I would prefer to leave the memory of this all behind, but since I picked their company based on reviews I feel that I have to do this.My husband and I were relocating to Mexico.  We were not bringing very much, no furniture or big appliances.  It was the art work that we had collected in our 33 years together, clothes, pictures and small kitchen appliances.  The estimate that we first got from NY International Shipping was $2500 since we had a total of 20 boxes.  Other companies were double that, actually so was NY International Shipping!  Even after their cost had gone up so dramatically, we still used their company based on their claim that they specialized in moving art work and even created customized crates to package the art.  They then told us there was an error and we should never have been quoted that price and it was $4500 and would not be a penny over.  Well let's get the suspense over with, the total cost not including what had to spend to correct their errors was $6214.16.They picked up our shipment on September 12th 2016.We then went to the Mexican Consulate filed the paper work for bringing shipments into the country.  Took the paperwork to John Street to their office where we were told that we would get the shipment within 2-4 weeks.  We were not going to be there in two weeks so we arranged for someone to be available to receive the shipment.  Not a necessary step. When we arrived in Mexico we received an email from Atlasmex the moving company that would be responsible for our shipment once it arrived in Mexico, which we were lead to believe would either be by air of sea.  Atlasmex was a very responsible moving company unfortunately since NY International is not a responsible moving company, we had to resend all of the documentation to Atlasmex. We first had to get it scanned (our scanner was in our shipment) once reviewed by Atlasmex that everything was in order, we then had to send it express mail as they needed the seal of the consulate. The paperwork that NY International Shipping had but did not send to Atlasmex.  We are now starting to incur more expenses. We are now in weekly contact with Atlaasmex trying to figure out where our shipment is.  We were told by NY International Shipping that Atlasmex is responsible at this point.  4 weeks go by, 8 weeks go by and yet we still don't have our shipment.  Atlasmex tells us that they don't know where our shipment is, they get it in Laredo and they were getting alarmed as  NY International Shipping was not returning their calls either and they were concerned because it's now November and we should have had our shipment by mid-October. I start to leave messages for NY International shipping... guess what, yep you guessed it, and they never returned the calls.  I was also emailing, twice a day.  Finally I receive a call back from their Logistics person and she's surprised I have not received anything yet and will get back to me...  right, so after another flurry of emails she tells me on November 8th that  my shipment is in Laredo is going through customs and being picked up by Atlasmex. On the morning of November 9th I receive a call from the gentleman driving the moving truck, yes our shipment did not go by either air or sea, it was driven... anyway, the driver calls, tells us how lucky we were to get on his truck because he was just able to fit it in, and he is about 5 hours away will we be home.  Yes of course we will be home, can't believe we are finally getting our shipment.  Yes, you guessed it again, about 9 hours later we receive a call from the driver saying he turned over the second page of the moving form and realized we are in Mexico.  He doesn't think he can deliver our shipment because he doesn't have a passport and can't get into Mexico.  YEP, Picked up September 12th and on November 9th still in the United States somewhere now in Texas.  After we were assured that our shipment went through customs the day before. So I call the Logistics person at NY International shipping and she's outraged not that our shipment is not delieverd, not that our shipment is not in Mexico as she told us yesterday, she's outraged that the driver called us. Let me cut to the chase, del. on Dec 1st. Every box was broken, all art work damaged. went through all kinds of grief because they don't like dissatisfied customers (you would think they would be used to it) Just got the Ins. settlement after $500 deductible they are sending $51 bucks, if I want it wired it will cost $50DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT hire this company. They go by the names NY Moving Group and NY International Shipping. They are by far the worst moving company I ever have worked with. I recently paid  them a lot of money for an international move and they seemed great on the phone until they received my money and then everything changed.  They continued to send me misleading and inaccurate information and screwed up just about every aspect of my move leaving me to figure it out and handle much of the logistics myself. My container didn't even make the ship it was scheduled to be on because of their incompetence. At some point they simply decided to stop returning my calls and emails.  I plan on reporting them to the better business bureau.

I cannot say enough terrible things about this moving company. I had my items moved out on the 22 June and even to this day I'm being hounded for more money and threatened with late fees despite having a firm quote provided and everything paid upfront. It's really my own fault, I should have done my own due diligence. Never use this company, I've had 2 international moves already, this is my 3rd, and it's been a complete disaster. The salesman, Kevin, was nice but now like all sales people he has over promised and vastly under delivered.
