I've had the pleasure of working with Marc at least 5 times over the past several years. In addition I've recommended him to countless friends. It's rare that you find someone who doesn't let you down. Marc never disappoints. Marc is curious, punctual and professional. He wraps and protects goods with care. I can't recommend Marc enough for any move, big or small.

Move date: 5/28/2016Short version: Ridiculously horrible experience. Literally shouted at my girlfriend and I to go F*CK ourselves. Complained constantly and insulted us. Threatened to leave our furniture half-assembled. Super slow (took 2 days instead of 1). Late both days. Broke our bed. Broke a small glass statue. Scuffed several freshly painted walls. Refused to assemble our tv mounting despite it being clearly marked in the bid he agreed to. Demanded an extra $120 on top of the flat rate we agreed to even though he was the cause of the problems, and then called me a cheapskate and an ***hole... right after I gave him exactly what he asked for!I wrote a much longer version of all the craziness but the Yelp character limit cut it off. I copied it into a Google Doc if you're interested in the details: docs.google.com/document…It looks like MSP has favorable reviews here and on the CityMove website, so I don't know if maybe he was just having a terrible day when he did ours. All I can say is that in our particular case, the experience was dreadful so take that as you will.

Marc helped me with my move this morning from BK to UES and it was extremely smooth and easy! They came right on time and were super helpful. It was done within a couple of hours and very efficiently. I would definitely recommend it, and I will probably move again in the near future and I know who I'll call!

The movers were great but Marc was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He yelled at me about how hard my bed was to put together. Even after I said I would put the bed together myself he continued his rant. I felt unsafe and would never allow this man in my home again. The move took 12 hours for 2 bedrooms a couch and 10 boxes. The leg of my dresser was broken during the move.I signed up for Yelp specifically to rate this company, as it was completely awful.

It's true--this was my first experience with professional movers in NYC, but based on what I've heard from friends, these guys are a sparkling gem in the mire and mess that is moving in NYC.Marc and his team pulled up exactly at our scheduled time.  Marc was friendly and fair--my roommate and I ended up having quite a bit more stuff to move than we had originally gotten pricing for, but Marc quoted an added charge of only $60, which was totally reasonable, considering (and he told us this before any  moving began, so we weren't slapped with a surprise charge at the end).The movers were careful and efficient--they wrapped our mattresses in blankets and shrink wrapped them...and we were only moving .5 miles!  The team also brought their own wardrobe boxes that they use to move hanging and miscellaneous items.The total job from start to finish took five hours, and that was without so much as a 10 minute break from any of these guys - they were tireless.  They set up our beds in our new place too.When it was all said and done the total cost was exactly as we had planned for, and we tipped Marc and his team generously, which he was appreciative of (I've heard of other movers demanding a tip, or arguing that it's not enough).MSP Movers made moving day joyous.  I will absolutely call them again, and would recommend Marc and his team to anyone.
