Ikea Delivery and Moving Service

I bought an IKEA bookshelf on Craigslist and needed it to be delivered. They messaged me promptly and was able to pick it up the next day.Upon delivery, they even made sure that I knew how to install the pins for the bookshelf. 5/5 service with no problems.

I had Russell help me move this last November and had yet to post a review. I desperately needed help getting AC window units installed. I tried 2 business but was twice told that they wouldn't service my area. I remember that Russell advertised handyman services. I texted him and within minutes he responded and scheduled an appointment for the next day. He was a life saver!!His crew was prompt and courteous. It was no easy feat moving a washer and dryer up a narrow attic staircase after the delivery men refused to install them. Real talk..... Russell will not disappoint!

Ordered a dresser from the IKEA store and put down more than what the dresser itself cost for the home delivery service. The specified timeframe for delivery was 2-6 PM. Fast forward to the day of delivery, and not only does the service IKEA uses not call the correct phone number, they arrive BEFORE the specified timeframe and pressure us as if we were the ones late. When they finally deliver the item, turns out they delivered the WRONG ITEM, but there was no way to tell until the package was opened because there were no labels whatsoever on it. Calling customer service did not help beyond getting a case number opened, and the resolution manager in charge of handling messes like this ("Tafara") has no contact information. We manage to identify the lady with whom our packages were mixed up (without any help whatsoever from IKEA or its contractors), and have to pay out of pocket to make sure we get our large, bulky furniture items. What is the point of paying for a home delivery service if 1) the package doesn't even get delivered to the home and, worse, 2) we have to re-deliver the mistaken package to someone else ourselves? The least thing IKEA could have done was have a resolution manager that can actually be contacted to resolve these issues. Had we known this would happen, we would have simply lugged it home ourselves, or better yet, not bought from this store to begin with.

Next day service, at the time I requested, and he's nice! Ikea itself advertises next day delivery, but when you request it they look at you like you're crazy (at least that happened to me two years ago).
