I only gave this company one star because zero was not an option.  Absolutely the most horrific experience we have ever gone through!  Everything you read in all of these reviews are true.  We were quoted under a different company name who had great reviews.  Then the paperwork came with the Reliable Transportation One name on it.  We too were quoted a certain price for our move...I literally gave Tyler all the items and then some to accurately quote our move so we would know we would be covered.  We were told all our packaging would be covered in the quote however, we had most of our items packed.  I had to go out of town for business the day of the move so my husband had to deal with them.  Initially, we were met with an increase in fee of $1400!  WTF!  And, they said they were going to charge extra for everything they needed to pack or wrap!  We were immediately  sent to Dave in NY and he said that he would waive the packing fees (we were quoted no packing fees so what are you waiving) however, we would have to pay the additional money and they wanted cash!  We told them that we would find another option.  Then when we did this they said that they would take our debit card.  In a panic again, we looked at the reviews from the company name they originally gave us, reviews were great so we moved forward.  In addition, Mike assured us that he would personally monitor our move and ensure everything was delivered safe and secure! Note:  They showed up with a truck that barely fit our stuff in it.  They then told my husband that they would be moving all our stuff off this truck to another.  This seemed very odd!On the day of delivery - NIGHTMARE!!!  They were lost however, the people on the truck spoke Farsi so there was no way we could communicate with them.  We tried every number we had, Mike, Dave, Tyler all of whom were unreachable for hours.  We were finally able to get Tom on the line and he spoke to them and we were demanded to give cash to the folks we could not communicate with or they would take our stuff. We gave them the cash and the unload process started after an hour and a half of basically bickering.  Then they had the gaul to tell us to calm down because nothing was going wrong!!  When the movers started unloading, they smelled like rotten animals...it was very off putting.  They could not communicate with us so they just threw our boxes where ever they could find a spot.  Things marked fragile were smashed and tipped over, things marked this side up were upside down.  EVERY SINGLE ONE OF OUR BOXES THAT DID ARRIVE WERE DAMAGED AS WELL AS THE CONTENTS INSIDE.NOW, TO THE BEST PART!  1/4 OF OUR SHIPMENT WAS MISSING!!  I have each tax year separated in annual boxes marked with the year.  In addition, for ease I put everything that happened in that year inside each designated box.  These were ALL MISSING!!  13 years of my kids school, graduation, college diplomas, photos, wedding photos, tax info, our medical records, etc. were all contained in these boxes!  Worst day of my life!  Then, all of my husbands brand new in boxes wedding gifts were all missing!  We lost 90% of our tools, expensive furnishings to just hit the high points.  We called everyone on our list and no one would respond.  Finally, Tom said that our stuff was just gone!  He had no idea how this happened as it "has never happened before"  (was said by both Tyler and Tom) So, Tom said to send him a claim form...we detailed as much stuff as we could and he said they would get on it.  NO RESPONSE since and our move was the end of May, 2017 - I THINK WE SHOULD ALL GET TOGETHER AND FORM A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THIS COMPANY.  IT SEEMS AS IF STEALING IS THEIR MOTIVATION FOR MOVING PEOPLE.  IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS COMPANY PLEASE TAKE THESE REVIEWS SERIOUSLY.  THEY ARE SCAMMER, WILL STEAL YOUR STUFF AND YOU WILL NEVER HEAR FROM THEM AGAIN!!

Most of which never showed up & what did not only was it late but what did show up was broken , boxes that were taped & shrunk raped were cut open & cut down the sides pulling items out . These guys won't return my calls so thank god I still have all their texts emails phone calls saved after not hearing back from them today I turned them into the BBB & action has already been taken & in process already , I told them when they were giving me the runaround I'm the last person they want to screw over bcuz of my family now they will know 1st hand . I will post pics of my boxes as they came off the truck with witnesses next to me looking saying wtf . They have no regard or care for your stuff & will always make some thing up . I was even told 1 time tom is in church over a text ok then how & why would he keep texting me if he's in church for 6 hours .

This is the worst company I have dealt with in my entire life. Mike quoted me a move from my mothers house in California to where I live in Washington, DC for $1,425. I was told my items would arrive in 7-10 days and that they would throw in free protection for my glass dining room table top. I texted Mike with the date/time to come pick up the items from the storage unit. They were 4 hours late to pickup the items. Mike said he never told me what time he would be there (so I guess his "awesome, see you soon" text meant nothing). Did he expect my uncle to sit and wait with no timeframe to work with? No apologies, all excuses. It ranged from "we did not confirm the exact time to there was traffic". Basically, they showed me they are actually UNreliable transportation. It gets worse. They told me that I need to pay more (for the items I quoted them by phone) because they go by cubic square feet and the price was an estimate they quoted me. I told them I am not paying anything more than what we agreed to. They finally put (most) of the items on the truck. And, the driver called asking me for my delivery address. What? Why doesn't he already have this? Clearly, I already gave all these details but I give it again. It gets worse. They are UNreliable, remember?7-10 days come and go. Its day 19. Its day 21. Where is my cargo? I am told they have 18 days to give me my items and by law have up to 30 days. WTH! Why am I calling them each day to get updates? Tom refers me to the contract- what contract? All I have is the original document with the cost and the list of items involved in the move. After 21 days, he sends me the contract my uncle (in California) signed. Now, a third party calls me telling me it will be another week (after 21 days had past). No!! It gets worse. They are UNreliable, remember? The third party tells me I need to pay an additional $400 for a shuttle to get my items to my house in DC. What? I call to talk to the manager (who, by the way, is always at lunch or just left when I call). I am told I have two options, put my items in storage (at my own expense) and get my items on my own later OR pay the $400 for them to transfer my items from one truck to a smaller one. Why are they just now telling me about this? Why did they not include this detail in the estimate? After lengthy conversations, Tom, offered to pay $100 of the fee given all the hassle I have undergone thus far. So, I pay the EXTRA $300 with one day's notice and the third party tells me to use a money order and to keep it blank. I asked what the company's name is so that I can fill in the money order, he grabbed it and put it in his shirt pocket, saying "don't worry about that". Sounds shady to me. How does 300 cubic square feet of stuff costs $400 to take from a truck in MD to DC? Lies. Such a scam. This explains why he wanted a blank money order and the receipt he gave me didn't include the extra $300 I gave him. He only added it in pen because I insisted having a record of it. As the movers pulled the items off the truck, they shared that my glass table top for my dining room table was in pieces. They asked me if I still wanted it or if they should just move to the trash. WHAT!!? It was literally uncovered- no moving blanket or free box that Mike had promised on my so-called contract. This 40 pound glass table had a bed sheet on top of it (one my uncle put on it). It was in 3 parts. My mothers antique dining room chairs were ruined. One was completely snapped in half and the other severely cracked. I had 12 boxes of glassware, ceramics, chandelier, and other fragile items shipped, and because my cousin packed those, there were minimal damage (one ceramic spoon, one glass basket). All the things the company were responsible for packing was broken (glass table, a statue and candlebra they told me they would put in complimentary boxes- all in pieces) because they were not placed in anything other than a sheet my uncle placed them in). The 4 chairs had moving blankets on them but two of them were mishandled and broken in half/cracked. It gets worse. They are UNreliable, remember?I send pictures of everything to their "claims" department (which is one person who never responded to my email and after 30 days has yet to share the status of my claim). Tom emailed me today after I talked to him 4 hours earlier, telling me they would send me a check for $150 (0.60 per pound). First of all, my move was more than 250 pounds (my china cabinet alone weighed up to 100 pounds) and why did they make me wait 30 days to tell me this? This is so insulting and beyond unprofessional. My mother passed away and these items are sentimental, so their value is priceless. The fact that they are offering $150 when they did not protect my glass table top, broke two chairs, cracked a statue, and damaged at least 7 other items. I am willing to overlook these items if they cover my glass table top. But then again, they are UNreliable, remember?

THIS COMPANY WAS TERRIBLE. First off, they were suppose to come get our stuff between 9-10am. They arrive at 4:45pm. I called and spoke to someone who said they were in charge, and he promise me some discount. I called back when the workers arrived, all of a sudden he is not there, and the person who answered said they can't honor anything. He has a serious attitude, and would not admit that they were wrong for having me waiting hours. Next we called again to get our refund back and the supervisor got mad and hung up the phone. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE. I deal with costumers daily and this was the most Un-proffesional company I ever dealt with.

This company sucks! Unprofessional dishonest and the worst business I've ever dealt with in my 40+ years of life! My furniture was lost after waiting almost three months we were delivered the wrong furniture and then after two more weeks our furniture arrived out nowhere! No heads up whatever! We had missing furniture broken furniture and no one knows ANYTHING! Please do not go with this company PLEASE?!!! I am still trying to retrieve my lost items and compensated for my damages and still getting lied to. Not a good company. This company is located in New York and San Diego both are not good at follow through or telling the truth.
