Used Pioneer for my move from Michigan to NJ and was so pleased with their service. They were very professional and handled all my moving needs in a quick matter. I've dealt with many moving companies in the past & I must say this one is hands down the best. I will be using them in the future and will recommend them to all my friends & family. Thank you for making my move so stress free!

Dealing with Pioneer has been one of the WORST customer experiences I have had. This review is a bit long, but please read it before investing your money in a mover. I recommend looking elsewhere for moving help. It is not worth the headache - find someone else! They are very hard to get in touch with, rude, and they make promises that they cannot keep. 1) On pickup date, the movers arrived at 5PM, 4 hours after they were scheduled. My freight elevator closes at 5, so I had to pay a building fee of $160 to keep it open. I was told via my contact at Pioneer that I would be reimbursed. However, once my furniture was in storage, my reimbursement claim was declined. The company claimed that my contact had no authority to agree to reimbursement (how was I supposed to know that at the time?). After going back and forth, they are now saying they can resubmit the claim if I give them a more detailed invoice, even though I have already sent them the only receipt my building can provide (this is after 3 months of trying to get reimbursed).2) After storing my furniture over the summer, I called Pioneer more than a week before I needed my furniture, and they told me that it could be delivered on Friday, Aug 26. I called 3-4 more times over the next several days to confirm the date, and each time I was told that I was scheduled for that Friday delivery. On Thursday the 25th, I got a call in the afternoon saying my furniture would be delivered on Saturday the 27th at 6am... Unfortunately my new building does not accept move-ins at that time and I had set up my entire schedule expecting a Friday delivery. After a conversation with the manager, she guaranteed me delivery in the morning Saturday between 8-10AM. I made it clear I had to have it at that time because I had a train leaving that afternoon. On Saturday, the delivery did not occur until 2, and I had to pay $150 to change my train. Now Pioneer is saying that they never guaranteed me that time, and even if they did, that oral guarantees are just estimates (apparently they are right; it is written as such in the back of the contract. However, it is still dishonest to guarantee someone a time without explaining that it is just an estimate). They will not refund me the fee for the train ticket I had to pay. They claim they never used the word guarantee on the phone, which is false. 3) I have had to call them countless times to try and discuss my situation, with no call backs. One time I was left on hold for 45 min until I was cut off because the company closed its phone systems at 6pm. Other times I have been given the runaround or told they are too busy to speak with me but would call me back (which they almost never did). 4) Several pieces of furniture were scratched or damaged. One piece didn't even show up. One of the delivery guys even made a comment that my furniture hadn't been wrapped appropriately when it was picked up. When a piece of my TV stand was missing, the movers implied that I was lying and had never sent it for storage. They later found it in another box. 5) They didn't allow me to confirm the cubic feet they were charging me on so my final bill was significantly higher than my initial estimate. Yes, my list changed a little bit with some small items, but some of the bigger items I had initially included I ended up not needing to ship (such as my couch). Seems strange that my initial cubic feet estimate was way lower than what I was charged for. More so, it is frustrating that I could not verify the cubic feet myself to make sure I was charged correctly.6) There is something strange going on with their reviews/testimonials. I have seen word for word the exact same testimonials posted for other companies (I highly doubt that is a coincidence). I have also seen people who are claiming to use Pioneer write a review under one name, and then write another 5 star review for another moving company under a different name but with the same profile picture. Some of these people review 3-4 moving companies in a month period, and I can't imagine they used all 4 of them to move in a month period. I am not saying the reviews aren't real, but something here doesn't seem to fully add up. On a positive note, they did include a few months of free storage with my quote which was a nice perk. Overall, not nearly enough to make up for all of the issues I have dealt with. I can understand that the logistics of moving companies are difficult to plan and that unexpected things can happen on the road. What's frustrating is how instead of being upfront and honest with you about what is happening, they mislead you and then claim they never said certain things.

DONT USE THIS COMPANY!! Scammers!!I never write reviews about companies - but I have been so messed around by this company moving company others need to know what they getting themselves into! There a few things the salesman John told me on the phone. 1) 'the price is binding'! Lies!! As soon as they arrived at my flat they started saying I would need to pay extra! At that point I was stranded as did not have enough time to find another moving company. That's what they bank on! That know you have run out of time and you forced to use them even though you now forced to pay more. 2) 'We are not one of those companies that will start charging you extra when we arrive at your house!' Lies - that's exactly what they did. 3) 'FULL packing service' what a jock of a statement on their contract. I'm not 100% sure what full means to you? But FULL packing service to me means they will pack all my stuff and packing material is included! They wanted to charge me an additional $580 for packing materials. It was laughable what they wanted to charge me! For example $85 to wrap my TV! They said they made a box for it? Let's me tell you what making a box it to them. Cutting up an existing medium size box and covering the top edges of the TV with some blankets. I've added a picture of what 'making a box' is to this company. Laughable! Then they did the same thing with my mirror - wanted to charge me an additional $35 to wrap the mirror!! Ummm the mirror only cost $19 - why would I pay $35 to get it wrapped up in blankets and a make shift cut up box? There more example of what a joke that FULL packing service is.... But I'll stop at that...4) 'we use all our own trucks'... When John told me this - I thought great - they a big company I'll only have to deal with them as they were not a broker! Another lie!!! Atlas moving lines moved out stuff into Chicago and another van company took our stuff from New York to pioneer dispatch centre. 5) 3-7 working day delivery - lies!! Took longer! And they were not helpful about getting my goods here sooner. In their contract they said up to 21 days but that is for much longer distances so that should not apply to us. Again not what the sales guy John said on the phone. If he had said up 21 days - I would have said cheers!!! See ya later!!!6) The under quoted me on the cubic feet! Everything on the list was what was collected. Not one thing extra! I would understand them needing to charge me extra if I forgot a to add a few things on the delivery list... But there was not! Again that 'binding price' that John went on and on about before I agreed to go with his company - was a big bullshit scammy way of charging me extra - and extra $300!!! Again - where was that binding price you were taking about again? 7) they were 7 hours late when collecting our goods!! I waited at home for 7 hours on my birthday weekend and had to cancel all my birthday plans that evening as they only arrived at 5.30pm when they were meant to have been there at 10.am. They also only let me know at 2.30pm that they were running late! Laughable! Also the sakes dude gave me his number to call if there were any issues... Did he answer his phone at all that day? Ya surprise surprise he didn't. 8) Another company delivered our goods! They were hell bent on making me pay for a shuttle service. They first went on about not making it under the bridges in Chicago - I pushed back and surprise surprise they found away. Then they said ah the traffic is to bad we won't be able to back the van into the loading doc. Ahhh it's 8.30am on a Saturday - what traffic? Cars can wait 5 minutes while you back in. They told me some bull about how this one time they had an accident and that's another reason why need to use the shuttle bus... Please from what they were saying it didn't even happen to them- it was another driver and a car tried to squeeze past the truck and it scratched the car. Then I talked the around the traffic issue and said people can wait 5 minutes. They then made a half hearted attempt to turn into the loading zone. Keeping in mind this loading area had 3 other deliveries that same week with the same size van and they backed in just fine! They literally were come up with excuse after excuse on how they could not fit! The driver clearly was not licensed because if he was - he would have been able to back in like all the 100s of delivery drivers before him. Shuttle cost $350 extra!! Don't believe a word any sales person from this company says! They should retrain every sales person they have not to lie to their customers!!! They were not even the cheapest quote I got but I went with them because they assured me that they would take care of everything and it will be the most hassle free move I've ever made (again more lies). I've moved 12 times in my life and lived on three different continents - this is the WORST moving experience I've ever had.

Don't use this company.... I can't stress this enough. Never even think about it! My daughter was moving from Connecticut to Manchester, NH and her company told her to gets quotes as they were reimbursing her for her move. Pioneer had the cheapest quote so she went with them....big mistake. They asked the dispatcher for an estimate of arrival, no call back. 10 days later the van arrived after numerous calls with no resolution or answers. The worst thing was that they marked their suitcases and several boxes they were taking with them and when the van had left my daughter noticed the suitcases and boxes gone. All were well marked and they contained medications and work clothing. After many calls about this they were told tough luck.Imagine spending 10 days in a new city without Meds and clothing and hotel bills. They had no toiletries either. The worst is yet to come. Without warning the van arrived with a cell call "we are outside" and 2 guys demanded more money because the load was larger than quoted and there were extra steps to enter the apartment. Much arguing ensued and my daughters items were ransomed so she had no choice. When the van was opened the boxes were wet, broken or falling apart. Clothing falling out and furniture stained and scratched. Unbelievable but true. This is not the end but when we have more info we will add to this review. The outcome is predictable but I will continue later when we are disappointed again by this scam artist.

Wish I could give 0 stars. I am filing a report with the better business bureau and pursuing further legal action. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. DONT EVEN GET A QUOTE. Spoke with Ken who booked my move over 5+ phone calls over a week. Moving from NYC to DC with a tight timeline for work. I'm confirmed for a move between 7-9 am. Dispatcher confirms the same time frame day before in the evening. The MORNING OF THE MOVE the foreman calls me at 10 to say he'll be here in 2 hours. Then at noon he says he's stuck in traffic and will be another hour and half. I've now been waiting for 7 hours. THEN HERE IS THE KICKER... They tell me they won't be delivering my stuff till about 5-6 days later! This entire time I couldn't have stressed enough SAME DAY DELIVERY.  Even told Ken about booking my elevator at the new building for the evening estimating drop off time to be around 3-4 pm. I shopped at around 7-8 different services for same day move and I am a meticulously detailed person. No way I would not have even mentioned same day. It also never said on any paper I signed that their "policy" is delivery in 3-5 business days. The day of my move after being up since 6 am in anticipation of my move, at 2 pm I finally had to cancel and was so fortunate to find a replacement vendor. BEWARE. THEY ARE EPICALLY HORRIBLE.
