While staying in NYC for a week to help a family member move we used this company. All the movers were polite and worked fast. They even helped us a pack a few items which saved time. My relative has a car on lease that only allows a certain amount of mileage so we also shipped a car with this company as well. Service was smooth and nothing was damaged. No complaints

The salesman for this company was very nice and reassuring over the phone and by email. I was given an estimate by email. I asked questions about the estimate. The day before the move I was contacted by the dispatcher, who tried to persuade me that I needed an additional mover even though my move was a partial move. This raised the hourly rate from $125 to $166. The movers were late but did a good job of wrapping certain items to protect them and moving everything onto the truck. I was not asked to sign anything. I was given different information by the foreman than I had been given by the salesman as to the cost of the move. This raised the cost from an original estimate of $1000 to something closer to $1800. The movers took a very long time to drive from New York to Philadelphia, much longer than the two other moves I had done. (My belongings were moved in three parts, some in January, some in June and the remainder in November.)Once the movers arrived in Philadelphia, I was told that they would not remove my belongings from the truck until I paid them in full. (The previous two movers were paid the balance after everything was moved in.) I had to argue for almost two hours with the foreman and with the dispatcher about the terms of the move, even calling the police at one point. Fortunately, I was able to stand firm and refer to the estimate I was given by email, which stated 3 movers at a cost of $125 per hour, not $166. It was a very stressful experience. I also discovered that the truck had the name of a different moving company on it. The guys who did the actual work of moving did a good job but it felt very much like those in charge were trying to rip me off.

I've lived on the countryside my entire life. My family has owned a huge farm for decades now and naturally, I inherited everything. Of course, it would not be just us relocating - we had to move the farm as well. This is where we became a bit worried about whether we were going to be able to afford such a big investment. We weren't sure if there were any moving companies out there which would be able to help us with moving our farm. We started searching online and asked a couple of friends for some advice. One day, we came across Long Distance Movers' website. We decided to take a closer look and, after a few hours, found excellent reviews from several satisfied customers which also had their farms relocated to a different location. However, there was still one issue that was bothering us and that was whether we were going to be able to afford this or not. So, we decided to call the company and ask for a moving quote or an estimate. Fortunately for us, they offered us a really good moving estimate and we decided that that was it! We scheduled our relocation and began receiving instructions for preparing our farm for relocation. It was a really complicated process, but their representative team made sure to check up on us every now and then, just to make sure we knew what we were doing. This made this entire preparation process ten times easier and less stressful for us. We're very thankful for them. The best part comes now - when the moving day came and when the movers arrived, they immediately started organizing and packing everything we had on our farm, including the pigpens, tractors, silage wrap, pallets, virtually everything we had on our farm! We were very impressed by how skilled these guys were - it's as if they were made to do this! They were really professional and we couldn't have been happier with the fact that we hired them. Once they packed everything up, they started loading the items onto their moving trucks. Because we wanted the entire farm moved, as well as our home, they had to schedule around 5-6 huge moving trucks, in order to fit everything comfortably. Anyway, when they finished, we slowly started moving towards our new address. We arrived quickly, and they started unpacking everything. Our new farm was slowly being put together, as well as our new home. After they finished with everything, they thanked us for hiring them and left. All I have to say is that we're absolutely thrilled with these guys! They made our lives so much easier with their help, we truly cannot thank them enough! If I'm ever in the position to recommend a moving company, it will certainly be Long Distance Movers!
