FAKE NEWS!  FAKE REVIEWS!  so much of this going around.   It's a shame because small business owners work so hard in this country.   Can't say for sure that all of these negative reviews are fake but I know from personal experience that these guys are GREAT!What can I say?  I live in PA, about 3.5 hours away.  I rent out an apartment in Rego Park and needed a washer/dryer that I purchased on Craigslist moved from Tribeca to Rego Park.  I found NYC Mini Mover's on Craiglist and when I called, a guy named Vincent answered the phone.   He was professional, friendly and communicated very well.  He explained that they charge by the hour and that there was a two hour minimum.  I agreed to have them move the Washer/Dryer.  So just a quick recap, I really didn't want to drive 3.5 hours each way from PA so I hired a mover from craigslist to move a Washer/Dryer from Craigslist and I did this all over the phone and e-mail without meeting anybody.  Needless to say, I really started to get worried.  I fully anticipated everything going wrong with this.   But to my surprise (amazement actually) nothing went wrong at all.  NYC Mini Movers was scheduled to come to Tribeca at 10am on a Tuesday, Vincent called me around 8am on that day just to confirm.  The movers arrived in Tribeca just after 10am, they were in and out of the pickup location within 25 minutes.  They arrived at my apartment in Rego Park about 30 to 45 minutes later and dropped off the Washer/Dryer as promised.   Vincent told me in advance that there was a two hour minimum and I was charged exactly what I was told I would be charged for the services that we agreed would be done, at the time that we agreed they would be done.  Quiet frankly, I was (am still) AMAZED!  I was so pleasantly surprised that I gave what I thought was a nice tip to the boys and I really wanted to write this review.  I know that everybody's experiences are different but I had a 100% (not 99%) perfect experience with this company.  One last thing, I am a small business owner myself.  I know first-hand that there are a lot of fake reviews out there and the moving industry is highly competitive.  If you are on the fence, call and ask for Vincent.  After speaking with, him go with your gut.   I ignored some of the bad reviews that I read and went with my gut and I'm very glad that I did.

I don't even know where to start.  I booked a move over the weekend, girl was really nice.  It was weird to me when she tried to convince me to pay cash or she would have to charge me tax if I paid by credit card, but I agreed.  We left the exact time of the move open (in a range of hours) so that I could confirm the time the storage unit would open.  I asked for email confirmation and did not receive it.  2 days later I remembered I never received the confirmation and called back.  The person that I first spoke to confirmed over the phone the reservation but said the woman in charge of reservation would call me back.  I asked to be called back at a specific number because I was at work.  The person said "text me that number so that we can confirm".  Again, no call.  I assumed we were set (my mistake for assuming I was dealing with a reputable company) and with work and packing I did not follow up quickly enough.   I was told I would get a confirmation call the night before to ensure everything was good to go.  Move time gets here and...no movers.  I call them and then they state I never had a reservation and "where is my email confirmation".   When I press them on the details they get on the defensive and denied ever having confirmed anything at all.  Clearly unprofessional, disrespectful, and overall small scale scam company.  DO NOT RISK YOUR MOVE WITH THEM. NOT WORTH THE RISK TO SAVE A FEW DOLLARS.  I should have realized when they asked me to pay cash only or tax would be charged.  Are they not collecting and paying tax to IRS on cash trasactions???What an unfortunate event for everyone.  I now have no movers for my move, and they have a very unsatisfied and capable customer.

Do you love eating pieces of dog shit? Watching a retarded child be beaten? Court in Newark? These are things I find more enjoyable than dealing w NYC minimovers. Showed up late, worked slow, priced gauged the time clock, were high, boss was rude as can be. Overall nightmare, do not recommend.

I love these guys.  I moved twice in 2 weeks and both times they were wonderful!  Fast, timely, sweet, and fair.  Nothing broken, nothing scratched or banged up.  Same dudes from the first move, moved me the second time (hugs all around!).  I dig that they care about the people they move and not about it just being a job.

I used mini movers for a move about a year ago, and had a fairly pleasant experience at a great price, so I did not hesitate to use them again when I moved a few weeks ago...apparently, it really depends on who shows up to do your move, because these guys were THE. WORST.I have a lot of words to say about them, but I'll keep it brief:1. They showed up over an hour late. 2. They demanded payment before the job was done, and one guy actually threatened to leave will the rest of my things until I paid. I don't like getting a shake down in the process of obtaining services, but I went ahead and paid because I just wanted to get the day over with.3. They unpacked a bit more, and THEN THEY JUST LEFT. WITH SOME OF MY STUFF.I called the company when I realized my stuff was missing, and whomever I talked to was extremely rude and dismissive. I called again on Monday, hoping to get a supervisor or manager on the phone, and they didn't answer...all day. Save yourself the misery and trip to the police station and DON'T USE MINI MOVERS.
