HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!! STOLEN BOXES !! STOLEN BOXES !!!  BROKEN BOXES !!! we were SO disappointed in this entire process. When i talked to mike for the first time who came to our house for estimate. All was good till that time and he making feel secure and confident with his company. I mentioned about reviews they got from previous people who mentioned about *STOLEN* boxes and he was so confident and said that it won't happen for sure and made feel us so secure.i might have asked him 10 times that please i don't want any of my boxes missing. he explained the whole process that we will provide track-ID for each boxes blah blah blah n all.Please DON't Believe in all that at all. they took all of our boxes and they didn't give us any trackID or anything. We just had our # no boxes count with us only. when they delivered our boxes to other place, we got so busy with all boxed and people will be behave so nicely with you and we just believed them.But when next day we were looking for our DYSON Vacuum cleaner which we bought it recently cost of around $$500.00 which was MISSING. we were so surprised and disappointed that time that why did we choose this service even though knowing previous reviews of STOLEN BOXES.Then when we tried to contact mike, he never answered our phone and office people were keep saying that he is sick/out blah blah.. They said that we will look into our storage area and all and call you back. NO Response till now. I called them again still SAME ANSWER. Till now we didn't get our Vacuum back or NO RESPONSE from them.PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T USE THIS SERVICE AT ALL. DEFINITELY YOU WILL END UP WITH LOOSING MANY BOXES. We didn't even keep our electronics with them while moving otherwise God knows what would have happened. Thank God for that. The whole experience was an utter disappointment. DO NOT USE MAHWAH MOVERS.

Wow, we were SO disappointed in this entire process. Initially, their estimator, Mike, did an excellent job of making us feel secure and confident in the company's capabilities. We initially did not have a definitive move in date and he seemed flexible and supportive of our situation.MOVE OUT:  our estimate was based on a 10-man crew and an 8-hour day. A 4-person crew showed up, late of course. I have to say that these guys were really hard working, professional and friendly.  They worked diligently throughout the entire day.  We kept asking about the rest of the crew. Apparently, Mahwah Movers has a consistent problem with overselling and overbooking -- their own crew was griping about the way they are exploited for the company's profit.  The second crew finally showed up from another move at 3:00.  THEY DID NOTHING.  They stood in our driveway, smoking and joking, left cigarette butts and trash when they finally left.  Someone from the crew stole my Bose speaker that had been playing all day.  It just mysteriously walked away with the moving truck.  Mike assured me that he would buy me a new one -- funny but I never received it.STORAGE: Who knows? I assume it was properly stored. There had to be organizational issues as I never received several big boxes that of course, contained all of our Apple Airport Express equipment and assorted household goods.MOVE IN: Mike called several days before our scheduled move in to ask if we could bump the day back one day as they -- you guessed it!  -- were overbooked. We got approval to do so and he gave us a discount for the inconvenience. Same good crew showed up (two hours late) plus a few other guys that seemed to be professional. We though that everything went well.  When we started unpacking, we realized that a lot of stuff was broken or damaged. A box of Limoges china, bubble wrapped and in a hard side plastic bin, was crushed. An antique dressing table had a broken leg. An antique tilt top table from the 1800s had a giant gash on it. An expensive contemporary bookcase had broken tension rods.  Scratches on beds.  Sloppy wrapping I presume.SUMMARY: We approached Mike about the broken furniture, the stolen Bose speaker, and missing boxes. A few missing items showed up within a couple weeks of my inquiry. We were promised that he would send someone to fix the bookcase but it never materialized in the nearly three months post-move. Always the same excuse -- "We are so busy!"  After a couple of weeks, he just never communicated again. How's that for responsive, proactive, accountable professionalism?  The whole experience was an utter disappointment. DO NOT USE MAHWAH MOVERS.

I also unfortunately had issues with Mahwah movers.  They damaged my ceiling and walls when moving.  They said that they would fix it but never did.  They took longer than the estimate time.  When they left I realized that my jewelry was missing.  It has been locked in a safe but somehow was now missing.  We had transported it ourselves but left it out while moving things in ourselves.  We called Mike and said that he completely trusted his movers.  Really? then why are there multiple reviews now that say otherwise?   Don't use them.

We were given only two dates to choose for our new furniture to be delivered and chose Feb 28th. They didn't call us until 3:30 the day before to tell us that deliver time window was between (5-9Pm) the next day.   The day came and the time came and around 6 pm we got a call saying that the delivery of the furniture would be  a little later in the time frame. Time ticked away as we were EXHAUSTED. 9:15pm came and no word.  I called the office and they were closed. Called the mover who told me they were in Manville (40 mins away from me) and were not done there yet and wouldn't be to our place until probably 11pm! I had to re-schedule because we were so tired and our apartment neighbors wouldn't appreciated a late move-in. The mover told me they would put paper work in and that someone would call me in the morning. No one called me in the morning.  I just called and they said they cannot deliver the furniture today because they are already out for the day. I'm out of town the rest of the week and they can't do Monday so NOW my furniture is scheduled to be delivered TUESDAY. A whole week later. I'm not happy.

I had Mahwah Movers help me move my furniture from my apartment to a storage unit down the street.  Mike came to the house to do an estimate and came to $100/hr.  He said based off of time, he estimated the move to be about $300.  He came to this conclusion based on two men, the time to pack and unpack, and travel time.  The day of the move, there ended up being three men and it took only an hour and 20 minutes for everything to be over.  The men quoted that I had received a quote for $150/hr and because of travel time everything came to $360.  I did not have any issues with the drivers or any damage to my belongings, but I find it to be dishonest to quote a certain price and completely disregard it.
