This is quite possibly the worst company I have ever worked with in my life. After delaying my move by a day so they could have a full 48 hours to confirm their insurance with my building (for which I sent over all the necessary paperwork and contact information), they arrived at my building on the day of the move only to "suddenly" learn they did not have the necessary insurance. Since I had already paid the 20% down payment they seemed ready to just drive away then, but I had no options as I had to leave the city that day. Being a pragmatic person, I took action and moved ALL of my belonging out of my apartment BY MYSELF into their truck. At the very end, my building doormen felt bad enough to let the movers up to carry down half my couch (I had already brought down half of it myself). After this, New York NY Moving had the audacity to charge me an extra $150 for the men having to carry my couch down the stairs. THEY HAD ACTUALLY DONE NOTHING ELSE THE ENTIRE TIME. I MOVED MYSELF OUT OF MY APARTMENT. (I am a ~120lb girl.) I tried to explain to them how unreasonable I felt this charge was given that they did not deliver on most of the services promised in their $1800 estimate but they refused to even negotiate with me and held my furniture hostage until I paid the $150 (plus 8% credit card service charge). Oh and then they broke a table along the way and my couch arrived all scratched up. I have never been more disappointed with a company before in my entire life and I only hope that this review can serve to steer others away from them. (Seriously...what's $150 when you've already gotten $1800 AND WHEN THE CLIENT WAS FORCED TO MOVE HERSELF OUT OF THE APARTMENT DUE TO YOUR INCOMPETENCE...at that point...I believe you should swallow the $150, admit that you messed up, and attempt to pretend to care in the slightest about client satisfaction.) (Of relevance...I did tip the movers well...this charge was on top of that.)

I have to ditto the July review but we have not even received our delivery. It has been 30 days and we have been given the run around. They don't return phone calls and say they will look into it and not call you back. At this point we have no faith that we will ever get our possessions. This company has no business being in business. This is no way to run a company. How would you like it if you move and don't know where your world possessions are? Please don't even call them. You will be frustrated!
