd want from a moving company.In preparation for my move, I reached out to eight different moving companies.  Twin Brothers was BY FAR the cheapest.  They showed up on time, charged me exactly what they said they would, and they even did a great job packing my dishes and other breakables.  They delivered everything directly to my new apartment, and nothing was broken.I'll use them next time I have a big move.

GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH TWIN BROTHERS MOVERS!!!Moved last week with this company I was so pleasantly surprised. I dreaded the idea of moving from one crowded NYC area to an even more crowded one, but these movers made it so easy. Sven and Mike came exactly on time, worked extremely quickly and diligently and were so polite. They wrapped everything and only disassembled the items that didn't fit through the door. It was pouring rain almost the entire time, nevertheless all my items were still dry and undamaged and the guys didn't slow down for a second! This moving experience totally changed my previous notion of NYC moving companies. I highly recommend this company!

The one star would be zero if I could after I have been dealing with the customer service. I moved from a one bedroom alone into a 2 bedroom with a friend, I had 3 guys come to move  me two blocks and it took approximately 6 hours from start to finish. The guys I had were ok but proceeded to call me and ask for a tip on my personal cell after taking longer than expected  (I tipped $50 per person) as well as asking for me to provide them with dinner after I had already grabbed them gatorades/waters/snacks for helping out. All that would be fine were it nor for the fact that my TV was cracked upon the move and the company offered $60c per pound to replace (between $12-20). If you are moving just furniture and clothes these guys will be fine, if you want anything of value to be moved I would try someone else (and not be out close to double what you spent to purchase a new item).

Just had a very positive experience with their service. I have moved a lot in the last few years and I can say I had so much of shit to pack into boxes and these guys came in right in time and started moving my boxes following by furnitures and etc. They wrapped all the valuable furnitures neatly and carefully took them down 3 flights of stairs. The apartment I moved has an elevator and it was very easy for Fred and his team to move my stuff into the elevator building. This company has the best customer service, friendly staff, very efficient and careful movers that you can rely on. They charged me on a hourly basis and it only took them 3 hours to complete the move at a very reasonable price. I will definitely use their service and recommend to my friends who needs help move.
